Hahahaha, for the first time I heard Cullen talking to the messenger about the prank Sera and my Inquisitor pulled on him.

"I know Sera was in here.  When I find out what she did... I'll... do something back!"

lol my game glitches when we get into his office and he's standing behind the desk...so I'm in for some serious 'punishment' afterwards...can't wait!

Just popping in!

I hardly ever got any Cullen office banter.  Such a shame.

Still playing KOTOR and waiting for hair mods, banter fix, and Black Emporium before diving into DAI again. (sigh...i miss Cully)

I got Josephine on that quiz.

So...quick question...I fooled around with the KEEP and all 49 of my characters are there (craziness).  I have 5 Ciara's, and have no idea which one of them is the completionist playthrough because when I load them in, all of them have the same hidden tiles and non-hidden tiles.  Does anyone who did a completionist playthrough actually get all their choices to show up when they import their character?  Ugg, I wish they would tell you the level of the character...that would help immensely!!!

And Cullen as a modern day military man?  SWOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Those pics are amazing!!

*snort* I can absolutely see him doing the first one, and it would be hilarious. Not so sure he'd think of the second (but as a joke for Solas to play on her, hmm....)

Yeah, I can totally see it, too :D

The Inquisitor pushes open the door to Sera's room, surprised to see her lying on the cushions of the window seat with a pillow clenched firmly over her head.

"Sera?" she asks, tilting her head to one side.

Sera yanks the pillow from her head and throws it across the room in frustration, heaving to her feet and beginning to pace the circumference of the room.

"What's wrong?" the Inquisitor asks.

"Don't you hear it?" Sera demands, spinning on the Inquisitor.

The Inquisitor tips her head slightly further to the side, listening. "All I hear is Maryden singing."

"That's it!" Sera exclaims, throwing her hands in the air. "Elgargling, Dirtyman, the drooly one. It's all she's been singing about all bloody day. Elves, elves, elves. Stupid, bleeding, sodding elves," Sera spits the last word like venom.

"I feel like I should be offended," the Inquisitor responds after a moment, all too conscious of the points of her own ears.

Sera waves off the comment, starting to pace again. Downstairs, Maryden begins to croon about  the betrayal of Fen'Harel, and Sera runs her fingers through her hair, tugging angrily on the ends. "Augh!"

The Inquisitor can't help but grin.

"It's not funny."

"It's a little funny."

"Why are you here?"

"I came by to see Cullen."

"Cullen? What's Cullen doing here? He's never--" Sera breaks off, a strange look dawning on her face.

"I know, it is odd," the Inquisitor agrees. "But it's good that he's taking a break for once."

"Oh, that little ****," Sera hisses, pushing past the Inquisitor to the door.

The Inquisitor arrives downstairs right behind Sera, just in time to see Cullen tip his mug at Sera, a pleased smirk on his lips that she recognizes all too well.

"You did this," Sera accuses him, furious.

"Did what?" he asks, all innocence, but the Inquisitor can tell he's still smirking as he takes a drink from his mug. It's so adorable she'd kiss him if she wasn't laughing so hard.

She might have to restrain Sera from knifing him and Maryden right here in the tavern, but it'll totally be worth it for the look on Sera's face right now.

For me it's Leliana. I have never gotten messenger banter with her.

Does anyone who did a completionist playthrough actually get all their choices to show up when they import their character?!

Most of the choices from my completionist run showed up. A few tiles are especially buggy, though; hope they fix things soon!

The easiest way to differentiate saves is to load up the one you want in-game, make a new quick save, then go back to the Keep. That playthrough will then be marked as your current one.

FYI, I don't think you need to worry bout spoiler tags anymore.

As to Solas' "people", he seems to be speaking more about the elves that once were, not the ones as they are now.

And about Flemeth's divinity, some are speculating that it's what we saw her pushing through the eluvian.

Yes, he doesn't think much of the Dalish. He's a bit more sympathetic toward the non-Dalish elves, but I'm inclined to guess at who he defines as his "people" a bit cautiously.

I did kind of find it odd in the very last scene with him saying "I don't know what happens after this" and Inquisitor replying "neither do I".

