I almost always go for silver/white hair on my ladies in these sort of games but I've been trying to branch out.  I love it.  My favorite Sim has silver hair but she's forever in her twenties.

Ooooo so you play on console or pc? I hope these pc patches don't make this impossible for me!! Last time I played a fem elf, sera came on to me when I was in the midst of romancing cullen, it was so bizarre, I had to awkwardly turn her down... quizzy was all still need to end with cullen on the balcony...overall, very happy with his romance except I would've liked more party banter in the field about him. I can see Dorian trying to get the juicy details or Viv giving some motherly piece of advice that's really awkward.

I'm on PC... so... we shall see how this turns out.  It's not like I exactly kept this bug a secret, so maybe it was fixed  ?  I'm brainstorming the best way to approach the bug.  I'll probably do Solas's quest first to see if he even brings up the kiss again.

So I registered just to *swoon* at Cullen's husky whisper in Wicked Hearts.  Greg Ellis, Gideon Emery, Brandon Keener, where does Bioware come up with these boys?  

 

I'd originally written Cullen off as Alistair 2.0, i.e., a fairly vanilla relationship with a boyishly charming "nice guy." (Plus I'm not really into blondes, and could Cullen's armor be any more unflattering?)  But Cullen has such a sexy balance of shy emotional availability and hard-edged military confidence, I was immediately smitten.   

 

I also love that Cullen has like, a real job, and I don't have to worry about him getting all judgmental about my minor decisions. I think this adviser thing really works; it feels more like a mature relationship between equals.  And Leliana and Josie making fun of Cullen at the war table was priceless!

 

Edit: PS I've been holding off on Sera's prank (unmarked) quest because I read it can bug Cullen's Skyhold existence.  Anyone know when it's safe to do it or should I just be cautious and turn Sera down?

I play on PS4 and did Sera's prank twice, didn't experience a bug.  Just do a hard save, try it out and if it does something, reload.  Ha ha, real job, I never thought about it that way. 

 

I just loaded a random save and told Cullen we need to end it just to experience it, and when I say I'm sorry, he says "You were - it was too much to ask". Blackwall also says "you were" and then doesn't finish when you break up with him.  I am what?? You're killing me!  The best thing that ever happened to me? A ham sandwich? A disappointment? What?

Goal tonight is to get to that doofy smile she gives him on their first flirt do you save all your flirts with him for when you've broken up with blackwall and solas I wonder? I'll have to make lots of saves to make sure I don't screw it up!

Lol, yes that's exactly what blackwall says in his broody serious voice..."you were...a ham sandwich" I tested the cullen break up too and gah, he's so...crumbled wicked sad feels...reload!

You can flirt with Cullen as much as you want while you're in the other relationship as long as you don't pick the "start a romance" option until you've broken up with whoever it is.  He'll turn you down and I've heard that even if you try it again later on he may not recognize the breakup.  I don't know how long the game "saves" your convo options with Cullen.

 

Something I've been wondering - if you do an Iron Bull romance and you get to the part where you get caught having sex, can you still break up with IB at that point if you tell the advisors it's not serious, and you don't give him that dragon tooth? It would be hilarious and weird if you could still romance Cullen after that.

So the Dell guy came by and replaced my video card and fan!!!!!! We ran around in DAI for about five minutes and everything seemed fine. So, fingers crossed!!!! Oh and I had everything on Ultra setting just to test it.

Just an update on my participation in the 5K celebration and the Cullen fic I was and am writing. I took some time last night to think and just let the annoyance drain itself out of my system, and since I woke today with a clear mind...well I intend to try and write the fic and finish it as I had originally planned. So, I am going to try and get it done before the celebration...I don't know what could had been with my original story, but this version...well I hope you guys will like it. Sorry, for the glumness yesterday and the OT. I am much more my usual self now that I have a cleared mind.

Aww cullen would know he's sloppy seconds?!? Too cruel, Thane!

I thought you had to give him the tooth to even get that scene it appears you're locked into most everyone except for Dorian once you get the romance started. I dont think blackwall counts because if you stay with him after his reveal, you're locked in there too?? Maybe someone can confirm otherwise?

I found a video of it - yes you can break up with Bull in that scene.  You don't get the chance to actually give him the necklace until the advisors leave. So unless the game has a more sophisticated algorithm to where you can't romance Cass, Cullen or Josie after that scene, technically you should be able to pursue others.  I don't plan on trying it but it's funny to think about!

I'm fairly certain someone reported going straight from that scene and breaking up with IB to Cullen's office to trigger his romance.

Hey had another question I'm sure already asked but I might as well make one biiiig post! Is cullen the type to want to get married? I'm head cannoning no since it doesn't seem to be a major institution unless you're a noble or royalty, and he would be perfectly content just being with quizzy.

 

In my headcanon, he absolutely is. In fact - and I'm probably the only one who imagines it this way - the whole "I don't want to move on" speech was his way of finally popping the question. He and my Trevelyan "eloped" the next afternoon and were married by Mother Giselle in Skyhold's little chantry (much to Josie's dismay). I have lots of lovely bits of head canon surrounding it all - "like little jewels," as Dorian would say.  As far as I can tell, marriage seems to be a fairly common thing among non-nobles; I assume when it's not political, as it tends to be among nobility, it's purely a matter of religion and/or culture, much as it is in the real world.

HA!  I was just skimming through earlier and read this out of context and just thought it was a poem you were working on (hence the like).  It works quite well as a poem, no?
