"Who eeees this Teagan?"
Lol, I love to hate Isolde. Filthy Orlesian noble...who tried to pull Tegan away from my seductive Amell...which I may have headcanoned that Tegan and that Amell got frisky and risky in that old windmill.

I don't know whether any of you guys follow Emegustart & Femharel on Tumblr. They're kind of a pairing of Artist/Writer. SFW & light & funny stories about their Inquisitor Verena & Cullen & a background story for the Inquisitor which turn out into a series of fanfic & comics & arts (Full Circle). These pairs always manage to make me laugh with their stories. I've lurked them working too a few times at livestream, it's really hilarious.
Just want to share this one here: it's about the Inquisitor's big bro & her best friends before they leave for the conclave.

EDIT:
Very well put!! Actually, I'm not sure "genius level" intelligence is necessarily an asset many times anyway, in terms of someone being very effective, and that he appears to be. Most of the people I know who've been particularly successful, including winning people's loyalty, have been smart, but not brilliant, but they have had some of the other traits you point to. I'd add the quality of leadership - he knows how to inspire people and win their loyalty.
Being genius is never a requirement IMO. There are many "genius" people who don't have what it takes to be a good leader. You've underlined the most important part, how to inspire people & win their loyalty.
I'd love to add, for me Cullen seems to take the command not for the Power itself. He takes it because someone has to do it and he sees it as his chance to make things right. These motivations alone would help for him to put the Inquisition's first before his personal gain. A leader that's there for personal gain will never be a good one.

Confidence and charisma are key. You can be the smartest person in the world, but if you're a hermit(sorry Solas) then you aren't going to be as effective.
This makes me cry literally.

XD I would die of laughter if you accidently started to doodle a Cullen chibi on one of those essays. I am sure there are some papers in there that should be burned anyway. Why not add a Cullen to add some redeeming factor? Was that mean...eh...I say snarky.
I don't believe that I am an extremally intelligant person, but I'd like to think that I have some intellect. I can remember back in my senior year at highschool, well, I was not one for groupwork and I would often venture off to the work by myself. I'd rather not get stuck doing the work.
I also read back through the pages and I don't think it is really fair to judge Alistair's intellect/experience/personaility from DA:O and compare it to DA:I Cullen. I think both characters have grown and both are far more weathered. So that's my little tidbit.
BTW...I think I was one of the ones who went on a Game of Thrones tangent a little while back. Sorry R2
I think I have been much more focused...
I'm sorry. I should have specified. I was referring to romantic interest. Now I'm embarrassed and feel like I have insulted everyone.

Not me.
I may have insulted R2 by hanging their dirty undies from the back of their car....but I am perfectly fine. ![]()

You know this reminds me of one of those "Confession" or whatever pictures people do.
Yes I was peeved about this.
Someone made one, to where they thought it was stupid Cullen could be a Commander considering his lack of experience.
I face-palmed, had steam come out of my ears and nose. And realize there are so many dumb people out there. Its scarey, I need Cullen to hold me.
"Who eeees this Teagan?"
He was the first character we all wished we could romance.

He does have a lack of experience in dying when faced with unbeatable odds. He's never once even tried it...
Other than that, I'm not sure what they could be referring to.

That is a good thing...means he never gets tired in bed. ![]()

Lol! No, I wasn't insulted at all. I just saying that I don't think of myself as a genius. I was just making a random comment so you didn't insult anyone...at least to my knowledge!

In my very personal feeling: experience surely help, but there's people born leader.
Seriously. Even when I was in grade school I can sense some of my friends are natural leader that know how to lead others & winning their heart. Those are the kids who'll decide what are we going to play, where are we going to play etc & everyone will just follow in happily. Some just have knacks. But well, those kinds of person that I met doesn't really have Cullen's personality. Most of them are those charismatic & extroverted guy who know how to win people's heart since the first day I knew them up to this day (we were wee kids...). They know how to convince others to follow their lead & ideas.
And about Cullen lacking experience... Well, if he managed to take the lead of Kirkwall Templar's after DA2, that's good enough for me.
This makes me cry literally.

Oh Cullen takes the lead every night with my Inquisitor.

Teagan? Maker, yes. Love his voice (at least for that character, lol).
So...trying to decide if I want to wait for my Zhenya to get turned down by Cullen until I reach Skyhold. Does anyone know if that flirt stays around that long for those who are race gated? I'm trying not to burn through everything at Haven this time...
I'm sorry. I should have specified. I was referring to romantic interest. Now I'm embarrassed and feel like I have insulted everyone.
No worries. I don't think anyone was insulted. It did lead to some interesting conversation on a range of views of "intelligence."
But talking about Cullen and Alistair, together, in the same discussion, is always fun. ![]()

Just a question: What color is this dress?

*because I've been crying the whole evening already*
I'll show myself out
That's actually my favourite part of the whole game. The first time it arrives (with the music etc) I cried. In DA2 we only get this kind of moment but not as good as in DA:O. I really miss this in DA:I...
In DA:O the final battle feels so intense, the stake so high. Basically if you don't do Morrigan's DR you know that either you/Alistair/Loghain will die. Probably all of you. And you keep going on.
I wish... we get this kind of goodbyes with Cullen. Before heading off to the final battle. That hug when returning to Skyhold is nice but you know you're OK so... the feel level is not as high as that Denerim Gate Farewell.
Oh Cullen takes the lead every night with my Inquisitor.
And that is good enough for her.
Mmmmhmmmmm....
Okay maaajor WIP here, but have a crazy eyed/crazy nosed/crazy lipped Cullen!
*snip*
First time I really worked on his hair though....*happy growl* so beauteous, that hair....
Night night all y'all!
Edit: oo and I'm top. How opportune
Wow that's great! Can't wait to see it finished...
Just a question: What color is this dress?

Errr... Black & blue?
Looks blue and gold to me.
Gold???
Looks blue and gold to me.
...**** my life. This dress has destoyied the world. People see blue and gold, black and blue, and white and gold. I see white and gold.
