So, at the Winter Palace if Cullen isn't romanced he'll tell the admirers that he's married to his work instead of "not married yet".  I don't intend to spark a debate on marriage here (again  ), but I thought I'd share something I just noticed in his dialogue.  The Inquisitor I'm playing right now is romancing Solas.

Yes, I love dwarves generally, but I can take or leave Oghren as a companion, sigh. I always thought he was written for 12 year old pre-teen boys myself who wanted belch and fart jokes...

Yup, it's an option we can choose when uploading an artwork.

 

The thing is, my BFF told me that it's easily... worked around. If someone wants your pic so badly, they'll have it. They won't have the best HD quality however, if you put 600 pixel * 600 pixel they can't have better. But there's way to remove it apparently.

 

 

Well, there's on tumblr. I heard that Greendelle & eternalshiva got once their work stolen & plagiarized in livejournal or something like that. Guess that on Tumblr & Deviant Art it won't be difficult, but I wonder how about WordPress & other non-moderated sites?

 

I'm not entirely sure about unmoderated sites, but in my experience eventually perpetrators are called out for stealing. I feel like so many people have had art stolen that they become very aware of these things, so there are good Samaritans out there who will go out of their way to contact victims of art theft, which is really nice of them. At the very least the thieves will be outed as such. Not extremely comforting, I know, but it's something. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'd wanted to start reporting people but I wasn't sure if Tumblr would do anything since they're screenshots and technically Bioware owns the subjects, right? It's not like a drawing or painting where it's personal recreations of copyrighted material. 

 

I see many people from various fandoms reporting stolen gif edits successfully (and gifs are basically moving screenshots imo), so I'd say it's at least worth a shot. Tumblr also states in its community guidelines that reposts or misattribution are specifically frowned upon in a separate section from copyright claims, so people reposting your original post are doing something wrong anyway. (here)

Patch 5 just has a storage chest, apparently, along with bug fixes. All the Black Emporium stuff is separate.

I finally did the "Champions of the Just" quest and it was...interesting. Barris seemed like a decent man and the templars with him seemed so, too. However, Envy disturbed the crap out of me! Its voice was creepy and its true form was even creepier. Cole scared me because his voice was coming out of NOWHERE! Then he appears on the War Table! Creepy stuff, I tell you.

 

Throughout the whole quest, I was all "Cullen, where are you when I need you? Hold me."

When it comes to safe guarding your image from some ass'hat, sadly there is really nothing you can do.

 

While Mel, I or anyone else does our best to watermark our "work" there are so many people out there who can easily remove it with a bit of time on their hands. Yes, people are that desperate.

 

Does it peeve me off? Of course. But if I managed to track someone down who does use my work or anyone else I know, all I or anyone can do is send them a message and inform them to give credit where it should be. Even then these ass'hats generally laugh and ignore.

 

Its difficult for me to still accept of how society has become so rude over the past decade. Use to be go into a store and say "Excuse me" and someone would say, "Oh, sorry" and move. These days I do it and the person does not move nor say word. Its like manners have completely been blown out of some peoples lives and into outer space. And the internet is far far worse. Sometimes it can get so bad its like flashbacks to high school days.

 

While we can do our best to ask for credit in the end people do not care and that angers me just as badly as someone "thieving" our work.

 

Personally I don't think it's comparable. Each step during the history of the society always had its dark sides. There was a time when "killing an infidel means no murder", when women and children did not have souls, when LGBT people were treated as sick & mind bleached, when coloured people were treated as lesser beings (I mean no offense to anyone). Apartheid stills exist until 1960 no? Longer in some other countries.

 

The society is something that evolves, with all its good and bad sides. Personally I don't think that the society in the past is better than today overall, if probably it was only more hypocritical in the past from what I read. There are points that were better for sure, but there are also so many points that had improved since then.

 

Maybe I say this because I am of the younger generations, I do not have many comparison of how it was a few decades ago. But I do believe in this one, and the ones that are to come. I still believe in humanity.
