Well, this is a song that makes me want to dance! I think this song would fit rather well with the mages since most people in Thedas see them as "evil" and Templars are always being corrupted*which they turn onto the mages* This song is perfect for the relationship between my Cousland and Morrigan, let's just say Alistair has a lot to handle.

I doubt they're ready to start voice acting for ES6. Whatever that's going to be called. I'm hoping that it's a Bioware title, which (to me) means it would be Mass Effect. And I did read that and it had me wondering if Bioware uses the same voice direction regardless of title.
There is also ESO in the off-chance they are releasing a new expansion. ESO goes "buy 2 play" in a month, essentially turning it into Guild Wars 2. Jennifer Hale did have a small part in the prologue.

This is not Cullen, but therealmcgee had just made another beautiful piece of Alistair & I need to share it...

It's official. I'm her fan.
Yeah, if only she took commissions...
BTW...you guys know I'm a fan of Jensen Ackles...if he were to play any Bioware character...Alistair...totally...just look at that profile.

Lol, guys what is up with Carroll?! Did he have some gleaming moment in DA:O, because it seems that people really love the guy? I just found him to be a sarcastic ass...did I miss some dialogue or codex entry? Keep in mind I was playing a very persuasive*female* human noble.
For me it's the Queen of Antiva line. It's the first thing I think of when I first heard about him in DA:I
As for Ellis' new job, I hope it's ME4 because he would talk more in general as much as I love ESVI there aren't as many spoken lines. ![]()
Or could it be Fallout 4.

Can we, uh... not bring the mage/Templar thing here? Not only it's generally off-topic (and we're still trying to cut down on the OT, right?), this kind of commentary leads to arguments that never end well.

Was that line really that funny? Eh, I guess I don't feel the same way as some of you guys do. It's not that I hate the guy, I simply am indifferent.

Um sure. I wasn't really trying to bring that kind of thing in here, I was just saying what the song reminded me of and what it could fit with. *shrugs*

This! And I'd love if it if he were a Turian, but I doubt his accent would be Turian friendly ![]()

Yeah, GE voiced so many characters in Dragon Age and I think a few in Mass Effect(?). He truly is talented and whatever game he is aligning with next, is going to have a great voice for a character.

So...just playing through DAO again and it hit me...is the ash warrior captain at Ostagar Greg Ellis? I was chatting with him thinking, "Geez...what a sexy voice", then it started to sound a little like Cully, but I can't tell if I am making it up. Does anyone know?
Again, if you want to hear Greg Ellis all the way through a game, try playing Kingdoms of Amalur. He seriously voices like every NPC ever in that game. ![]()

I think Ackles is a hottie, but I don't think he has the aquiline nose that Alistair has, especially if you go by his Inquisition design. I keep thinking about who would play Cullen and I have to concede that Chris Pratt is probably as close as you can get. Hopefully though if they ever decide to do a feature film they keep it animated so we can keep the voices and yummy looks.
I'm playing Awakenings right now and I still can't get over how different Greg sounds as Anders.

I just finished Abyss, kept the wardens (taking major disapproval from my LI Solas, and Cole). No chance to discuss my choices when I get back to Skyhold, though?? That's weird, especially since I wanted to have a word or two with Solas about his strange silence when talking to the Divine/spirit and his annoying sigh when I chose to risk keeping the Wardens. Bleh.
I got his "Queen of Antiva" convo & cookies & surely funny.
Personally what I get from the whole story is that it adds to Cullen's character development. I headcanon that it's because of that "I could've been like him..."
Agreed! Liked Caroll my first play through cause had Sten and it was cute. Playing again with Leliana, he was pretty creepy...
Still the monstrosity he becomes in DAI...ick!
OK, that makes more sense. And yes, no one deserved what he got in DAI. I was just surprised at the love for him when his character left a really bad impression with me in DAO (I was a bit aggravated that I couldn't report him to Greagoir myself.) Not a side of him that Cullen would likely have been aware of, though.

O_O I LOVE that game and still very upset that the company that made that game...is, well, gone. I love the DLC for it too and while the characters weren't extremely well developed, I still enjoyed it.

Just to let everyone know here, I'm alive. Just been really busy. We almost had to put our house up for sale and some not so fun stuff, husband's work going on strike and stuff....Anyways, I will be working from home starting in march so hopefully that pans out. But figured some of you were probably wondering what was going on. So yeah, mini update of sorts.

I really don't want to speculate about his Circle days because since he was not meant to be significant character at that point I feel that the whole scene was done for laughs and not significance was put in it at that point.
I disagree that the scene was done for laughs - it could be funny, yes, but the point was to establish an extra level of connection between Cullen and the PC, to make him more likable, or at least more memorable ... so that when the cage scene came along, it would be even more of an emotional gut punch. BioWare really liked doing that to their female PCs back in Origins - Tamlen, Gorim, probably more I'm forgetting - because they were EVIL. *ahem* I mean, because they really wanted their players to get invested in everything that was going on, and to really feel about the people involved. The fact that we're still talking about Cullen all these games and pages later is a testament to how good they were at their jobs.

Guess that (personal headcannon ahoy!) why Cullen wants to find him is also based on "I want to save as many as I can, I could've been them". Then he thought of Caroll which he surely knows from Ferelden. There's not much Templars left after the Broken Circle, Caroll would have survive anycase. I can imagine the surviving Templars forming immediate bonds due to the distress they all experienced.
While in Crestwood we fought some Red Templars beside that lake, if Cole's with you he'll say something like "He knew Cullen once" & Varric told him not to repeat that at Skyhold. I think what hurts more to Cullen is that the fact he couldn't "save" the rest of the Templars.
Caroll, while being creepy, was actually not mentally healthy anymore in DA:O. True, I saw him always in his "best & funniest" light, which makes me find him quite a comic relief. But having this person Cullen once knew to be that abomination... well...

In that photo I would totally buy him as Cullen (aside from the blue eyes and the missing scar).
I would have like to see more reaction to a character Cullen knew becoming an abomination (but the game can't just be about him
). It really is heartbreaking and I feel a little sad when I do that quest.

Hmm I played a male Mahariel, and trust me, I was just as affected by what happened to dear sweet Tamlen as a player of a female Mahariel. Also I didn't find Cullen all that memorable in DAO. I never recollected him in non-mage origins, and when I did play a Surana, and yes it was male but I modded my save so Cullen saw me as female, just so I could try out the flirts, it was sort of half-comical and half-throw-away-character lol I mean you can't tell me his fast-walk away from the Warden after you hit on him isn't hilarious as fook ![]()
IMO it's only after playing DA2 that DAO!Cullen becomes fully informed as a character; DAO!Cullen's actions and personality only serve to make DA2 Cullen more interesting.

Well well, what have we here..
*snip massive hotness*
If she took commissions I would gladly spend a few $$$. Her style is exactly what I'm looking for.
And good lawdy there's a reason that man is #1 on my list. I'm happily well into Season 4 of Supernatural and enjoying every second. Dean is one of my favorite fictional characters ever. That whole classic rock, gearhead, "everything is a joke," scruffed-out thing? My kryptonite...

I think he totally has a powerful enough nose! ![]()
Last time I played Awakenings and heard Anders for the first time I couldn't help but grin like a Cheshire cat. I loved Anders in Awakening - hated the direction he went in DA2. I was never a huge fan of his DA2 VA.
So for my current playthrough I'm having a hard time deciding if I want to take my time with the "lull" in between Abyss and Wicked Hearts and work on completionist stuff and dragons...or should I speed-run just to get to sexy scene? ![]()
