I've heard the PC controls aren't brilliant for this game. As far as my experience goes, it works well on the PS4 controls.

And my English isn't so good so there might be a communication problem, too. Aaaand there is a time difference. But besides that, it could be quite funny. So, let's see if we manage to play a little bit together in the future .

Why can't he handle it? Too easy, too difficult or because of the controls? I switched to "hard" difficulty for my second play through and find it more enjoyable than "normal".

I don't mind that much if my PC and her LI aren't together at the moment like Hawke and her/his LI because I can always imagine that they will be together later. Of course if something bad happens such as one of them will die and I can't do anything about it or that there isn't any hope for reunion then I'm going to be quite frustrated.

When my Hawke romanced Fenris and she survived from Adamant then when my Inquisitor talks to Varric he is quite sad that he has to write a letter to Fenris and tell him what has happened. It felt quite weird because should he be happy that he can tell Fenris that Hawke is going to Weisshaupt and she is alive? Well maybe that is a bug or something. I don't know. I just hope that Fenris can go to Weisshaupt or that Hawke can leave from there alive and Fenris doesn't die so they can finally be together. I guess I'm just getting tired of plots which involves that something bad will happen to LIs or your PCs which means that the romance will end and you can't do anything about it.

Don't know if you've heard it in your game, but that banter I posted about Sebastian? Varric says the same about the other love interests too. I've got versions of "Fenris will join her" and "Isabela will join her" in my own games, and saw this version for Merril (featuring Carver):



The only one I haven't heard anything about is Anders. He might have the same banter too, but I haven't seen it.

Anyway, point is, Fenris follows Hawke too as per Varric's banter. So your Hawke is not alone in Weisshaupt; whatever happens to them, at least he'll be there with her.

I may be on for a little while around 3 or 4 CST. Can't stay too long because I've got work I need to get done, lol.

Hmm that is interesting. However, I am going to be getting Season 4 of GOT on blu-ray tomorrow and I'm still hunting for a collectors edition of Witcher 3 on PS4; so I must wait for DAI.

If it's the controls and the fact that tac cam is basically meaningless, then yeah. They definitely take some getting used to. I'd give it another shot and play longer than 10 minutes though, maybe remap some keys, but I'm not your boyfriend.

Yeah, I played with the keyboard/mouse for all of 1hr til I said NOPE and have been using the supported wireless 360 controller ever since.

He said it's clunky and boring. He said the thing he hates most is that most of the time you're sitting there on auto-attack. He said combat plays like an MMO (which it does), but it doesn't have enough executable skills like an MMO has. I dunno. I don't mind it.

Nope, it's in the sliders toward the end. I think about 3/4 of the way to the right.

Yep, I did. He loves the Mass Effect series. He just can't get into DA, no matter how much I hound him and drive him nuts about it. He seems to like the 3rd person shooter style more.

 

I was kinda hoping we could do MP together...I miss having a game we can play together. Oh well...

I save the first chance I get and it always is about the 20 minute mark, so it takes me at least that long to get off the character creator!

 

And I'd tell him to stick with it, because unless he ran through the prologue like Speedy Gonzales, there's only two abilities he'd have been able to use in the first ten minutes of the game, so of course the combat would have been mostly auto-attack while waiting for the cooldowns to refresh? I'd show him the combat from later in the game, once there are more abilities under your belt to mess around with?

 

But I can see why as a FPS fan, he might not be able to get into that kind of gaming. Playing ME for even a while makes me sometimes take a while to get back into the saddle when I go back to RPGs and MMORPGs? And sometimes I wish that we didn't have auto-aim on Dragon Age (or could turn it off) just so we could get the challenge of knowing that it was us and not the computer that sniped an enemy with a spell or arrow to the face?

For sh!ts and giggles, I decided to play a different character to romance Cullen.

 

Appreciate the honesty in how she looks. Dunno something seems, off to me-unbalanced. Not to mention I cannot seem to get her eye color to "reflect" right. If you understand my meaning.

He hasn't played Mass Effect so now I'm trying to get him to start that - he really likes Ass Creed and Far Cry, but he also loves sci fi so I think he'll dig it.  He just doesn't have much time to play games like I do, although he does like to watch me (heh heh).

I tried convincing my fiancé to play DA:I as he's into ME but he's watched me playing it and says he doesn't think it's his thing... personally I think it's right up his street but he's worried about getting sucked in like me, haha.

Best description I have seen of the series Reddit blew up when the movie with Michael Fassbender was announced... Everyone making remarks about frame rate limitations, and scenes that would be made available if you only spent $4.99 more...

There was another comic somewhere about Dorian and the Quizzy talking about Cullen, and Dorian went like: "I'd bang that man like a door in a hurricane." To which the Quizzy replies: "Me too." And then they fist-bump That has to be my favourite DA:I-related comic

@Teshayel Fassbender will be hot as all get out assassinating people. Ass Creed is fun to play but all of the games are the same.  The best one by far is the pirate one, I loved sailing the ship around and the sea shanties.  Far Cry is the same deal - fun but once you've played one you've pretty much played them all.
