I'm very tempted to do yet another run through of Origins at the moment, I'm a bit nostalgic for Alistair after encountering him in Redcliffe again yesterday. Poor sod's had a difficult ten years what with his wife having to go off to Amaranthine and then dropping off the face of Thedas.
One of the things that always makes me sad, especially when you listen to how much a warden Alistair describe how much he loves her, is that if the HoF doesn't find a cure in time, those two or possibly more years could have been time they made the most of together as opposed to apart.

Personally I even find it a bit more sad with Leliana, Morrigan, Zevran. Alistair's lifespan is about the same with the Warden. But the rest, they would die much later. It's heart breaking to be left behind.

Is that really true though? Wardens that were made during a Blight have a much shorter lifespan than those who were made before the Blight or even at the beginning of it, no?

Alistair was made Warden 6 month before the Warden... I don't think it's a huge difference TBH. IMO Warden & him have about the same lifespan. Much shorter compared to normal people (Leliana, Zev, possibly Morrigan)

I also romanced Dorian (as a male of course) and IB (as a Qunari female), and neither option ALLOWED me to romance Cullen, so that was easier 
Oh man, I miss Alistair, too, but I don't know if I could play Origins again. SO SLOW. At least I have world states where he's together with my Warden.

I rolled a Qunari to romance Sera, which helped because it just wasn't an option, but I still felt guilty. The man's going throuh a personal crisis, it feels mean to leave him alone

I have a goal to romance all characters so that I can make a LI appreciation vid. The only way I can not romance Cullen is by rolling a Qunari or Dwarf.

I don't think Alistair was made a Warden during the Blight or at least not that far into it. I think the Warden probably have to do their Calling a year or maybe more earlier than Alistair. Then you add the Theirin blood...I just have a feeling Alistair is not going to have to worry about the Taint; with or without a cure.

I only managed it ONCE with Alistair. I played an elf and let him dump me and ran off with Zevran, but by then I had already gotten most of the goods from the Alistair romance so...

Baking isn't really my thing, although I have been trying to get better at it. Most of what I bake usually comes out of a box But CUPCAKES! Now I want to make some. I have to run to the store shortly, maybe I'll buy some for instant gratification!

Char, do you have Origins for PC? I'm replaying it now with mods and loving it. Just cutting out that long part of the Fade in the circle makes all of the difference, and I'm falling in love with Alistair all over again. And I also installed the "kill everything instantly" mod, it's a cheat yeah but it makes it so much faster if you just want the story.

I dunno, they opened up a new plot thread with Warden Alistair talking about the HoF looking for a cure far far away. I wouldn't be surprised if that's where we're going next game.
