Yep, if a person knows what they're doing to data-mine through the files. People data-mined the DA: Origins CC demo too, and I remember that it had some spoilers from the game.

Does anyone know how old Cullen's character is? Because since Origins, the sense I got from him was late teens to early twenties. I'm just asking 'cause that could be a really interesting facet to his character, possibly being not yet 30 and going through what he has. 

 

I mean it might not mean anything but, being a military advisor with that kind of experience, knowing that sacrifices sometimes must be made for the greater good but also knowing that the ends justify the means can end up being an excuse for tyranny..... And I think I just became a fan    or at least very intrigued, I'll wait and see what he's like in game before I truly declare myself a #Cullenite. But for now I'm definitely #intrigued .

 

I'd like this if I weren't out.

As for Cullen's age: general consensus is on the theory that he was in his young 20s in DAO so he would be in his mid 30s at the end of DA2. Depending how much time has passed since Hawke's story ended would determine how old he is now. Though I can't see how much time has passed, really since the events of DA2 are supposed to heavily influence what's going on in DA:I.

 

You've touched on a couple of the things I find intriguing about Cullen: His sense of duty and his strong will. For one so young to go through what he did and remain standing is a very intriguing facet of him. That he does so without losing himself entirely to blind hate and then to return more to his previous morals is no small thing. He definitely has a sense of "doing what must be done" but he doesn't invoke it for convenience. And he objects to it when others do. He's willing to make hard choices, even when it would be easier (and supposedly "safer") to shirk his duty. So you're not alone in seeing his potential.

 

As for being a fan... you don't have to be a Cullenite to appreciate his story, I think. You don't even have to be a fan to come in here and discuss him if you wish! It's always nice to have more perspectives and differing opinions in here. The more the merrier!

All the types of personalities I'm actually into are non-romanaceble characters so far. Sten, Varric, Loghain... Snarky Hawk... 

Funnily,Sten was the only character I managed to get in 100% approval in my first playthrough,and I didn't know how romances work in Bioware games at the time, so I was rather confused that I couldn't romance him.

Ah, and now I know what triggered that headache...   Seriously, that's a great analysis.  Looking at it, it could very well be the case.  As with a lot of things in that war room shot, I need to see a good deal more before I pass any real judgments.

Actually, when our posts get wildly off topic, I always keep an eye on which devs or mods are online, and I always double check where they are looking. That's when I always try to steer it back on topic. I have seen Sheryl, David, and Allan pop in every now and then. So yes, they do watch us.

  

Well considering that a dev was in our thread when talk of Chantry bikinis were being discussed and she joined in, I don't think we have much to worry about.

But still something for us to be cognizant of. If you look at the BW posts in the other character threads, many of them are Allan telling people he's deleting off topic posts. They might have just thrown their hands up at us, but we still don't know where the line in the BSN sand is.

I was thinking about Cullen's jawline and general seemingly lack of chiseledness. (Yes, I'm obsessed. It's up there with the time I thought they'd given him mutton chops in the survey leak!) 

 

Looking at this logically I'm sure he probably does have chiseled features much like "Dorian" and the others. I mean, literally ALL of the men in that picture have chiseled features. Hell, Solas looks like he's been carved from marble! The only two you can't tell is Cole and Cullen due to the shadows covering parts of their face. I do, however, think the biggest problem is his seemingly thin top lip, which is something Cole appears to be suffering from to.

 

At the moment Cole actually looks like a younger version of Cullen's model, lol.

Your analysis was so thorough and spot on I thought maybe you'd spent a couple days giving that pic the once over!   I'd be in big trouble if I always had to pay in advance like that!

Very true. I was speaking more of our... raunchier topics regarding Cullen. They may leave us be because we always bring it back to Cullen. And if we go off topic, it's usually something worth discussing. Maybe? I was more concerned with the idea that we would be shut down for being too... libidinous.

Argh, ME2 was the worst for this! The whole space walk in the Normandy, the bit with Miranda and the Illusive Man and then to top it off, the "We can rebuild him" scene that took about an hour and was UNSKIPPABLE! Hopefully there'll also be a mirror when it's just tweakage you want to do.

oh.. well thats kind of a bummer... whish they only had files that contain only character stuff like  models for hair and stuff like that instead of story content and such