Here's how I interpreted that: confronting something in theory is a bit different than in practice. While the war was still going on, what they'd do afterwards was sort of an afterthought - easy to just say "It doesn't matter what happens as long as we're together" and refocus on the task at hand. But then the war is over and reality sets in - everything that's been put off "until we defeat Corypheus" is suddenly staring them in face. And dealing with the issues of what to do with Inquisition, its people, its power, its allies, its enemies, etc. is going to be a huge task. Probably not an easy one. So I see Cullen as stopping, taking a breath, looking around and feeling for a moment as if they've plowed through impossible obstacles only to find themselves teetering on the edge of a cliff. And Quizzie is there to reassure him: "I don't know what's going to happen either, but I'm not worried. Could be bad, yes... but it could be good! Can't wait to see! It's a new day."

That's how it goes with my Quizzie, at least. :)

How did you all take that scene?

I personally like it, because even though Cullen keeps turning to her for reassurance, my IQ does not have all the answers. She doesn't know what happens now any more than he does.

Not to them as a couple, mind you, they've both done the "it doesn't matter if we're together" thing before so to me that's more than settled (I'm not big on relationships where you have to keep reassuring each other that you're still in love every five minutes, so if it's been said once, I consider it a done deal). But to them as Inquisition, I mean - what's their purpose now that the Breach is sealed, Cory is gone and the new Divine is elected. Where do they go from here as an institution, does it still have any purpose left, is it even in everyone's best interest to find a new purpose and keep going or would it be wiser to sheathe their swords and dissolve the Inquisition, etc. Right then, at that moment in her bedroom, my Quizzie really doesn't know.

It may not work for every Inquisitor, of course, as IQ personalities and relationship dynamics will vary, but at least for mine that last scene works perfectly. They both know where they stand on their relationship so that's that, but neither one of them knows where they stand as Inquisitor and Commander now that their purpose has apparently been fulfilled, so for now what both of them really need is to slow down and watch the sunrise, not worrying about tomorrow and what ifs for a change.

oh yes, I totally forgot to talk about that thing Flemeth is pushing through the Eluvian. To me it looks like the Old God soul she removed from Kieran(but she probably did not do this for everyone since not everyone made the choice to have Kieran have the soul in the first place). So it makes sense that it is something she wants to hide from Solas and save for Morrigan to find later, like some Old God power.

and about the ending scene, I did think their relationship was pretty solidified at that point , so the whole "I dunno" "me neither" thing was more about like what happens to the world now and the Inquisition specifically. I like to think of it as them looking onto the forever changed world together, which makes me feel that whatever happens they are facing it together so to speak. I am curious what will happen to the Inquisition and what role it will play in future games.

I didn't come on here for a few weeks since finishing the game because I always feel this mourning after I finish a game like that. I felt so connected to the world and the people, and then it is over, and it is just kind of depressing, sad to say goodbye. Speaking of which, does anyone know any more info of DLC, other than there will probably be something in the future.

My assumption is that David at least got his writing done for DLC before he announced that he was leaving. Either that or his work on the new IP has yet to begin.

Spoiler

Regarding the last scene between Quizzie and Cullen, I liked it. The Inquisition was founded out of necessity and now that the big bad is gone, anything is possible. Basically, I agree with ninetozero. It will be interesting to see where the Inquisition as on organisation will go from here. They became quite powerful and I bet that the one or the other monarch is observing them carefully. What will the Inquisition do with all the power I wonder? Not only that, depending on your epilogue slide and who became the devine, Thedas as a whole changed. So I also wonder what the mages will do with their new freedom. Will it work out for them? Will it lead to more disaster? If we look at the politics, a lot questions stayed open and in my opinion they could form a good basis for the next Dragon Age game.

As for Solas, I think he is a God, not just a powerful mage. However, he himself sees the Elven Gods as powerful beings but we don't know which beings they might be. They could be spirits or something else entirely (unless I missed something). The problem is that the Elves have lost a lot of their lore (and culture) over the centuries, so no one knows for sure what's going on. My personal take on it is that the Elves have the wrong picture of Fen'Harel, their Gods and the Fall of Arlathan. Furthermore, I don't think that Solas' power is linked to the orb. We've heard him say that he was to weak to unlock it, so it seems to me that the orb has power of it's own but requires a lot of energy to make it work. Also, I'm not sure if Solas really wants to help the Dalish. He didn't seem to be too fond of them (but that might be because they got the wrong picture of him and the Elven Gods ;) ). Some players see Solas as the villain in this story. I don't. I was under the impression that he and Flemeth shared the same goal somehow, which makes me think that there must be more to it and that everything leads back to the time when Mythal was murdered and/or Arlathan fell. Of course, this is all speculation.

