I thinks I like the idea of Hether Trevylan will fall in love with Samson, and she is a young mage coming to terms with her role as an inquisitor. I loves this idea that she ask Cullen to help and allows his wife and children to come to Skyhold.

You know, I've seen a lot of Samson in recent days... seems he's rising in popularity, lucky guy I now feel bad I didn't include him in my fic. And he even has a past with Cullen! I guess I never liked him from DA2... and I confess I always saved Alain (MY BABY). Which reminds me; I should write another Alain fic........

 

Anyone including Ser Barris in their fics? I kind of stuck him with Dorian... hope he doesn't mind  Tis off camera though.

 

Btw, when do we think we'll reach 5K? It's Mardi Gras here, so there are going to be huge chunks of time when I'm not available to post and it would suck if it happened while I'm gone

I'm dying to finish editing this thing already, because I have the Barris/Michel and Loghain-Hawke thingies I want to write next all outlined and waiting for their turn. This game is inspiring me to write in ways I haven't been in a long time.

 

It's carnaval here this weekend too, so hopefully it won't be today or tomorrow. If we miss it... well R2 should save a few spots for us.

I love the running gag they had with Cullen falling over and rising up each time more awkward bird than the last. I would've laughed even harder at this scene if this had stayed in the game.

Guess that every BW characters can be made the opposite. I've seen several example of Evil!Red-Templar!Cullen and Commander!Samson, or Hero!Loghain. That's what beautiful with BW characters.

Michel ... O_O I totally forgot about him. GDI There are a lot of hot warrior / knightly types in this game!!!! 

 

And that is true about someone saving me a spot; you just miss out on all the likes when that happens I've never had to have a spot saved before... I would be depressed if this were the first time! But I suppose it can't be helped... 5K will come when it comes!

I don't know, one of the other characters was just making an offhand comment about other couples and they just popped into my head Now I kind of really like it!

Hard to say since we've started to speed up a bit again. But I think Cerulione's is right, that we've got at least another week. 

 

On the saving spots, I can certainly do that as I always have placeholders for those who can't make it. [[ETA: Plus, you get double the exposure, because you just do a regular post after the fact, and then I add it in to Page 5000.]]

 

Since we're approaching it, why don't we sound off on who plans on contributing so I have a sense of who to wait/hold for? 

 

The names I had before, plus those off the top of my head:

Nah, from what I see in DA2 there's enough material to make him an interesting protagonist for my world state (probably AU). I'm writing it. Samson-Maddox-Cullen fic pre-DA2, possibly be continued to DA:I if I can work that on. Headcannon ahoy

 

In any case, Samson's a more interesting antagonist due to his DA2 appearance compared to Denam. Can't compared it to Calpernia tho, I haven't play Templar's PT passing Wicked Eyes.

I was simply stating my opinion that I think both Samson and Denmar should suffer the same fate if they were judged by the templars. That fate being something involving their heads, spikes and the walls of the White Spire (where I imagine the templars make their HQ after being saved at Therinfall).

I agree with that. I let them be judged by the peers that they harmed so grievously. As I'm not a Templar, it didn't feel appropriate for me to decide their fates.

Indeed. Let Denam try explain his actions in front of the men he betrayed. Let Samson try to justify himself and how he only wanted what was best for the templars and how he wanted them to die "at their best", let him look Barris and all the other knights that were at Therinfall in the eyes before he dies.

Hi all,

 

I know I never post but always follow this thread but I decided to come out of hiding and say thank you to all of you for the great discussions, pictures, links, advices, videos, inspiration and information I found here. There is so much I would not know if it weren't for you.

 

And thank you very much fontofnothing for the great texture! It is so much better than the original, I love it!

 

And Melissa, your screenshots are awesome - you are the reason why I now got radeonpro and sweetfx and it is really an improvement. But I think for flycam I am lacking the patience.

 

So I guess this is a dead horse topic (hope that is the correct phrase, sorry if it is wrong, I am german) but do you prefer to choose the mages over the templars too? I must admit the main reason for me to do this is because there are more Cullen scenes and I like some dialog better. If you go with the mages, Cullen is the one who will answer his own question about your escape by saying something like you will find a way somehow. But if you go with the templars, it is Dorian who says it. And the way Cullen says that it is a hopeless situation and they are going to die but at least they can decide how is different if you choose the templars and I like it better the other way. But on the other side I think choosing the templars would make more sense because they are experienced to fight demons.... so always a difficult decision for me.
