Yeah as I understand it there are only three romance scenes with Solas!

 

I have a Blackwall and Dorian romance both running alongside my Solas-mance. Cass-mance will also happen soon, though I kind of want to wait for hair mods for that one.

 

*buffs fingers and smirks* I like to think I'm skilled at making fine looking males and females alike although probably just in my eyes xD

 

 

I can't wait to romance Cass. I just need to figure out what inquisitor to make for her. I'm surprised at how much I like Cassandra in this game, I never liked her in DA2 and I though she'd be the kind of character I just leave at Skyhold. Now she's best friends with my inquisitor in most playthroughs.

Same. Although I didn't dislike her at all in DA2, I felt she was over-marketed for DAI. I was sick of her by the time the game launched lol But then the game DID launch, and... she's wonderful. One of the few characters I genuinely connected to on my first playthrough.

 

EDIT: Oh, and as a funny aside, my sister and brother-in-law showed up during the "closing of the Breach" scene, and my sister, who has no interest in gaming, just commented, "Cute hair" upon seeing Cassandra lol She sat quietly through the scene, too, which I guess speaks a lot for BioWare's narrative abilities.

 

EDIT: Oh and also, I pointed out to my brother-in-law excitedly, "That's me!" to my elf Kael Lavellan, and he just smirked and said, "Of course." (Cause I may have a reputation for elf-loving xD)

 

I have to be honest, now that I'm excited about the game and the romances again, I *AM* feeling more of a connection to the narrative and the characters. But that might also have something to do with replaying it several times now.

 

I wish I had the fortitude to space out my playthroughs; I'm skipping dialogue now because I *just* heard it a day ago on another playthrough.

GAH! Is anyone else having trouble with BSN? It is taking awhile for it to load for me and everything seem to be really slow...I don't think it's my computer since I can use other websites like normal.

Yes, I had trouble earlier but now everything works fine. Almost 5000 pages of our Cullen thread must slow the thing down .

Tbh, I hadn't noticed any problems. The forums work fine for me.

I seriously love him in all his incarnations, which each have their pros. I think DA2!Cullen will continue to be my fave, tho, since he's the one I first fell in love with.

Is this a good time to relate my DAI dreams? Sadly non-Cullen related

First dream: I was my inquisitor, Auren, and I was dating Worf from Star Trek LOL No I am not kidding. Well I was still "me" even if I looked like Auren. I think I was bi-gendered or something. Anyway, the important thing is that Worf is really hot. In and out of the uniform. And I'll stop there.

 

Second dream: I dreamed I was myself-as-Auren again, only this time I was alone, but I was competing with some others to adopt a child. (My sister just had a baby; probably why I dreamed this lol) The people holding the competition were Leliana and Josephine o.O These were like deadly skill competitions LOL I guess if Leliana stood between you and adopting a baby, it would be something like this. Anyway, I failed It was a sad dream.

I find the other romances unapealing.

 

Solas: Uh No. Too damn depressing. I had enough depressing relationships in RL don't need one in game. Not to mention the lack of content.

 

Blackwall: IF I could I would post a picture of my father. Blackwall looks like my Dad when he was in his 40s. Shave off a little weight and they could be twins-almost. So the idea of romancing my "father" in game.-Uh no. Not to mention the whole "Sex in the barn" is just disgusting.

 

Ironbull: No and No. Too much like Isabella, I'd like my character to remain disease free-thank you. Not to mention I don't find him attractive at all.

 

As for the rest, just no. Sera is tolerable as friend. Cassandra I have no interest in playing a male, thus Dorian is out too. Josephine is nice and a good friend, making it more then friendship would just be total boredom.

 

So I am sticking with Cullen. Honestly if Cullen was not a romance option, my character would probably be romancing no one or I would not be playing this game at all.

 

Its no the lack of romance options in this game, its the lack my interest in the other options.

Honestly, I have so many DAO mods that I've lost track of what's vanilla and what's not, but I don't think I use any that alter his appearance. That screencap is from the mini-romance mod, though.

 

Cullen and Aveline were the only characters in DAII I had any real desire to romance. Couldn't get the one, but finally got the other!
