I am honestly enjoying reading about you playing through the romance sequences for the first time almost more than I enjoyed playing through them myself.

Well, there's something great about enthousiasm. It spreads. I mean, I prefer read people who's like "OMG I GOT THIS AND THIS AND MEET THAT IT'S AWESOME!!!" rather than "everything sucks. I hate everything. Let's just destroy this world."
I decided to go do "Champions of the Just" only to see what it's like, then reload and do "In Hushed Whispers". I prefer siding with the mages. Plus, more Cullen content.
I love both, but I still like Alexius a bit better than Envy. He's just human. And of course, Cullen screentime + better character development's help

Well, it's probably more or less because I'M a total nerd who over-enthuses about everything...
So to see someone as excited over the romance options as I get... just makes me really happy.
Seriously. My husband hates me. He does not care about Solas. Or Cullen. And can't stand that I for some reason relate better to fictional characters often times than I do to real people.

Solas IS quietly surprised there... and happily so. I'm pretty sure up until that point he had concluded that his feelings for you were unrequited. Your character is so cute, btw!

Weirdly I really feel pro-Templar in DA2 is just somehow awesome. Yes you do genocide, but if we waive that reasoning (this is a game), I always think that Pro-Templar gives several points of Cullen's character & Meredith's character development that you can't see if you go Pro-Mage. Meredith's my favourite antagonist in the whole series, just after Loghain. She's pretty deep actually but you can only know it being Pro-Templar.
And that hug from Bethany when you don't allow Meredith to kill her...

I played a mage when I went pro-Templar because I thought it would be funny, so no Bethany. 
I did like seeing Cullen vouch for sparing the mages who surrendered, and I did so because even though I was pro-Templar, I wasn't murderous.

It's heartbreaking, but believe me the emotional impact might make you feel the gravity of the situation more than if it's Stroud.
But then I always love Jean-Marc Stroud so... it's always a hard choice.

I... was having so much fun drawing his Freckles. Really. I spent 2 hours just playing with his Freckles. His nickname from Varric should be Freckles.
Actually I made like 8 different variation of Freckles, one of them looks like he just got bad Measles. Real bad one. Dragon Measles.
Have I told you that I love drawing Freckles? Honestly drawing Alin was even much more fun than drawing my quizzy Luthiel. She got no Freckles & she's too smug for her own good.
