Oh, I was FREAKING OUT when Greg Ellis said "YES" to my tweet about companionship/romance, even if it was later decided he didn't really know what I was asking. But I was visibly flushed and my boyfriend asked if he should be worried about me, because I was giddy and giggling, constantly grinning. Then they said he WAS an LI and I was too sad about him probably not being a companion to be happy about his confirmed LI status, because I was pretty confident he was an LI by then. So yeahhhhh I get cha!

 

Yeah the sadness hit me later when the "set sexualities" thing was revealed, but I got a few good, glorious days out of it

I don't know about the sex offender part, but for me I just get and evil-villain-tying-damsels-to-railroad-tracks-vibe.  The term "dastardly" comes to mind. ( I may be dating myself with that one.)  And I will get over it, I'm sure.

I've just sat there and replayed that part about 10 times in a row and the people who don't move an inch are Cullen, Cole, Leliana, GW and the lady in gold and blue. At first I thought Leliana was moving, but it's just the shadows from Sera and "Dorian" dancing across her outfit making it look like she's swaying, lol! Either way, it's those 5 who all look dead eyed where they've just be added in without their animations.

I was going to say, I could've sworn Leliana shifted her weight from one foot to another. That's so weird.

Yeah, I did at first so I watched her feet a few times and then her body and face and it definitely doesn't move.

I used to live in a bad part of town, so I'd get those "WARNING: A sex offender has moved into your neighborhood" letters like once a month *ahh good times* And a lot of them had pencil mustaches, so that's why it gives me the heeby jeebies. Like most BW characters though, I'm sure he'll be terrific.

Nah, I just find his mustache funny, not creepy. He has nothing on some of these guys, though.

That's why I'm thinking they're just placeholders. There's still several months before this goes to beta, so there can still be a lot of changes in the works.

I agree. Especially given that Gaider tweet about just having seen a new iteration of one of his character models, just a week or so before the video went out.

 

EDIT: Did someone say here once that there was a video released before DA2 that showed a drastically different looking Isabela?

She just looked sooo cute and adorable in concept that I immediately wanted to romance her with my lady inquisitor. I like playing a bad a$$ Amazon type female character who romances the "cute" girl. Which is why I like to play a super aggressive warrior FemHawke who romances Isabela; it's just such a cute pairing lol
 
But she looks very "not cute" in that scene, not that I'm not still dying to meet her and love her, but she just may not be the "type" I was thinking of.

I don't think we should be using that scene as the be all and end all of what the characters look like, considering it seemed to be a weird shot. Besides, Sera still looked pretty cute to me! I like her boots.
