Oh, I have Kingdoms of Amalur in my Steam library because it was on sale last year. I haven't had a chance to play it yet and I had no idea that Greg Ellis voiced a character in it. Do you know which one?
Practically all of them. There are only like half a dozen VAs voicing all the NPCs in the game (think Skyrim style, where your hear the same voices everywhere), and Greg voices like every other human male you talk to. It sure is a treat if you like his voice, and he gets a very wide range of tones and personalities between all the dozens of NPCs he voices.
I recommend Amalur as a game for
fun. That game you play just to chill and have a laugh. The story is barely there, there's no companions or romance, there's very little depth overall, but it's so damn
fun to play. Every fun new combat dynamic in DAI is mooched straight from Amalur, so you kinda already know what to expect. (except mages are infinitely more dynamic in Amalur than DAI - what I wouldn't give to have magical shakrams and scepters in Dragon Age!) But the real fun is in playing a jack of all trades character who is a warrior, a rogue and a mage all at the same time, switches weapons at will, casts spells with a bow in their hand, throws poison while wielding a hammer... it's just such a ball. Definitely my go-to game to just relax and not take too seriously.
