Actually, I didn't get them killed by leaving, I got them killed by not preparing properly for the Siege, so it turned into a bit of a meatgrinder.

It's funny, I just did Redcliffe last night and I seriously considered leaving them on purpose just to see how it plays out. Never did that before. I'm also currently (for the first time) making Alistair ask for it *wiggles eyebrows*.

What is a total PITA with Redcliffe is trying to keep the damn bartender alive. I mean the guy could not at least grab some potions or some armor, or perhaps both?!?

Kind of like working your butt off at work. Holidays come around and you cannot wait for your bonus check. Then you discover this year, your getting a free frozen turkey instead.

I cheated and used the "kill everything" mod. It's just a speed run anyway.

I've left the people of Redcliffe to die a couple of times. You're not popular with Teagan afterwards.

In my first playthrough I helped (or maybe that should be "helped") them but didn't prepare enough, so there were many, many casualties.

 

But I've always been curious about what the history books in Thedas would say about a HoF who left the people of Redcliffe to die.

I stayed on topic for a few hours and then that happened, lol. I think the universe is basically smacking us around. If there was any time when a mod could had closed the thread. It would had been last night, so I think we are safe at least when it comes to mods trying to close the thread.

I don't think we're worse than many of the other character threads, though. I did some lurking in another one about a week ago (not going to name any names ), and compared to that one we're strictly on-topic.

 

But I'd rather not hear anything more about the dress , it's totally aggravating me that I can only see one color combination of it.

He was so very cute, but very insistent and adamant that he wanted to...mingle with his lover in their tent. I think I chose an option that was similar to telling Alistair to drop his pants and come on in. Don't judge me, lol!

I try to be OT...but things always distract me. I am not like the person who is talking to someone and then randomally sees a butterfly and starts chasing it. I am not that horrible! I just get caught up on things and make R2's eye probably twitch...

This is the first time I've been able to play with mods so I have the Dahlia improved Alistair first night installed (or whatever it's called). I hope it doesn't glitch out. So far I haven't had any major problems. I really like the "improved" kisses too. 

 

Now I'm off to the Circle - Less Tedious Fade here I come!

 

I can never remember - when does Zevran show up? I just defended Redcliffe after grabbing Oghren from Orzammar, but not completing the Branka quest.

You have to complete one of the main quests - Redcliffe isn't "done" until the demon is defeated, one way or the other.

 

I use the "get Zevran early" mod myself....

yeah i know Redcliffe isn't finished, i'm breaking it up. i have that mod installed but i don't think it's working. i left Ostagar, went to Lothering then Orzammar then Redcliffe.  could i get him after the circle? i want to have him before i go to the temple if possible.

Doesn't sound like the mod is working, yeah. He should show up once the Circle is dealt with. Say "hello" to Cullen for all of us while you're there...

I love how for the guy most terrified of the battle, he's the one who keeps trying to pull a Leeroy Jenkins and charge all the corpses by himself? Did Lloyd not bother going to Owen for some armour or a better weapon? Or did Owen not have enough time to adjust any armour for his ample frame?

 

Even with the Mabari mod to have Dog as a fifth companion to take some of the aggro in that battle, it's still difficult to keep that fool alive!

LOL I think folks have made some valiant effort to stay on topic in the the face of The Dress That Conquered the Internet.

 

That being said... the fact that a mod didn't comment doesn't mean we're not in danger. They can't be everywhere, and it's foolish to think that they're never watching. We've had this very thread shut down and deleted for things we wouldn't have predicted. If there's one thing we've learned: BSN moderation is far from predictable. So we still need to be careful. I'm sure they think we're generally a lost cause, but if they've been busting out warnings recently, then no one is safe.

I'm always way behind in this thread so you may already know this but there's a great mod that allows Zevran to show up right after you leave Lothering. I always use it so that I can romance Zev for a while, before he gets demoted to BFF and I start my permanent romance with Alistair. But in my world, Zev hangs around with us forever.

Well, for whatever reason, no one's ever liked us. Not other fans, not devs, not BSN mods. Devs have come around to us, thank god! And there are some fellow fans who support us. But still, old habits die hard lol
