He did write Solas, Artie. I think we are in good hands. Plus he seems fairly approachable and friendly!

He wrote him, but not for my character  But yeah he does seem very approachable and friendly, and when I used to follow dev tweets, he made a concerted effort to champion the causes of others (like female gamers and such).

It might be a good opportunity for him to leave actually. We're done with southern thedas, aren't we? He's helped create and nurture this puppy for 10 years, and we're likely saying goodbye to all the characters he wrote.... at least it felt like goodbye...*bracing breathe* Hopefully he stuck around to finish writing all the dlc though!

Yes, but his character was/is strong enough without a romance. Lol, I understand though! He really is! I always tweeted him and he responds very quickly!

Wonder if patch 5 will kill the banter mod from CE. It's been a nice change, especially since I'm at level 19, right before the arbor wilds and everyone is practically introducing themselves to eachother now

I'm hoping they fix banter for everyone secretly as part of the "general bug fixes" and just not tell anyone. That way if it doesn't work, they won't get another backlash like patch 4 and people will just be happily surprised. That's what I would do...underpromise and over deliver

If you mod, wait. It's hard to play without them once you have found the ones you want.

I've contacted the modder but haven't heard back from them yet, sigh.

 

I don't plan on playing today so I should be fine. And there's so much drama and nastiness surrounding ANY of the romance mods that it's freaking impossible to communicate with ANYONE about it. All modders are undercover now, are difficult to track down, and even mentioning the mods on tumblr or BSN earns 10 hate posts for every legitimate post.

Tell me about it.  I just mentioned once that I planned on using the mod in a different thread and someone replied to me and said it was no different than if I used a whitewashing mod... great.

It's very strange and discomforting, what's going on in the community, BUT we should probably not talk about it here (My fault for bringing it up.) Wouldn't want to stir up trouble in the Cullen thread

 

So anyway... I'll keep my game unpatched until I know something, and hopefully if a voiced bi-Cullen mod comes out I'll have finished the Solas romance by then and will be able to patch and use the mod.

Interesting. I wonder what project he's moving to? I can imagine after all the uproar and such over the years, he might just be interested in starting fresh with a new project without some of the baggage. Or he might be bored after so many years on the same project, or the new project might be particularly exciting to him.

I will be very upset if there is not a conclusion for those romances and characters. There is nothing that makes me more angry than when someone leaves their character's relationships as loose ends.

As someone who likes to mod, just set Dragon Age not to update and play in offline mode. Of course MP wouldn't be possible. But Modders are usually quick to update.
