And slightly OT, since tomorrow is the last day for the Raptr promotional mount, can anyone tell me if it's worth getting? The mount looks awesome, but I'm not really a fan of signing up and ending up on the mailing-list of things I'd never use? Plus aside from having it for completionist's sake, I rarely ever use the mounts in-game? Still, whenever I see any kind of DLC, I turn into Gollum and immediately start muttering about how me wants it, precious?

 

I have the Raptr mount, and I really like the looks of it. It's the one I end up using the most, as it looks armored enough to be a battlemount, without being ridiculously over the top like the Deluxe one. And since they're even the same color, I headcanon that the Raptr mount is the same Fereldan horse as Master Dennet gives you, only armored for combat after you become Inquisitor.

 

I also like the Amulet of Martial Determination it gives you, I tend to equip it on Cassandra as soon as we get to Haven and leave it on her for the rest of the game.

 

Other than that, Raptr is a reputable tool (I use it for my screenshots and videos) so it won't give you spyware or anything, and you can opt out of the mailing list at sign up, or later at any time. If there's still time to get the DLC from there, I'd def. go for it.

Okay y'all lol I did actually figure out how to remove the cover on my computer. I sort of ... blew gently around the CPU fan >.> I've turned the PC back on, but no more DAMP tonight for me, I think. Maybe computer was just overheated b/c I did not have these problems earlier in the day when trying to connect with y'all.

 

Will try to DAMP again tomorrow

 

I'm up for it tomorrow.  I haven't tried DAMP yet.  I may have to remove my mods first, though?  I don't want to get banhammered before I even start

Yes, you just have to grab the "merged" folder you created and drop it somewhere (I just dropped it on my desktop) while playing MP. Then when you're ready to play SP again, replace the merged folder.

 

Tested this and everything worked perfectly, before and after.

I may be able to play some again tomorrow, if I make myself really focus on some stuff. Definitely remove mods, it made a huge difference for the two people who were using them.

It really depends on your location as not all ISP's offer service everywhere. I have Comcast (30mbps) and am very happy with it. It has to be stable and dependable since I work from home. There is also no monthly data cap. It's on the pricey side though. Without bundling it's $70/mo.

*sniffle* You leave out the one guy I actually find super hot -- Blackwall Oh, and Sebastian. He's pretty smokin, too.

 

In other news -- Dorian-sans-mustache finally showed up in my game, and he's pretty cute! I highly recommend the mod if you weren't a fan of original-stache-Dorian. 

 

Also, that music for In Hushed Whispers... it just breaks my heart. Finding the young elven apostate murmuring "Praise to Andraste" over and over again actually made me tear up, perhaps because he was the last Redcliffe NPC I spoke to before starting the level. 

 

So, having played this one twice, and the templar version once, I have to say that so far this one is my favorite. This one just gets me emotionally, which is usually what I'm looking for in a BW game.

Eh, I played a semi-tanky 2HW for my second PT and only died like twice the entire run on Hard (and exclusively from Fade Rifts I stumbled onto when I had no business messing with them yet). Might just be because I play warriors/rangers in everything but Dragon Age and am more used to them than mages, but still, I think you'll find yourself with more teeth left than you expected. Getting guard without special gear is a beautiful thing.

 

EDIT: Rereading this, it sounds like a dick-measuring thing--all I meant is that for all the BSN's harping about Knight-Enchanter God Mode, I found the game easier as a 2H Vanguard/Reaver (or possibly equally easy, I guess, if learning curve for the first playthrough was a major factor).

Normally I play range attackers, never been an upfront fighter, However, figured I give it a go.
