It was Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. Tom played Lestat. I forget what the vampire Brad played was called.

Tom Cruise was Lestat. Or he is Lestat. Actually, if the latter, he might not have been acting after all.

 

Edit: @Lola, Brad Pitt played Louis. Eveyone forgets poor Louis, he even was usurped by Lestat as the main character in the series, despite being my favourite protagonist by far. He's so adorably depressed, he's like the vampire version of Eeyore.

The latter example being someone like Orson Scott Card. As much as I want to read Ender's Game or watch the film, his homophobia really puts me off wanting to do so. Even the filmmakers didn't particularly want to mention him during publicity of the film for that reason.
