What complexion did you use? I tried to give Kael Lavellan freckles but I think I failed. I wanted Harding-level freckles, damn it.
Harding's freckles are in the CC. They're the third level of freckled complexion, if I'm not mistaken. The thing is that in the green lighting of the chargen, they make your IQ look like they have the pox - but in the game's normal lighting, they look pretty decent again.
Oh I think you're right. I actually used an image of him as inspiration pre-DAI as I was planning my inquisitor!

It was one of the really far ones in the original complexion sliders. I think my character's skin tone also somewhat brought out the freckles in a more subtle way.
IIRC someone tried to make Merrill, & did a very good job. I'll try to find the pic
I've also seen Anders, but no sign of Isabela or Sebastian 
(I could try to do it myself, but I'm pretty bad at recreating faces from DA2)

They gave us a HUGE companion return (Varric) & Hawke & nearly nothing on anyone else. What I'll give to see Seb or Fenris or Merrill or Isabela... Or ever lil' Carver or Bethany...

No, it's like... there are these progressive ranges of complexions. Very clean, less clean, spotty, lightly freckled, freckled, heavily freckled, slightly wrinkled, wrinkled and slightly worn out, straight up midle-aged, etc. I don't remember exactly in which position the Harding freckles are, but cycle through the complexions and you should come to a range of freckled complexions that go from slight to pox-ridden. What you want is pox skin. 
Trust, it looks a lot better in-game.

And I still say it would've been nothing to just include the LIs during the Hawke scenes. Even if it's just on the rooftop scene with Varric. Hawke and the LI have a brief spat about Hawke having to go and the LI having to stay or do something else. It would like just a couple lines from each LI VA.

Something I wouldn't want to see would be a confrontation between Dorian and Fenris Dorian would just be confused, I think, and perhaps try to explain himself and his people, but Fenris wouldn't be interested in an explanation. So much pain all around.
I definitely think Anders and Vivienne would NOT get along, but more interesting would be Anders and Cole. I wonder if Cole could talk to Justice... just a thought. Maybe try to talk him down a little. Cole's such a sweetheart.

I would have been sated even with a silent cameo, to be honest. I just wanted to see everyone in the new engine. I now know what my Hawkes look like in a less cartoony art style, but not their love interests, so it makes for some weird mental images when you try to reconcile both. (and also Zevran. still not over that.)
That banter between Varric and Cassandra where he says Hawke's lover will join them once they get Varric's letter whether Hawke likes it or not put this scene in my head like that ending to Advent Children, where you see Aerith and Zack waving goodbye to Cloud - instead of telling me over banter that Hawke's family will join them, show me a small cutscene where Hawke walks off into the sunset and joins two familiar figures off in the distance, waiting for her/him.
I picture my main Hawke joining a pair of smiling Sebastian and Bethany at the end of a road, or my alt Hawke joining a pair of brooding Fenris and Carver and ruffling their hair, and I'm so upset something like this is not in the game.

I think any of the DA2 companions are fair game for DLC except Anders. I kind of think Anders will be like Morrigan and not show up in this game but play a vital role in DA4, DA5, etc.

That would be extremally unfair for those of us who romanced Anders, lol! People got to be with Morrigan in a DLC, well, I better be able to get a scene between Hawke and Anders or I am calling bullshit. I am already calling bullshit at Bioware forcing our Hawkes to go to Weisshaupt even though that is something my Hawke would never do. *grumble grumble...rant*
