Solas-Cass-Cole = best banter ever IMO, really heartwarming.
Solas - Cass was good, as was Cass-Cole.
My all time favorites are Dorian-Cole, Cass-Cole, Iron Bull-Cole, and Sera-Viv.
Hell, they knocked the vast majority of Cole's banters out of the park. Patrick absolutely nailed his voice.
Well, Solas & Cullen fans are mostly girls & elfs or human. Rather same demographic IMO.
Cass' fans are guy-heavy so it might not be the same demographic...

Haha really?? That's so perfect for my sweet little Alin LOL I'm glad I get to actually hear banters now... if I spend enough time on a map, say a few hours, I'll hear several, which is really great. Sometimes I could spend hours on a map and hear no banters at all. That was my first playthrough.

Agree about the Solas thread; they are darlings. There are other good threads out there, for the most part, though... as Tish pointed out, the dwarf thread is particularly warm and welcoming
It's so funny how everybody is different - Dorian is my absolute favorite companion. Each playthrough I try to use different companions so I can experience them all and each time I have a hard time not making Dorian one of my main three. Rhiannon's team of choice is Dorian, Cole and Viv (except dragon hunting Cole is swapped out for Bull because Cole is a total glass canon - he goes down like a sack of potatoes soooo easily). Ooooh there's some awesome banter between Cole and Viv, when I actually get banter that is.
Dorian and Viv are Rhiannon's left and right hands (both of them get on well with a level-headed Templar quite well)...Viv and Rhiannon are the Templar/Mage smash duo:
Overall, my favorite companions are Dorian, Bull and Viv (followed by Cass and Blackwall), but when I need a rogue in the party I usually go with Sera because I like her more than Varric and Cole.

I cannot stand Viv, she is never ever in my party and I barely even speak to her. Even IF I was not playing a mage I still would do the same.
Normally my party consists of Cassandra, Iron Bull and Varric. I sometimes use, Black Wall or Sera..but that is only a couple of times throughout the whole game.

Definitely bless the modders. Though I am not sure when I will have the time to actually get Zhenya far enough to enjoy the romance part of the Cass romance. I am looking forward to some cute moments though.
I know you were a bit worried about clipping... well, having seen Alin and Solas kiss, I can tell you, it's not that bad. Their lips may not have matched up but the camera never panned in so close to their faces that this was blatantly obvious. The only reason I noticed their position was a bit off is simply because I KNEW Solas was "supposed to be" kissing someone shorter. So I was looking for it.
Since Cass canonically can kiss / do the deed with a male dwarf, I doubt a female dwarf will be that different

Well, it comes down to the character and not so much the actual romance content. People fall in love with the character, and either you get it or you don't. I mean, look how many of us fell in love with Cullen's character... before he was ever even a romance possibility.
The Fade Kiss scene could be the one and only romance cut scene for Solas and he would still be my favorite romance (so far). I just connected with him the most.

That's true. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to imply that no one would romance him unless they found him attractive. All I meant was I could see him getting a niche fanbase who didn't find him necessarily attractive, but not the massive popularity he's enjoying. (Truth be told, I don't find him that physically attractive either, but I love that mind, that personality, and that voice. 
)

I would say Alin's (current IQ) favorite team / team he's most comfortable with is Cass, Solas, and... the final slot is constantly rotating, but I think he'll grow to love Cole and feel very big brotherly towards him (Cole just joined my team).
He's afraid of Vivienne (lol), wants to be friends with Sera but finds it hard to do so, has only just met Dorian and thinks he's cool and kind of scary (being a Tevinter mage and all), is afraid of angering Bull (big... so big...), and just feels very distant around Blackwall (who approves of everything he does but is very standoffish).
It's so fun how each playthrough is different
Yeah, those screenies are with flycam. It takes me forever to do anything in-game because I'm constantly on the hunt for new screenies. Rhiannon is in Emprise du Lion right now and just started Suledin keep. After getting past the main gate, she came across this and it was just too stunning to not stop and look around:

Yes they're totally awesome. Some were even talking about using the mod to romance him with Trevalyans and the like.

I was reading a few pages back when Zarro was talking about Arty's rants and I was nodding sagely, thinking "yep...Arty doesn't hold back when the mood takes hold". And it is so funny, because i see Zarro as a hot guy (I know, she is female) because of her avatar (which is a hot guy) and Arty as like a rebelious champion of the underdogs who just has to let it out now and again. I'd give Solas a pity bang just to say that I banged a god lol. But otherwise, I agree. It doesn't really do it for me. Plus, I'm just not really down to play a female elf. Way too twiggy.
This is why people really like Solas: he had one of the hottest kissing scenes in the game. Plus he is pretty badass and...grabs ass as well.
