Yeah, rudeness can be very appalling, especially when it comes from someone who works in the entertainment industry and you happen to like what he does...It kind of ruins everything, even if you subconsciously know that the actor isn't the character.

It can also be nice when you find the opposite, though. My mother and I happened to bump into Mark Sheppard on a shuttle at Heathrow and he was super pleasant and personable, so now I enjoy his characters all the more.  :)

Regardless I'm gonna avoid having too much interaction with him, just in case. I'd flip my **** if Cullen got ruined for me by his very own VO!

as Eric said GE is much more older and much more wiser and he really has a good heart he is not cocky at all compared to other actors that ive seen... *cough Ben Afflick cough*... but yea he seems like a very sweet man,  and really seems to like his fandom, I mean the guy is very thoughtful and spiritual like he  makes all kinds of fund raisers for poor or ill children and such

Wait you jumped so many pages! Did something happen- I can't read them all because my partners family is visiting and I haven't come up with a clever way to make them leave! (Kidding...kinda)

No, we're just chatting. I guess because it's the weekend?

It was about Anders' voice actor. We're of the opinion that GE is nice.  :)

Has anyone from BioWare 'officially' confirmed that the guy at the far left of the table in the trailer is Cullen, or are we all just assuming?

Or if the Temple containing the Ashes suffers some major scenery gorn from all the demons milling about? Leliana, Cassandra and Cullen would probably want those Ashes recovered?

I know my Inquisitor would want them recovered! She's pretty devout and wouldn't want the Ashes lying around being pooped on by demons!

I murder knifed Anders a few times after that, LOL! It kinda ruined my canon DA2 play through for me for a little while since my canon Hawke romanced Anders, but after a while I realised that he's obviously a bloody good actor because Anders is much nicer than his VO is in real life!

Yeah and it helps to remember that Anders (or anyone) isn't just a voice; he's the product of loads of talented people, writers, artists, and so on. Respect to all those folks as well!

Not officially, but since it looks like Cullen and Greg Ellis is voicing lines, as well as his being a Love Interest, it's a safe assumption to make.

Pretty much this,as strange as it might seem we spectators/fans tend to associate the actor with the character in the back of our minds,I have a list as big as my arm of characters whose (voice)actors kind of ruined the experience for me,and others who made me like their characters even more.

That's a great point! A character isn't just who portrays them, they're also the writer and director. I never thought of it like that before. Thank you!

This, plus Greg Ellis also started tweeting quite a bit about Cullen stuff the day the trailer came out, which would be odd if his character hadn't been in it.

One thing that makes you ignore the person behind the talent is being a sports fan. I'm a big soccer/football fan, and let me tell, it's no treat learning that you favorite player sleeps with prostitutes or cheated on his girlfriend/wife lol But after the initial anger, I can go back to just admiring the player's amazing skill and commitment to the team, and I can do the same with BW characters (though luckily I've had no bad run-ins with VO).

Only time I draw the line is when someone says or does something racist / homophobic / sexist / you get the picture. Nope, I'm done with ya!

That's what happened with Adam Baldwin. Took me ages to accept it though. I was certain it was just a joke, I mean, he worked with and goes to all those conventions with Sean Maher!

The forum cleared my multiquote queue and I lost a post I wanted to respond to!  :( I'm going to go back and find it, but it may be a very delayed reaction.  :P

True, although I'd say this applies more to video game characters where the character can be completely different from the actor who portrays him and is as you said is the product of many talented people who work in different fields of expertise...In films and shows it can be more challenging to completely ignore it.

The latter example being someone like Orson Scott Card. As much as I want to read Ender's Game or watch the film, his homophobia really puts me off wanting to do so. Even the filmmakers didn't particularly want to mention him during publicity of the film for that reason.

On the other hand, I can admit to liking Tom Cruise in Interview with the Vampire because he actually bothered to act in that movie. The guys a little nuts and the religion he belongs to I don't want to even begin with, but I can't deny he's not talented at what he does (when he tries).

I thought the guy who played in that movie was Brad Pitt?

I second that!I loved the book and I must admit that I really liked the way he portrayed Lestat...
