I've been wondering. What would Cullen think, do you think, about a Lavellan Inquisitor acting as a sort of Keeper to the Inquisition's elves? Telling them about the Dalish and their beliefs, and giving those who were interested a chance to convert and be ministered to?
Don't think he would think much of it. He's just as respectful and supporting of a Dalish Inquisitor as of a human/dwarf/qunari one who openly proclaims they don't believe in the Maker, and he never tries to convert anyone to Andrastianism or anything (none of the super Andrastian characters do, really). If Dalishquiz wanted to spread some of the culture of the Dalish (I wouldn't even say "convert" as it's not really a religion) and even invite them to meet with Dalish clans to see for themselves, I don't think Cullen would care much either way. He's pretty live and let live these days.
Ooo, that's some good dialogue. But, why would Hawke be going to Weisshaupt?
Hawke goes to Weisshaupt for the same reason as the sacrificed Warden would, to report to the First Warden on what happened to the Wardens of Orlais, to warn them of what's going on in case something like that reaches the rest of the Wardens across Thedas, etc. Since this whole thing is largely her fault for her part in awakening Coryphilis, she's taking it upon herself to see it through. Of course neither Hawke nor Stroud/Loghain/Alistair seem to be aware that Weisshaupt is already going through ~stuff~ as per Last Flight, so that explains why they all disappear into Weisshaupt and all communication is lost etc.
I like that extra bit of context from Varric and Cass' banter, because if my Hawke is going to disappear into Weisshaupt and get caught up in Warden mess again, at least I can rest somewhat reassured that she's not completely alone there, one Hawke against the world. If Sebastian, Bethany et al are going after her, whatever happens to my girl, at least I'll know she had the fam with her.
