I'm playing a Dalish warrior romancing Alistair. So Ferelden's circle was my first introduction to Cullen in DA:O. I understand why he acts the way he does - it's a horrible thing to happen - I get why he's like that, and how that changes him, but yeah I was a bit shocked as that was my first meeting with him. I might replay as an Amell to see that other aspect of him, time allowing. And seeing as I've started 2nd PT of DA:I I'm appreciating everything he's saying more.

Shipping is personal taste though, isn't it? I tend to ship the less popular choices, so there's that. Part of me ships Cass/Varric, though the practical side of me says that's unlikely to ever come to the fore.

If you like Varric/Cass, then highly recommend "Inquisitive" by Laurelinde.  The V+C stuff she wrote had me rolling with laughter!!!!

To anwser your question, during Zevran quest in Da2, he does not even talk about the Warden and even sleeps with Isabella while in a roamnce with her or him.

Zevran's flag in DA2 is bugged right? So anything from that I'm not very sure... A good friend of mine killed Zev in DA:O and guess who's there in DA2...

 

IIRC there's also a letter from Romanced Zev in DA:I that shows that he's actually with the warden?

Not a letter from Zevran himself, but you get this snippet in the HoF's letter if Zevran was romanced (if the HoF is alive, of course):

You mean like Hawke left their LI behind to deal with Cory? Yeah...

 

Yeah, not exactly the best excuse in the world to leave your LI behind.  Especially ones that are trained fighters or have an interest in what the Warden or Hawke is doing. 

I understand why they did it but the reason is weak.  I try not to dwell on it.

Can someone please explain to me what AO3 is?

ArchiveOfOurOwn.org, which is far more forgiving of mature themes than ff.n, plus has a much more freeform and comprehensive tagging system, which has a number of pros and cons. It also has more bells and whistles in general than ff.n, allowing embedded images, collections, gifts. Overall, ff.n still has higher readership, but AO3 has significantly grown within the DA fandom.

If you use it, there's a collection for the Cullen thread celebrations you can add your fic to, which I linked this afternoon.

You can sign up on your own, but it'll take forever to get an account. So I also have invites, as I mentioned in my Page 5k Update earlier.

All I have to say is, I don't see Cullen with Cassandra because he is either my inquisitor boyfriend or my Amell's that get dumped by Alastiar because she refuses the being his mistress.

 

Actually I have a question for the other Alistair romancers here. Has anyone reconsidered their "canon" choice in regards to what happens to Alistair? I don't know if I have to put spoiler tags around this or not but just in case

Making him king was such a big disappointment to me in DAI, because he shows up for 2 seconds and that was it. I should have picked a warden Alistair import first but how was I to know. So then I went ahead with a warden import on my second playthrough and NOW I find out a Warden Alistair doesn't even mention the HoF at all if she did the Ultimate Sacrifice. My canon import was a Warden who died and was in love with Alistair so I admit I'm a bit annoyed there is zero mention of her, even if you choose Alistair to stay behind in the fade. I mean was expecting an emotional line before he ran towards the big spider
