@ninetozero, re:Mass Effect replay - I had the same thought after feeling the post DA:I emptiness and started up a new ME game. I lost interest after picking up Liara. I started thinking about all of the missions ahead and I dunno, just drifted. I may just start a new ME2 game since that never felt like a slog to me.
I actually love all the hard RPG elements in ME1, menial armor/weapon upgrading, planet grinding and fetch-questing and all.
So I don't mind all that. I'm actually looking forward to ME2 the least, it's my least favorite one in the series, and always felt like a bit of a slog to go through between 1 and 3 for me.
Anyway, I haven't touched ME at all since wrapping up my ME3 feels with Citadel, so it's been two years away from that universe for me. I think that's given me enough distance to come back fresh. I've also become a lot more ~daring~ in my roleplaying since the ole days of ME1, so there are things I can do in my recent games now that I wanna go back and try to do in that series too.
All that said, I'm considering a new ME run while at the same time updating all my mods for Skyrim, which I haven't touched in months too (since Bound by Flame and then Inquisition took over) but have recently been feeling an itch for, so... who knows.
The only thing I definitely do not feel like doing is playing Inquisition again right now. Bit burned out on the first half of the game (everything up to reaching Skyhold feels like such a draaaaag when you've done it a dozen times over), so I need to put some distance there too to be able to come back fresh when DLC comes out.
Huh? Why not start a fresh ME2 and just do the comic choices?
The comics don't account for the smaller choices and side quests that get reflected later in ME3 (like the Keep does for DA), so people starting from 2 tend to prefer downloading a completionist save of ME1 to get all the 1 callbacks later in 3 (assets, returning characters, etc). I know when I was burned out on 1 but wanted to try different scenarios on 2, I would use downloaded saves too because the thought of playing the whole first game all over again just to get a single different scene was... nope.
