HA!  I was just skimming through earlier and read this out of context and just thought it was a poem you were working on (hence the like).  It works quite well as a poem, no?

Aww thank you! I'm "artsy fartsy" as I like to say.   I'm an amateur photographer irl, but not sure how much help that would give me in the CC since I don't do people. I just remember doing some reading on "desirable" facial proportions when I was studying eyebrows and hair styles by shape for myself. I guess that came in handy. I also try not to make my elves to "elfy" as Sera would say.

Edit: PS I've been holding off on Sera's prank (unmarked) quest because I read it can bug Cullen's Skyhold existence.  Anyone know when it's safe to do it or should I just be cautious and turn Sera down? 

 

The bug can happen if you do her prank quest before Perseverance. I always save the prank quest til after sexy-time anyways so you can get the "sturdy" comment about the desk. 

 

And here's my random thought of the day. I read all this fic and see all this fanart showing Cullen and the IQ (or any couple for that matter) all snuggly-wuggly waking up in each other's arms. It's cute and makes me "da'aaw" but I also have to snicker a bit. IRL I imagine them having territory wars in bed like any other couple. "Stop kicking me!" "G'ah, your feet are cold!" "Get off my side!" "My arm fell asleep!" "Roll over, you're snoring!"

So I registered just to *swoon* at Cullen's husky whisper in Wicked Hearts.  Greg Ellis, Gideon Emery, Brandon Keener, where does Bioware come up with these boys?  

 

I'd originally written Cullen off as Alistair 2.0, i.e., a fairly vanilla relationship with a boyishly charming "nice guy." (Plus I'm not really into blondes, and could Cullen's armor be any more unflattering?)  But Cullen has such a sexy balance of shy emotional availability and hard-edged military confidence, I was immediately smitten.   

 

I also love that Cullen has like, a real job, and I don't have to worry about him getting all judgmental about my minor decisions. I think this adviser thing really works; it feels more like a mature relationship between equals.  And Leliana and Josie making fun of Cullen at the war table was priceless!

I think trying to romance both Blackwall and Solas at the same time prevented the polyamory bug.  Solas didn't mention the kiss on the balcony.  Oh well... I did want to try Blackwall's romance.  I guess what remains to be seen is if she'll stick with Blackwall through everything or fall for Cullen XD

In my headcanon, he absolutely is. In fact - and I'm probably the only one who imagines it this way - the whole "I don't want to move on" speech was his way of finally popping the question. He and my Trevelyan "eloped" the next afternoon and were married by Mother Giselle in Skyhold's little chantry (much to Josie's dismay). I have lots of lovely bits of head canon surrounding it all - "like little jewels," as Dorian would say.  As far as I can tell, marriage seems to be a fairly common thing among non-nobles; I assume when it's not political, as it tends to be among nobility, it's purely a matter of religion and/or culture, much as it is in the real world.

I just cant picture him proposing! What is wrong with me! I'm totally the romantic type, I swear! My hubby proposed to me in Yosemite National Park with a view of the mountains and I was a bumbling puddle of moosh!

I'm afraid I've taken my head canon cullen too far down the "Inquisition comes before the Inquisitor" path he seems like he'd NOT propose because she's the "find dangerous situations and risk her life" sort. And the inquisition would be compromised if suddenly it's commander and leader went off and had babies. Idk...my head canon keeps them in union, just not one that needs official ceremony I guess. ..

Guess that it's up to each to interpret, I can picture Cullen do that after the end of the game however. Well, in my headcannon, my quizzy disband the inquisition like a year or two after defeating Cory, then they got married, got a kid & went to live incognito in deep backcountry Ferelden (then she died and yadda yadda yadda fanfic). But I know that this will get crushed very soon by DLCs.

I guess I just haven't played out the disbanded inquisition far enough in my head. if that happens, and trouble doesn't find them (which I'm sure it will because not everyone loves the inquisition and there were the two more powerful people in it!), it could happen.

Yeah I got him single Dad for fanfic purpose. Usually I'd go by a worldstate for 2 fanfics, I've got one published (Amell visit Cullen) & the other one's for the 5K

Actually I killed my quizzy for story reason (RIP, her face is my avatar).

 

Nah I don't think we'll ever see the disbandment in game DLC actually, but it's surely an interesting point to see in the next game (aka DA4).

 

About Cullen proposing, the only place I can see it is her balcony. The view's magnificent indeed! Or maybe somewhere in Ferelden? Crestwood's nice actually when it's not raining. Or emerald graves for Dalish quizzy

Maybe it just stems from my own choices irl that I don't think they need a ring or ceremony to solidify their commitment to each other. We know that this isn't the end for the Inquisition (in fact, I think things are just beginning) and it just seems off-character (at least to me) to stop everything for a wedding, like it would be the last thing on their minds. They love each other and have made a commitment to be together and that is enough. I can see why others would want it though. I do think, however, that Bioware will leave this open for head canons rather than actually introduce it simply because there are so many different opinions on the matter. The same can be said for the "babies" discussion. Some like the idea and others not so much (me in the NOPE! camp). 

 

 

*edit* I also wanted to add that I am a sad panda in finding out the Cheat Engine is now causing my game to crash since the last patch. No more armor in Skhyold for me! I need to find some nice jammies - as lore-friendly as possible.

Edited to add, in an effort to stay on topic, I don't see them getting married until the world has stopped burning, basically. I can totally headcanon a really long engagement though, like, he asks her on the balcony the morning after the battle and then they just decide to figure it out later. She's still got the anchor (I think so, right?) and he has this massive Inquisition force handle and decide what to do with. I can definitely see marriage because it's traditional and this is Thedas, so it fits in their world, but I don't see it happening anytime soon.
