Recent DLC news...

Speaking of which, I wonder who has taken over writing Cassandra and Dorian, if they feature in the DLC at all, now that Gaider's moved on.

I'll be interesting to see who's actually taking over, but I think Mary would be perfect for Cassandra as she writes military types very well, and Sheryl's dry sarcasm would go great with Dorian.

He is much like Mordin who could also be seen as a villain. I honestly am just seeing so many parallels between the two and I'm loving it. I think Solas is obviously a grey character, but I don't know/think he is the main villain we have to fear.
...I'm not entirely sure if that's an accurate analogy, but to each their own.
I don't think Solas is necessarily grey. He is certainly a complex character, granted, but that alone does not make him grey, in my opinion.
Ergo, for me, Solas is a villain, but I will agree that he is not the final villain.

this happened to me too, with three versions of Agnes that all showed the same (lack of) progress. Once I resaved my endgame ( I actually just re watched the credits to make sure) and then I loaded the "current" playthrough world state into the Editable world states, I saw all the tiles show up.
So...quick question...I fooled around with the KEEP and all 49 of my characters are there (craziness). I have 5 Ciara's, and have no idea which one of them is the completionist playthrough because when I load them in, all of them have the same hidden tiles and non-hidden tiles. Does anyone who did a completionist playthrough actually get all their choices to show up when they import their character? Ugg, I wish they would tell you the level of the character...that would help immensely!!!

Good news is my new computer is running great. Bad news is SweetFx and my mods won't install.
Good times!
Owww.
Hope you get it working soon and can take great screenshots on the new beast.

They've already said that won't happen, sadly.
The one thing I don't want them to do is rush things. Badness happens when they rush.
Kissy-facing for ToP!

I sort of like how her hands hang in the air like that. Like "Oh Maker, this kiss is scrambling my brain." Nice touch, cinematic designers. ![]()

Yeah that is my goal, especially to take some nice screen shots of Cullen.
The thing is I followed the directions of the Mod thing to the letter, several times over and I load up a finish game and see my character in ugly, ugly Mum'Ra PJs. Then I test out the eyebrows in CC and all I see is the ones with the game, you know the caterpillars.
Husband and I have been trying to get SweetFX to work for the...what is now...a day at least. We see the SweetFX On/Off in game, but nothing changes. Its attached but not attached.
So frustrating.
I wanna take screenies of Cullen and his cinnamon buns on this new rig! Bah!\
***EDIT***
Well a small bit of good news, got the MODs working. Idiot me, put the folder in the wrong place. Now if I can get SweetFX to run...I'll be golden. Strange thing is, I never had this issue on my old computer, <scratches head>.

Something I find amusing - after watching that scene waaaay too many times
- is exactly where his eyes are focused when he first starts to go in for a kiss (before Jim blunders onto the scene). If you're playing an elf, from what I've seen on YouTube, he seems to be looking more-or-less directly into the PC's eyes. If you're playing a human, though, his gaze is basically laser-locked on Quizzie's lips the whole way in. Interesting ![]()

I always play a human. I like that he looks at her lips. ![]()

@ Cantina: I feel your pain. I had great trouble to make SweetFX work and it never worked as smoothly as it should. Have you checked out the Tips for taking better screenshots thread yet? There are some tutorials and workarounds posted in there.

Thank you!
I'll check it out. I just wish I knew what was causing the SweetFX ON/Off to be showing in the game, but not applying.

So, just to verify before I get myself in hot water, lol...
If you do Josephine's personal quest and you take the "personal" option for getting the counselor on your side, does it have any repercussions with Cullen in a romance? I let Leliana handle it on my Solasmance, and I'd like to mix it up this time...

OK....
Need a little help here please.
I'm looking for the directions of how to use MODs with Patch 5. I've Googled and went back several pages here to find them and nadda.
Anyways...
If someone can toss the instructions my way, that would be Cullen'tastic!
This is the process I followed and it works like a charm. It's a little bit different from the steps that others have posted, but it helps to ensure that you don't bork your saves if you choose to uninstall mods. Essentially it's adding the extra step of making sure that your modded patch is always the same version as the official patch:
- Navigate to the official patch (mine is in C:\Games\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\Update\Patch). Open up the patch in notepad and make note of the version # - should currently be version 6
- Make your new merged patch as always with the Mod Manager and save it to a new folder in the "Update" folder (example C:\Games\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\Update\New Folder)
- Change the name of your "Patch" folder (currently housing the official patch) to an alternate name, something like "PatchV"
- Change the extension of the official patch to .bak (example package.mft.bak). This will prevent the game from being conflicted with having two patches of the same version. If you need to re-patch your mods, just remove the .bak extension or the Mod Manager will crash.
- Change the name of your "New Folder" to "Patch" This will point the game to use the modded patch.
- In order to preserve your saves, you will now want to open up the modded patch and change the version number to match that of the official patch (in this case from 7 to 6). NOTE: If the merged patch you were using previously before this release was a higher number than 6 (I don't see why it would be) do not change it. If you do, then you will get an error in-game saying that your saves were created with a more recent version.
If you ever need to re-patch your mods, just delete the "Patch" folder (the one that should currently have the modded patch). Change the name of the "PatchV" folder (that houses the official patch) to "Patch," remove the .bak extension from the official patch and repeat the steps above.
I hope that helps!

Been playing with my Cullen warrior in GW2 some more. Can't do a new DAI playthrough b/c my laptop's too cluttered to run it nicely so this is how I've been getting my cully-fill

I'm here to buy more scar concealer...
I noticed people out there have already made characters named folks like Cassandra Pentaghast, Vivienne de Fer, Dorian Pavus, etc etc etc... Itching to make a guild called The Inquisition [INQ], just for us folks
More (actual) Cullen for top:

You can't get personal with the counselor if you are in a relationship. You can flirt with her, but then that is it. You cannot choose the option that would had allowed you to get personal with her.

Thanks, I thought that might be an issue. Ah, well, maybe I'll just let Leliana take care of the House of Repose again.

Yeppers! Are you aware of the cheat to complete operations with you just changing your computer's time? I do that all the time and it completes operations with a snap.

Yes, my daughter tipped me off about it. Makes things a lot more doable for me, lol.

@ninetozero, re:Mass Effect replay - I had the same thought after feeling the post DA:I emptiness and started up a new ME game. I lost interest after picking up Liara. I started thinking about all of the missions ahead and I dunno, just drifted. I may just start a new ME2 game since that never felt like a slog to me.

I don't think I could ever play through the 1st ME again simply because of the all the planet grinding. Thank goodness for that wonderful site that has tons of Mass Effect saves to choose from!

Huh? Why not start a fresh ME2 and just do the comic choices?
