Alright guys, who's on twitter? I made a whole new set of social media account (skype, mail, etc) for gaming purpose to separate from my RL accounts
Might as well go for twitter (finally, I'll try to stick with this thing)
The only social media I post on (aside from screenshots on Tumblr) is Facebook, but that has no gaming stuff on it. I don't understand the point of Twitter, and perhaps I never will. ![]()
Wow that's beautiful! Rhiannon's the best looking one among your quizzies
Thank you! I can't wait to create my Reaver...I think she will be just as stunning!
That's awesome! She's really pretty.
Thanks!
I haven't played as a dwarf or quanari yet and not sure that I will because the romances are a bit more limited. And plus being an elf provides oodles more story dialogue. What about them did you like?
*snip*
I honestly didn't notice any more extra dialogue with an elf than with a human.
Partly it goes back to DAO - the dwarven origins were two of my three favorites (my favorite was city elf, but that's not an option in DAI.) The Dalish in DAO didn't really impress me, especially once I played a city elf warden and I found out how they treated her. The two groups of elves are very different; I'd have loved a city elf IQ, but I assume Solas was the reason they wanted all elven IQs to be Dalish. I could far more easily see a city elf in a romance with Cullen than a Dalish - a Dalish essentially gives up being Dalish if she wants to stay with him. And I like playing PCs who take me completely outside my own life and experience (it's why I like fantasy games) so I rarely ever play a human in a fantasy game unless I find something particularly interesting about them (there are hundreds of non-fantasy games where I can play humans). To me, the Trevelyan background is just rather generic human noble (lots of scope for headcannoning background, but no more so than for the others.)

I know it's a matter of personal opinion, but I believe playing any race (including human) takes me out of my own life and experience. I haven't played a human PC yet (in any game) that is who I am or could be irl. The fact that it is a fantasy game is what brings it outside the realm of real-life experience. If they had an "enter generic middle-class pc here" origin story for the human race, then I'd say yeah that's boring. But, I have no idea what it's like to be a noble, so that's definitely outside my own realm of experience. I prefer playing humans, for the most part, because they are the most appealing to me visually.
