On the other hand... looking back through the shots I have saved... when he apologizes to the IQ about his lyrium outburst he says, "I should not have pushed myself so far that day." Pushed himself in what way?? I had figured it was just he worked too hard, didn't sleep enough and that combined with withdrawal was too much. But! What if it meant he was gradually coming off and he pushed himself that day by skipping it altogether...?
I don't think so. But it's possible. Maybe.
I took it to mean he was working too hard on a particularly bad day withdrawal -wise, where he should have rested more. I dunno. To me "I no longer take it" means you don't take it at all.

I know, I'm glad he grew out of that, I was just speaking hypothetically.
I don't think my Amell would because she has been through a lot. I had her romance Alistair and he made the Ultimate Sacrifice.
Also, Cullen moved on with my Trevelyan, but my Amell would forgive him for what he said at the Circle Tower.
One of my mages is still with Leliana. The other was Alistair's mistress, but they haven't made it clear whether or not they're still together or not, and I've had mixed feelings about leaving a mage as mistress to a king anyway (too much risk of being accused of influencing him through blood magic.) If not, I'd rather imagine them splitting right after the Landsmeet, honestly. And she's the kind hearted one who'd find DAI Cullen completely charming. But she isn't the WS for the 3 of my 4 IQs who are not/will not be romancing Cullen.

I hope you read "Sexuality in Thedas."
It still makes me laugh. Cause it was in a long, long post a while back. David made the joke about the above book title. And now its in the game. Too Delightful.
Oh, yes, I was reading that one a couple of weeks ago. Too funny.

Well, I took what the IQ says about the Inquisition surviving if he takes an hour for himself to suggest he just overstrained himself. But I assumed initially he weaned off somewhat gradually but had been completely quit for a while. Some drugs take time to work out of your system entirely.

Yeah, I don't have the dialogue in front of me, but this is how I interpreted these facts as well. He's not on it now, and he's been off it for months. So it doesn't sound very gradual to me. But who knows what the first month was like, I suppose.
I'd imagine that it could go one of two ways. It could either start off terrible and slowly diminsh, or it could have been starting small, but the longer he progressed without it, the worse the withdrawal symptoms.

No worries. I'm a lev 19 rogue. Anyway... I'll just deal with what I have. I just... I have so few of some things that I don't want to waste them on armor I'll end up ditching later anyway. What if I want to craft something better later and I'm out of whatever? What if that's the only fade-touched blahblah I'll ever run into? Bah. Too much thinking. This is why I don't craft and instead just buy off the rack.Sorry R2, got side-tracked.

I can't bring myself to romance Leliana because I hit a bug with my female Cousland after announcing she'll be Alistair's queen. Leliana, for some reason, was heartbroken over it. Then she confessed her feelings for my Cousland, so I let her down easy by saying they should just be friends because there's someone else. Two conversations later, she accuses my Cousland of leading her on/cheating on her with Alistair. What? XD
I'm in my fourth playthrough and I romanced Cullen most of the timel I can't help it! ![]()

Well this is my recommendation.
For Fade-Touched, I use Obsidian (+3 Guard when hit) Since Rogues can be squishy and The Silverite Fade-Touch is a b!tch to get.
As for the leathers:
Dragon
Lurker Scales
Gurn Hide
Wyvern Scales
Snowfluer
Most can be found in The Hissing Wastes. The Snows are found in Emprise Lion on the Frozen River and in Exalted Plains, near the water.
Metal wise, that is up to you.
I normally go Dragon Bone and Dragon Scales if Cheat Engine is up and running. And fill the blanks in with Snowfluer, Lurker Scales, Gurn Hide.

I guess that armor tinting will come in handy for players like me.

*shakes fist* damn you, consumables!!

That is why you use T3 materials as I listed above.
If you craft the armor to the specification of T3 and maybe T4 the chances of you needing to recraft are very small.

fade touched obsidian can give +3 I think. A couple of those can have a couple of different results too.

I think they've realized their folly by now - in DA:I there are practically big flashing letters across the screen now warning you of a romance. Except for maybe Solas? I seem to remember that reading that if you kiss him in the fade you're locked in, and you don't get a warning.

Most Fade-Touched do have at least two diffrent stats.
For Obsidian:
+3 Guard on Hit
or
10% chance to cast Lighting Strike.
You can get freebie(s) Fade-Obsidian.
1 is behind the locked-doors in Redcliff (Need Deft Hand/Fine Tools to unlock)
Or
On a boat in a sack behind the Dragon in The Hinterlands. (you'll need a mage to fix the bridge).

Fade-Touched Silverite: +5 Guard on Hit

I guess it comes down to how much time passed between Cassandra asking Cullen to join the Inquisition and the conversation which kicks off "Perseverance"; the game is extremely vague on that point, but I've generally come down on the side of 4-6 months, which allows 2-3 months for a gradual reduction in dosage followed by 2-3 months of being completely clean. Works for my headcanon, at least.

It was way too easy to accidentally trigger a romance with Leliana, Alistair or Zevran, honestly. I used to check affection after every conversation and reload if I needed to, lol. Though there was a bizarre bug with Leliana when you can get the heartbroken conversation without ever having her affection show as "interested" or "love." I really enjoyed my intentional Leliana romances, though DAO Leliana was a bit sweet for my tastes.
Eh, I love the Cullen romance, but my favorite race is dwarf, followed by qunari; I only played Dalish to get a PT with each with Cullen and Solas. I don't know if I'll have a second Cullen romance unless the modders manage to remove the race gating. I don't currently plan on a human PT at all.

Not exactly. There isn't a clear warning for some reason, but you can immediately break it off with no problems with other romances by going to talk to him after the fade kiss (my last fanfic chapter was based exactly on ending it immediately after in fact.) Then after you help him with his personal quest, you have another talk with him, and that kiss, if you don't break up then, locks you until almost the end of the game. I think you can still break up with him before the third kiss (haven't gotten to it myself), but after that, you're rather tragically locked in.