PS. And I've heard that you get a different cutscene with Flemeth if you didn't kill her (you won't meet her in the fade but someplace else).

I hope so. I assume the change in leadership is partly responsible for the delay on DLC announcements, which I can understand. But still... 3 and a half months with no word...

Oh well. Still got some mods to try out in Baldur's Gate II.  Old skool ahoy! *whooshing sounds*

News on DLC has been frustratingly non-existent. There's a Black Emporium thing in the works - that's about all we know.

Supposedly, the BE was to be released with Patch 5, but it ran into some issues.

There are have been conflicting reports in regards to the DLC. One says they started working on a DLC while another says the DLC has been on hold until the BE is released. I dunno what is going on, no more then you or anyone. Its all speculation and hush hush.

The problem I see is if the months continue to roll by, the developers may rush a DLC and that does not sound appetizing to me. I am hopeful they come out with a DLC as massive as Awakening was.

Right now, IMO we are "paying" for the mistakes the developers made and because of this, I'll be surprised to see a DLC out before the beginning of May.

They've already said that won't happen, sadly.

The one thing I don't want them to do is rush things. Badness happens when they rush.

BE wasn't supposed to come out with patch 5. They just tested them together.

That feeling of emptiness after you finish the game is the worst, isn't it. I didn't get it the first time around because there was so much still that I wanted to try, different races, different love interests, different choices (this is the first game in the series where a major choice -in siding with the Templars or the mages- makes the game actually feel like you're playing through a whole different world); but now that I've played my main Inquisitor twice, played eight-nine other alternate Inquisitors, done everything I wanted to do and all that's left to try is the things I have no interest in doing anyway... it does feel pretty empty. I've been playing my Heroes of DA house over at the Sims 4 (!) to kill time and tide me over until hair mods and DLC for Inquisition are out, but lately I've even been considering starting a full Mass Effect playthrough all over again.

(!) Apropos of nothing, I just want to share my girls because their Sims versions are so cute :P

As for DLC news, the only solid thing we've heard is that they have started working on story DLC for the single-player campaign (multiplayer already has DLC out, and the Black Emporium is not story DLC, so it's not referring to that), but not when it'll be released. Worth keeping in mind the contract with XBox that the first DLC will be released a month earlier on the XBone than all the other platforms, too, so we'll still be waiting a while by the looks of it.

My only real concern about the delay of DLCs is that they're missing the best window of opportunity to sell DLC as the months go by. But this is a concern for their accountants, not for us, because the quality of BioWare's DLC has never suffered from being released late. Legacy was released quite late and was still top quality, and Citadel was released at the wrapping of work on the game, and it's still everyone's favorite. They'll be losing money the longer they take to release, but I'm not really worried that we'll be losing quality on our end.

Re: Flemeth, the change in scenery is dependent on Kieran's existence.

As for Solas, I think his plans diverge widely from Mythal's. Mythal seems to not care so much about the old world anymore, as evidenced by her challenge to Morrigan about upholding the magic of old. In contrast, Solas seems hellbent on bringing back the old world.

In my own personal belief, Solas is a villain. He gave the orb to the nut job Corypheus, and as a result a crap ton of people died when Cory opened it. Also, his plans, as of now, seem to be to bring back the elves of old, a very terrifying prospect.

He is much like Mordin who could also be seen as a villain. I honestly am just seeing so many parallels between the two and I'm loving it. I think Solas is obviously a grey character, but I don't know/think he is the main villain we have to fear.

OK....

Need a little help here please.

I'm looking for the directions of how to use MODs with Patch 5. I've Googled and went back several pages here to find them and nadda.

Anyways...

If someone can toss the instructions my way, that would be Cullen'tastic!

:D
