I think the combat is the main issue for me or even the controls. Graphics I can handle and stupid little bugs I can overlook, but my fingers are like. "THE HELL IS DIS?!"

I might try to make a female dwarf again, but the last one was so bad that I could not bring myself to posting anything of her.

I find that I can handle the combat more if I play a mage. And I'm going through and making different characters rn. I don't know if I want my Bull romance to be a qunari or dwarf. I want Blackwall's to be a dwarf. And I want to make a suave af guy for Josie, a hard a$$ for Cass, and a cutie pie for Dorian. Still need to make another elf playthrough for Solas too but I have to wait until he's unbugged ): It's just really hard to branch out to other people after having Cullen. He's so perfect...

Long time no see Cullen thread! Happy V-Day  <3

I see LOTS of new (to me at least) usernames, hello! And lots of hugs for all the familiar users that I do see scattered about  ;)

Where have you been, young lady? Do you have any idea what time it is?  :P

Really though, what the hell?

Ok, so I am doing another Cullen romance( on my brand spanking new super duper high settings capable pc, YAY!), this time with an Amell HOF ws. We just had some desk fun and afterwards I asked him about Amell.....I kinda wish I hadn't now lol because either it's bad writing/wording or my Inquisitor just rekindled his feelings for Amell. His words...'I may have had some youthful infatuation with her..(blah blah)...Feelings I had forsaken UNTIL recently.  Kinda fizzled the flames of our recent passion, sigh*

ok I listened again and heard it a different way...boy he is sooo lucky lol

I was wondering, I've heard that and it came across as something long in the past, lol.

lol When I first heard it it sounded like he'd just recently started thinking of her again affectionately, I was like nice way to kill the mood there.

Then I replayed it cause you know....curious minds. This time I heard he had forsaken the feelings of infatuation/affection but only recently felt them again because of the Inquisitor.

I found it a bit weird climbing down the ladder and speaking to Cullen as if last nights events did not happen. Its gives off the air of, "So how about them Cubbies?"

At least they could speak about their mattress...er desk mambo. Not expecting a Jim Carey conversation, just something tasteful.

I just felt like my character should have handed, Cullen a bill. :P

Inquisitor slides down ladder after night of passion, runs up to Cullen all smiles. His reply......'I was hoping you'd stop by'.   Ummmm

I blame it on Moe the Guard once more walking in uninvited.

True. LOL!

I may get rotten fruit flung at me for saying this but, I felt the bedroom scene was...well...flat. Oh sure, the head touching, (not that head) and the kiss was nice, but the rest? <Sighs>

Why do I always choose romances that end up with both parties with their clothes on or one if them?!?!

Yes, Inquisitor, you did your job, now try to escape before he wakes up..sh!t he is having a bad dream....uh...act all concerned that you were not trying to leave. :P

See I love that....I headcanon she would give him a soft kiss on the cheek, so as not to wake him but he wakes anyway and pulls her into an even longer kiss then she leaves an hour or two later ;) But then he has his nightmare and plans out the window lol.

Speaking of his nightmares, does anyone think he may stop having them or have them less now he has something good to focus on. I like to imagine him waking up one morning after a peaceful no nightmare sleep to look down and see the Inq snuggled into his chest and give a little smile.

I liked the scene, I was just annoyed with the neck. What is up with the long neck?! He looked alien.

I definitely think that their relationship calms him. Especially if she remains supportive. I doubt it stops the nightmares/headaches completely, but it helps I'm sure.

OK...I thought I was the only one who noticed it. I was like, "Uh....did Cullen's neck just get longer? WTF Did he do to my Inquisitor to stretch his neck out like that!"

Yeah, a mage I can handle...but I am on a PT where my character is using two swords as a duel-wielder. Bull's romance I find more interesting if the IQ is a Qunari mage, it adds that little bit of tension. I always find myself going back to Cullen and pouting since I know that I can't romance him in any current PTs.

So random thought based on the insane amounts of attention those last Cullen shots got in just a couple hours - I think I just gave the person who made the Red and Black Finery mod the best advertising ever.  :P

And should I be offended that my b/f put this on my fb for V-day???

I like her! Her eye color is a little unusual, but that just gives her a charismatic stare.

Usually her eyes are a nice orange-brown color, rather than blazing tangerine you see above. And it most certainly gives her quite the aura/stare.

It's that weird "how much time has passed?" thing in the game after cut scenes. After your first kiss, you can run right back into his office and say "That day you kissed me on the battlements, how long had you wanted to do that?" even though it seems like moments ago.  It's implied that there is some passage of time (a day? a half day? a week?) between conversations/woo breaks.

If Bioware would get out of the Middle Ages on some development stuff and implemented a day/night cycle certainly would eliminate this type of awkwardness.

To their defense, it would be much more involved for them to implement that type of feature. Though it would be amazing (I love it with other games), a lot more work would need to go into cutscenes due to lighting. The problem is that Bioware games use way more cutscenes than others.

I always use Lord of the Rings Online as a perfect example (you could also include Skyrim). The game has absolutely amazing day/night cycles along with full weather which ranges from sunny, cloudy, no clouds, partly cloudy, foggy, drizzle, rain, downpour, thunderstorm, snow, blizzard, etc etc. It's absolutely amazing and immersive. However, it's very difficult to implement something like this in a game that relies heavily on cutscenes.

Yes, if I had to choose with a Bioware game I'll take more cutscenes that look good over day/night/weather cycles.

I see your point.

However defending Bioware or EA for that matter is like trying to use Saran Wrap to protect yourself from a bullet.

If this was ten or fifteen years ago, I could see that, but this day an age game development has come along ways. Weather and Day/Night cycles are two different coding structures not one and the same

Can a game which uses cutscenes quite a bit implement a day and night cycle? Absolutely. It just depends on if the company is willing to do the work involved.

You or anyone else is probably thinking, "Well Bioware did do a lot of work on this game already." Yes and No. Yes to what work they put in, No to the fact they cut so much out of the game that WE the players got the bare bones of what it could have been. Why? Who the hell knows.

But I digress.  Getting back on track.

Skyrim took five years give or take in order to create the game. DAI took only three years. Thus this is why those cycles are implemented in Skyrim - more time and dedication from Todd and his team.

IF Bioware took steps in the direction Bethesda has taken over the years, DA could be much more then what it is.

It is not a matter of taking something over something else, its a matter of complacency and Bioware and EA are fully aware of this.

I for one would had something more in the signal player game, then this MP bs.

At any rate, I have said what is needed to say. I think its best we do not make this out into some back alley brawl simply because this is not the place for it.
