It's "my show" so it gets top spot, though I love Walking Dead, also (read the Game of Thrones series but don't watch it). Ah, Dean! Dean is my favorite, also, though I love Sam almost as much. And Castiel is my favorite not-Dean-or-Sam character I'm SO curious what your reaction to the end of season 9 will be. Do you have a plan for how you're going to watch season 10?

The show has given me so many laughs and brought me to tears numerous times so far, and Castiel gives me so many feels (and laughs) for his childlike naivety and innocence ("I learned that from the pizza man." and like realizing he needs to eat instead of wash his bloody clothes  ). Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins are both marvelous actors. Oh, and because I love throaty American muscle, I would totally rock that Impala sideways. Though I do have to say the one episode where there was the alternate reality and they were driving a classic Mustang was just...OMG the awesomeness. There was also an episode where they were driving one of my dream cars - a 1978 Trans Am. 

 

I think Season 10 is currently on it's mid-season break? I already set my DVR up to record what is left of it. Several episodes are available on-demand and I will end up buying the others that I need on Amazon Instant Video. I simply cannot wait til it shows up on Netflix!

 

And Cullen doesn't need a roof! He's bunking with his quizzie!

I agree with Avorous. I think your experience on tumblr can be what you make it to be. If you stick to your dash and follow likeminded people, you will only see thing that you like or are generally not offended by. Don't like what someone has to say? Don't follow them or tumblr savior some of what they say. If you're worried about folks seeing your stuff, don't tag it and then the only folks who will usually see it are those who have chosen to follow you or see it reblogged by someone else. There are lots of ways to manage your tumblr experience into a positive one, and it's rare that folks are actively out to get you. I like it there and I rarely run into toxicity and controversy, by design.

The show has broken my heart, left me gutted, and made me laugh so hard I've almost fallen over ("This isn't funny, Dean! The voice says I'm almost out of minutes!"). And the pizza man comment is CLASSIC (: Plus, Meg/Cas canon OTP all the way!  Oh, funny thing about that Mustang? When the guy who created the show first conceived it, he talked to his neighbor who was a classic car gearhead, and was like, so I'm thinking a 68 Mustang? And the guy was like, Sure, that's great. If you're a wuss (though he used a more colorful term). And so we got the Impala and the Mustang made its appearance in the alt timeline But yeah, the Impala is one sexy car.

 

Season 10 came back from mid-season break in January. There have been five eps since then, but it IS on break again right now til the 18th.

 

Hahaha! Good point about Cullen. Serious question though, do you think he would bunk with the Inquisitor? I mean he's so intensely private, and even his room/office is far away from everyone else. And he does say he'd rather not fuel the gossip with your relationship. I guess he does come to your room openly after defeating Corypheus, but before the battle is done do you think he would sleep in the Inquisitor's room? Or have them stay in his room to keep things on the down low? (Although the noble couple in the hall seem to know EVERYTHING about your relationship, so who would we be kidding   )

Agree, I've been on tumblr for a long time, about since it was launched. Was mostly posting anime and interacting with other anime fans, especially BL fans (who are usually exceptionally sweet if a little on the squealy side lol); I didn't encounter controversy until I started browsing the Dragon Age-related tags, and suddenly discovered that Fenris was whitewashed and blah blah blah you're all racist sexist homophobic beotches.... Me:       

 

The BSN, in my experience, is 500 times more toxic; in fact, it is the most toxic online space I've ever participated in (with YouTube being the possible excpetion). I associate tumblr with warm, fangirl/boy feels and squeals and posting pics of our OTPs and sharing fanfic and gifs. Just happy good times!

What she said, basically. I second this wholeheartedly. I've been on Tumblr in Supernatural fandom (famous for its ******) for several years and I've never had a problem. Stick to following like-minded people, blacklist what you need to, scroll past any potential ******, and turn off anonymous commenting if you need to. I've seen that it's much rarer for people to be nasty in your inbox if they have to put their name on it.

I think it's perfectly plausible for him to move in. Especially given the foolish practicality of not wanting to get snowed on in his room. How and when he would move in is the subject of lots of fun speculation, but I could see him slowly moving a few things in over time until by the time he finally thinks he's officially moved in, and moves his "official" toothbrush in, all of Skyhold thought it already happened months before.

Oh. My. Goodness! I go to sleep for a few hours and there is so much going on.

 

About Choices:

 

There are choices people have made in game, art or whatever pertaining to Cullen that I disagree with and/or cause my nose to scrunch up. I am a rather blunt person, telling it like it is etc. Thus in the past here or anywhere I would have probably sat down and wrote out an eight-page explanation as to why their choices are wrong.

 

However I have come to realize those are not my choices and I may disagree with them but I should not berate the choice a person makes simply because I do not agree with it.

 

Mel’s play-through is a good example.

 

I do not agree with her choices pertaining to Cullen. But and I say BUT, the fact is she enjoys her choices, her game and that brings a smile to her face. Who am I to judge her choices when the choices I have made in the game could be wrong to her or anyone else?

