So, I know that this is not Cullen, but I would have looooved to see an armour like this on him in the game
By the very talented len-yan:
I'd like to have seen that on my IQs, actually.

Ugh, I wish there was good warrior armor. I am typically used to the mage and rogue armor sets, and I really like those. Since I am playing Orion for a bit, I am trying to find good armor that is flattering...that is near impossible. It seems that all the warrior armor sets make male humans look like they are either sumo wrestlers, flat-assed soldiers, or tiny. Does the warrior armor look good on females and does the warrior armor get better?

Well, it depends on what you want your warrior to look like. I think some of the warrior armor looks fantastic on Dalish and dwarven women, but that's partly because it adds bulk at the shoulders that I feel is seriously lacking for physically powerful female warriors (that's the main reason, aside from the color, that I detest the pajamas - that illusion vanishes for me.)
If you prefer the rogue armor, though, aren't there mats that remove the class restrictions? I think snoufleur is one (but I haven't tested this).

Sorry the quality isn't better. Zhenya's just barely made it to Haven, and I only have a couple of pics of her in something besides the prologue armor.
I think these make a huge difference in appearance, but I prefer my warriors to look like they have the upper body strength of a competitive swimmer, etc. If you want something really shape fitting, you'll probably want to try for rogue armor with the class restriction removed.
there is also this mod that removes class restriction on all armor www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/169/? I use it sometimes on some armors. sometimes I just want my mage to sport heavy armor and look ba like a battlemage

Boo for playing on the PS4... I would seriously die happy if all my characters could wear the Battlemage Armor.

Ah, well the armors look much better on smaller framed characters. The male human is pretty much built like a professional football star, so most of the time the shoulders clip with his face if you get armor that is aesthetically pleasing. I'll post some screenshots of Orion later, but...I'm hoping that I can find some Templar armor soon. I know that looks decent on a male human. Thank you for the advice and pics!

I really want to start using mods, but unfortunately, I don't know how
Whenever I download mods for Skyrim, I'm able to use the Nexus Mod Manager. But none of the lovely new DAI mods have that option; the user must "download manually."
Does anyone have a step-by-step guide (FOR DUMMIES!!!! lol) on how to do this?
I happen to be on the Storm Coast and have flycam on right now, so I'll look for darkspawn and snap some shots for you. Send you over PM, k?
(unfortunately it's not on Rhia's playthrough so I'll still owe you those pics of her
)
eta: holy sht instant regret on zooming into these things' faces. Serious nightmare fuel.
eta de la eta: well, if anyone else wants to creep themselves out, here're the screenshots.
It's funny since the first change to the darkspawn, I just don't find them that creepy looking. When I first saw one in DA2 I laughed.
I play too many horror games.... ![]()

Thanks, I'll definitely check it out! Video tuts are the best... I watched Gopher's to understand how to even begin my foray into modding.

Your welcome
Yeah when I first started modding sims and stuff I had to watch a few video's than after awhile I had started chatting to other modders and learned a lot from them. I must say they had to of had a lot of patience with me I must say as I'm the type that asks a lot of questions.
Personal piece by the talented len-yan. No one in particular according to the artist. However... flip the Canvas, and you pretty much got Cullen
So, yeah. In my head, that's Cullen
It's surprising how close it looks like him or could pass for him. Probably not muscular enough but wow!
I can confirm that both silverite and snofleur unlock restrictions on armors when crafting.
That "not Cullen" art - maybe that's where the devs got their inspiration from! Ha.

Oooh, I hadn't seen it with the crafted jammies underneath. Niiice!

This is my favorite warrior armor for females. Once I figured out that silverite removes class restrictions, I have like 10 different color combos of this armor for my mage. Like the shoulders on it! ![]()

Yeah those are this jammy mod. I really love how they look under the armor. I just wish I could find a version without the booby-window. It looks stunning from a distance but up close there are some outline-issues that become very noticeable.

*grumbles* Well, that will look great on my future female warrior, but poor Orion is stuck in some Orlesian armor that has massive shoulder...lions. It is rather comicol. Now, I just to find the Templar writing for that specialization and he should be able to become a Templar.
You know what I just realized, Melissa? Your character and my own are similar...they both have the same scar in the exact same place, they both have black hair, they both have the same hairstyle, and they both have rather high cheekbones...
