OMG. He is just so freakin hot. :fans self:

Nice to know I have more hotness in my future. My elven boyfriend still will barely talk to me. :crying: I'm tempted to skip Hissing Wastes altogether and just get to the Temple of Mythal already. (BUT! at least it's successfully fueling my Cullen x Lavellan x Solas fic for page 5000! LOL)

I won't even touch the Solas Romance not after the first time  'm looking forward to reading your 5k page Cullen x Lavellan x Solas fic. I still need to try to get my Lavellen's Backstory down and get it all into place. It's the getting it into the pieces and bits I want it to go I get all these ideas for stories and fics in my head its just the getting them down. I'm amazed they are still in my head the exact way I want them

I understand the "barely talk to me" part, sigh. I did not spread out the timing on the romance nearly enough for Solas. I'm assuming I don't get anything else until the dance after WE/WH, and I plan to do Abyss first.

You know, before the game came out, we were all worried that we wouldn't get as much interaction with the advisors as the companions, but I'm really feeling it the other way around. Once you get all the "tell me who you are and why you're here" stuff out of the way, you don't get a lot of interaction with most of the companions. It seems companion interactions are mostly banters that trigger when you are either starting a fight and can't hear them or trigger when you've stepped away from the computer for a moment and miss them. I'm really feeling that with companions like IB that I never take out with me, and honestly, I'm not going to bother gearing them up properly and figuring out their abilities just to hear some of their banters in person.

Yeah, I totally agree, and it *is* funny what we feared, particularly about Cullen. I still feel like he's the one character I get the most interaction from... for which I thank the devs, the Maker, the Creators, and any one else. :D

On the companions, I'll say it again, I still think there are too many with their content spread too thinly. I like them all, but it's just too tough. I keep forgetting about them this run instead of the last one, where I did a lap around Skyhold every time to talk to everyone. The advantage is... I still feel like I have plenty of content I've not seen yet. I just got the Bianca quest. I haven't done the Wicked Grace scene. But it's... tiring for so little.

And my boyfriend won't even tell me his stories of the Fade... I almost feel like I talked to him more when I wasn't romancing him... :sniff:sniff:

Yeah, I'm still on the Solasmance upswing, so I'm in positive space. I'm preparing, tho! :/

I have to respectfully disagree. Cassandra had a great story arch, fantastic cutscenes and in my opinion the best character development in the whole game. I could really feel that she and my Inquisitor became friends. The same is true for Sera and Varric. Granted, not all of the companions quest were a blast. Cassandra's first one was actually pretty boring. But the interaction you have with your companions and the one you have with your advisors always felt equal to me. Maybe because you can't talk any longer with your companions while you are on a quest...

When I was at Haven or Skyhold, I usually had a walk around and talked with everyone. And I can't say that the companions had less to say than the advisors. Actually, I had exhausted all of my dialogues equally fast. Guess that happens when you are the chatty type. LOL.

Edited to respond to R2:

Yeah, but I have to agree that the general content was a bit thin.

Personally after looking at all romances vid, Cass & Cullen are the two with most content. Solas got the least (but intense one...). So we're talking about two extremes here IMO.

What if they did a DLC where you play as Cassandra putting the Inquisition together and trying to find the HoF? Then we could also see her recruit Cullen.

If you are a rogue you can enable Throwing Blades, it's in the Artificer tree.

Well, I don't disagree on Cass, she's the one companion my Dalish S&S warrior has felt close to, and I love what they did with her. Varric, I'm OK with so far, but I know there's stuff I haven't seen. I actually have Sera with me constantly, and I haven't gotten much from her except the one quest where she was set up. But honestly, between the first hour or two of play after reaching Skyhold when you're running around finding everyone and now (50 hours later in game play), I don't feel like anyone except Cullen, Josephine, and Cass have had much to say, and I'm supposedly at a high enough approval rating with three of the companions to get the achievement. Now, I haven't done any of the main story quests since getting here; I wanted to do most of the Crestwood, Exalted Plains, and Western Approach first, so maybe they expected people to spread those main quests out more, I dunno.

* The Warden-Commander of Ferelden, it should be, as the Hero of Ferelden can be dead on just as many people's games.

In any case, it was Leliana who contacted the Warden-Commander and found all the Wardens in Ferelden missing, wasn't it? Cassandra went straight to Hawke, AFAI remember.

Keeping this related to Cullen... hmmmm. As much as I still want answers about what happened to him that's changed him so much, I don't know if I want them from official sources anymore. So much of new!Cullen was written with the express purpose of denouncing and rejecting old!Cullen that I don't know how much more I could take of being told I was wrong to love that character for who he was. I'm finding fanficcers are doing a more fulfilling job of reconciling new and old Cullen in less aggressive ways than the canon text nowadays.

Still, a comic or a novel set between Asunder and the end of DA2, showing more of Cassandra and Leliana's hunt for the Warden-Commander and the Champion prior to Inquisition, would indeed be pretty awesome. The dynamic between them as Left and Right hands was never fully explored, and it could make for a great story of growth for both characters, following the uncertain places they were left at by the end of Origins and Dawn of the Seeker.

There was a canceled expansion :( ? I thought BioWare wouldn't do expensions anymore and that this was already significant for DA 2.

There was indeed a canceled DA2 expansion that would have been an Exalted March.

You have to upload your picture first to Imgur or photobucket or to a similar service. Then you have to select the editor here and click on the 'picture' icon. Afterwards you have to enter the url of your uploaded picture.

Yeah they had already done some work on it when they canceled it to focus on DA3. The title was Exalted March and it would've featured Starkhaven and helped wrap up Hawke's story. Some of it was rolled into DA:I, presumably the Seb war table quests. It was a bittersweet day when they announced the decision.

With photobucket, you can just click on the img link and paste that into your BSN post.

Just FYI, Photobucket's default setting is "Public" image. So everything you put there can be used by anyone without your permission except for commercial purpose. I don't know whether we can change the setting to Private or not.

From the snippets I heard, that cancelled DLC would include at least one death of fans' favourite character(s) & end quite badly... So I'm not sure I want that :(

IIRC it was Patrick Weekes who said that the dev don't want to talk about it right now since well... the outcome won't allow DA:I to happen like the one we know.

I think that if that DLC happened there were... non negligible possibility that we might lose Cullen there.

yeah I agree. It could be risky. It's already... Odd that he was really in Kirkwall the whole time Cass was looking for Hawke. More easy hand waves would be disappointing.

One interesting thing I learned. So far, I thought it was only the templar in Haven who calls Cullen knight-captain for a pro-mage!Hawke import, but Maddox does, too. Booooy, I wish we'd hear the whole story of what happened in Kirkwall.

Maddox calls him that in a pro-templar Hawke import also; I think he just hasn't seen him since Meredith died.

I don't know if Weekes has said anything about it but one of Gaider's last tumblr posts was about how he doesn't ever intend to discuss it.

Where else would he have gone if he hadn't stayed in Kirkwall to take over after Meredith?  Also how long was Cass actually looking for Hawke?
