You know I have noticed in some areas that some of the characters, feet sink into the floor and the first time I noticed it.  I didn't know what was going on. At first I was asking myself wait, did my character get taller or am I just imagining it, then I noticed that their feet had sunken into the floor during cut scenes or just standing idle

Nope. Nothing official. You can freely imagine how he got that though. I think most people headcanoned that he got the scar in Kirkwall after the events of DA2.

My guess: Kirkwall - after Hawke left and sometime during the three years he tried to restore order. Furthermore considering the location and the jagged markings, it was probably a demon's claw that swiped his face.

Bear with me here, because I've been sick for like, days but have managed to be surprisingly productive at playing Inquisition while having a 100 degree fever. ( ) Seriously, today I did all of the Western Approach, then Adamant, Perseverance, Caer Oswin, and then went to start up my romance with Cullen. I thought someone said you can ask him about his Templar vows up until the point you start your romance, but I lost that option somewhere and don't know when. I'm definitely not going back at this point, but I was curious when that option goes away.

I was able to ask him about his vows even after the first kiss, but his dialogue tree gets a bit convoluted sometimes. I believe between the usual Inquisition talk options, the Special option, the Templar-specific conversation tree and the rest of it,  at the point when I got to ask it, the vows flirt was buried under several layers of More -> I want to know more about you/ask you a personal question -> Tell me about Templar life -> About their vows.

 

It's nice that this option stays there, it gives options to roleplay characters differently. Ari was joking him about chastity vows like the day they met and jumping his bones the night they first kissed, but Rhia is a on much slower wavelenght and it only ocurred to her that sex may or may not be involved at some point once they were already in a relationship (and I'm still debating if their relationship should be sexual or not tbh), so it felt appropriate to ask him at that point for her. It's neat to get these whole different pacings to the same romance just by pushing dialogue back and forth a bit.

His writer said it was left deliberately vague, so everyone can imagine their own preferred scenario. Could be an abomination, could be a drunken bar brawl, could be a tragic shaving accident...

Huh, I've only done it twice now, but that's what I got with my not-romancing-him Lavellan this time. I wonder - could it depend on whether you've flirted with him? Did you flirt with him those other times?

Yes, you can ask him about his vows (flirt) till sexy time. That option should be under the 'I want to know more about your templar life' or sth like that. But then, his responses are the same before/after the romance starts so it isn't a big loss, I guess. 

 

And hope you get well soon. Try to drink more water and rest more.

And I just don't have that line. I'm positive I didn't choose it earlier because I was waiting to ask just before starting the relationship. I have the "Tell me more about yourself" bit that leads into asking him about his family and if he thinks the Templars should stick around, but otherwise just "Anything I should know?", "Tell me about your colleagues", and "That's all" or something. Weird.

It's gotten to the point that I actually have the timestamps of significant events in the romance memorized, since I've had to go hunting around for them in my canon playthrough so often. Seriously, BioWare, what were you thinking?

Hope everyone is well. Haven't been by as much as I want to. Had to get some actual work done over the last few days and stop procrastinating. Still working on my FanFic though. Almost at 10,000 words.  

 

DLC cannot come quick enough. I don't think I can manage an 8th playthrough without some new content.

I would guess the scar is from a claw of some sort too.  It really is a jagged (and fairly deep) scar and would have been a nasty injury.

My emerging headcanon is that perhaps this is the result of [what Iron Bull says about] Cullen's shield use. That he points it down too much (I can't remember the exact quote), and so got caught in his gorgeous mug.

I'm not terribly familiar with the console, but can't you move some of the save files to a flash drive or something to preserve? If not, I'm really REALLY glad I'm not playing on a console, I'd hate that sort of limit.

Oh? I don't remember he said it as a flaw, what I remember is that Bull said that he knows Curly's a templar because he angled his shield a bit down to avoid magical things spitting to his face like all Qunaris do when they fight the Vints.

 

I don't have the save anymore so if anyone can confirm?
