I hope you read "Sexuality in Thedas."
It still makes me laugh. Cause it was in a long, long post a while back. David made the joke about the above book title. And now its in the game. Too Delightful.
LOL. I have to read this now. I usually skim most codex entries and only read the ones who really feel important to the story.
On the other hand... looking back through the shots I have saved... when he apologizes to the IQ about his lyrium outburst he says, "I should not have pushed myself so far that day." Pushed himself in what way?? I had figured it was just he worked too hard, didn't sleep enough and that combined with withdrawal was too much. But! What if it meant he was gradually coming off and he pushed himself that day by skipping it altogether...?
I don't think so. But it's possible. Maybe.
In my headcanon he was overworked and demanded too much of himself. Cullen seems to be a workoholic. I always figured that next to the special templar abilities lyrium also helps you to stay awake and focused, maybe similar to cocaine in real life. So, even though Cullen no longer takes it, he still wants to work the same amount of hours. He wants to give 150 % to the inquisition, except now his body can't handle it. I'm on the same page.
I think they've realized their folly by now - in DA:I there are practically big flashing letters across the screen now warning you of a romance. Except for maybe Solas? I seem to remember that reading that if you kiss him in the fade you're locked in, and you don't get a warning.
This is more of a general reply and not directly aimed at you, Thane4Ever.
While I can see why the big letters are helpful for some players, they are really such an immersion breaker for me personally. It was like: 'If you want to start a romance now, then click here. Do not pass go.' Really? In that second the game took me completely out of the moment because my romance became part of my interface, so to speak. *Big sigh* The DAO way worked so much better for me and I never had the problem that I accidentally triggered a romance. But I understand why the notification works better for the majority of players.
Greetings, all!
Just popped in after reading Mr. Ellis' tweet regarding Cullenites' donation to Stomp Out Bullying.
Those who know me know that I am a cynic by nature. For too long I've seen the hard-working, the selfless, the 'good guys' get trampled on by those who lie, cheat, steal and play the system without an iota of remorse. It gets to the point where I ask "What's the point of being good?"
And then I see something like this.
Simply put, you guys and gals are nothing short of amazing.
So to those who came up with the idea and/or those who donated, thank you for showing this cynical old coot that there is a point to being good.
Thanks MageTarot. I've read his tweet, too, and love the people who did this for it. However, I'm not entirely sure if it was someone from this thread. At least I don't recall that we discussed it in here and the Cullenites are spread all over the different social media platforms. Anyway, reading about the donation really made me smile.
Alright guys, who's on twitter? I made a whole new set of social media account (skype, mail, etc) for gaming purpose to separate from my RL accounts
Might as well go for twitter (finally, I'll try to stick with this thing)
Any advice/Twitter for Dummies/Twitter 101?
My twitter handle is BW_Caja but the main reason I made a twitter account was to follow BioWare devs. So I'm afraid I don't tweet often and my tweets are rather lame. LOL. Also, I second what Asperath said: Take everything with a grain of salt.