 

Same can be said for art. No I do not like a certain direction people choose to display Cullen in drawings or in their own stories. Again I have the choice to either view/read it or move on. If that depiction is something they find enjoyment out of, by all means continue to do so and I shall respect that.

 

We are all human and each of us has different tastes in what we like and we do not like and that is OK, it is natural. If everyone liked the same thing, the world would be pretty damn boring.

 

Those who choose to disagree with whatever someone chose to do with Cullen are simply just so passionate about their play-through that I do not think they took the time to calm down and reflect.

 

The point is:

 

Cullen is a popular character and everyone has their different way of going about how they choose to depict him. While those choices may not be something I or anyone agrees with, we all need to understand that our choice that is right to us or a handful of people does not mean it is the right choice. That is the beauty of Dragon Age games allowing you to decide which choice is best for you not what is best for everyone.

I am not as adapt as Mel is when it comes to screen shots in the game. I am certainly trying and Mel has been helping me (Thank you).

 

I will say this: Taking the screen shots Mel does is not, I repeat not easy.

 

You need to have several programs running in order to take these screen shots and even then you may not get the shot you desire. Mel told me once, “It’s all trial and error.” And it is.

 

Most of the screen shots I have taken were used with Freecam.. Freecam is a wonderful tool but it takes time and some patience to use it. It is not as simple as hitting “Print screen.”

 

The screen shots taken ARE Mel’s, I’s or anyone who takes them our property. We bought the game. We took the time to take these screen shots.

 

It is no different going out and buying a camera and taking pictures of the outside world. What so we take a picture of the outside world. Those who believe God or whomever create this world, does that photo now belong to him/her?

 

I, Mel or anyone are not selling our art from the game to make money. We are sharing our forums of art with the rest of the world. All we ask is that those who choose to use to be sure to ask and give credit.

 

It is not fair to us that we worked hard to achieve this screen shot only to have someone swoop in and lay siege to it-so-to-speak.

 

It all comes down to politeness and respect.

*waves* phew! It's been hectic here, dum and mad are in the middle of moving house again, hubby and I got roped into helping......sooo stressful and it's not even my move lol mum has the plan down to a tea, dad has other ideas about how it should all happen, fireworks and much nagging ensues lol

I downloaded the patch, everything is dandy except now I have seriously shiny hair because my graphics aren't the greatest I used to have the mesh setting maxxed and I didn't have any shinies, now the mesh setting doesn't seem to be making any difference atall. I read that there is a shadow quality shader thingy ma jig now, I'll need to find it and have a fiddle with that when I go into game, see if I can dull it down some, as it stands my black haired IQ looks like she has dunked her head in a barrel of grease, it's really not a good look and I can't unsee it, everytime I look at her all I see is the hair

Cullen looks great, whatever changes they have made, it's cleaned him up brilliantly on my system, no blotchy stubble and such but now my IQ looks horrid, typical lol

Off to go and have a fiddle with the graphic settings, hoping my game doesn't implode

SO CUTE. I can see Cullen having basically been moved in for months before he "decides" to make it official And the IQ finding it so adorable that he thinks he's just now making it official. I can just see someone like Dorian (who probably visits quizzies room a lot) being like, "Three pairs of pants, two shirts, countless pairs of socks, an armor polishing kit, your jammies, a spare set of calibrating tools, an extra set of boots, all your shaving tools and your favorite lambswool blanket... but the toothbrush, that's what does it for you?

Oh, I LOVE the 68 Mustang, it's my second fave after the 69 Camaro. War's car was sex on wheels. And you definitely won't want to wait for season 10. Season 9 ends on something of a cliffhanger.

 

I have NOT seen the video. I will have to check it out! And yes.. advise her. Sometimes she needs a LOT of... advice. Especially late at night, but sometimes in the mid-afternoon as well 

 

RE Tumblr: Basically the same. I stick to talking to friends and scroll past the BS. I have an embarrassing amount of followers (like 3000) because I'm rather well known in fandom for my writing, but even with that many people, I've never had a problem. It really is what you make it, I think.

XD I was rather short for once, eh? I typically post such very detailed responses as to why my opinion is what it is, but to me that situation is really simple. Cullen is the type who stands in the background, but yearns to have someone grow close to him and accept him for who he is and what life he has led. If he has fallen so madly in love with the IQ as it seems he has, well, I don't see why he wouldn't move into the IQ's room or at least stay the night. He has nightmares and I have a feeling that she is one of the few things that sooth them or at least brings him comfort when he awakes.

No, it isn't. It's a screenshot from a game. Read the law referring to legal copyright and intellectual property.

 

If the player does not wish for their screenshots to be widely shared by people, then he or she must post them in a private album and place a watermark or some other form of identification on the images.

 

And btw, weren't those screenshots taken to be shared by other players? They were. They must be everywhere on the internet by now.
