60% done with the hair... unfortunately it will take a bit longer then expected...

I tried many times over and got close, but couldn't get the proportions quite 100%. Then I was looking through some selfies I had of me for reference and came across that one. Because that one is just a straight mugshot face (no smile, etc) I was easily able to compare that to the in-game CC. Basically what I did was make a face, take a screenshot, compare the two side-by-side and keep doing that til I got what I have. I'd say it took about 7ish hours, but not all at once.
That picture was taken in April 2014. I'll be 34 this May.
From the picture I had thought you are 29/30. And my birthday is in May, too
.

It's not that we are going anywhere
. And the hair looks really great so far
from what I can tell with my untrained eye. LOL.
Back to mourning now.

Two small points of interest from the romance panel:
1. Someone asked why NPCs don't initiate romances anymore and Weekes and Laidlaw basically said "because Anders", but Laidlaw pointed out this isn't about appeasing homophobes; a lot of gamers aren't there for the romances at all, regardless of gender. Weekes admitted that this does put them in a bit of a bind in terms of variety, and Laidlaw suggested one way around this might be to allow NPCs to initiate something once you've flirted with anyone, thereby indicating that the player is open to the idea of a romance.
2. Someone asked if Cullen would be poly and Weekes said that was a question for Brianne, but based on his interpretation of the character he wouldn't see him as "being interested in sharing." (Or "wanting to share" or something like that.)
Kind of a shame... if only because it cuts off an angle for different stories.
Anyways.. hi. I don't post in this thread often. Just amazed how big it is (+5000)

If you mean the first thing, I'm just pleased they seem to be looking at ways around it. If you mean the second, I think PW was emphasizing that he's not Cullen's writer and it's just his opinion. I share it, for reasons too long winded to type on my phone as I wait for the VO panel, but it shouldn't affect anyone's fanfic.Kind of a shame... if only because it cuts off an angle for different stories.

Yeah, I meant the first thing.
I like Laidlaw's workaround idea though.
Re: The Warden, I'm not saying that I necessarily wanted them to bring him/her back in a DLC, but I think the argument that it's impossible to recreate your Warden is debatable. You have the CC for one, and in Origins you pick a voice even though you only hear it in battle/exploration. If they allowed you to design the Warden and choose a voice, and also choose Sarcastic/diplomatic/aggressive personality combined with your Keep choices then it would get pretty damn close. There are also ways it can be done to have minimal dialogue, and we're only talking about one or two missions probably since it's not an expansion. I'm just saying it's not impossible like some people claim it is, but clearly they don't want to put the resources toward it. Sure there would be complainers but there are always complainers no matter what, and I think enough people would be pleased.
Having said all of that, I'm fine with it not happening and providing closure for DA:I events/characters/Inquisitor. I think Hawke's story is complete (don't throw things at me).
OT I wrote a silly Cullen smut piece, just wanted to give it a try and it was pretty fun to do after the Alistair/Cullen feels piece!

FURTHER EDIT since I'm still waiting to get in for PAX day 3: no Cullen news / insights from yesterday except that the forehead touch was particularly difficult to do. I'm still hoping there might be some DLC or ME4 news today given the very particular wording of all their "there will be no news" statements yesterday but even if not maybe there will be some interesting "making of" info from the romance panel today.
Keep us posted! I've been trying to find making of info and there isn't much, in general and romance specific.
I agree with Patrick's interpretation. I see Cullen as interested in keeping you all to himself.

I think kalalala got it too.
I honestly feel this was again something left open for interpretation. I've read a couple fics that were written very well and to me don't seem too far-fetched, depending on the IQ's personality. If someone wants to play that way, and head-canon part of Cullen's personality to suit, I don't think it goes against any facts the game has given us as official canon. Heck, I even adopted one of those fics (or at least that type of situation) as head-canon for one of my IQ's.
They are never going to confirm anything other than what was depicted in the vanilla game when it comes to romances, so if people ask them they are bound to be disappointed IMO. And even then they will add the huge disclaimer that they welcome people to interpret/head canon however they wish.
Yeah on one of his cheeks I believe... there's a mod to change it into another scar.
I'm using the scar mod, but it's not because I think the vein is ugly or anything (I hadn't even seen the vein there until the mod pointed it out) - it's just that I really really like scars, and the more Cullen has, the better.
Game limitations of generic baby-smooth skin textures aside, my headcanon is that Cullen is covered in scars from head to toe, from innoffensive teenie tiny cuts like that one on his cheek to long poorly scarred gashes across his chest and back and legs to big ugly full skin-melt burns from magical fire or lightning like mello used to draw on his shoulder. You don't go through Templar training, failed harrowings, a qunari invasion, two Circle rebellions and finally an all open-out war with just one measly scar strategically placed for optimal sexy factor to account for it.
If there was a way to mod his body to be covered in scars, I'd be all over that, too.
I saw this on Tumblr, can anyone verify that these are real quotes from Weekes at PAX East?
On the HoF returning:
Patrick Weekes:I don't think it's a good idea. The warden already had their story and it was awesome.
Patrick Weekes:And also, remember when you all said you wanted Hawke back? How are you feeling about that now, hm?
"I'm the ******* that made you choose between Hawke and Alistair."-Patrick Weekes (at PAX East)
I am more than fine with the HoF not returning. This isn't Mass Effect, after all. I have my own headcanon for her (and Loghain) and I think a lot of us do. I don't have any desire to see her or really even hear about her. The only thing that would make me reconsider is if there is a cure for the calling, but even then I don't think she'd actually need to be present in the story for that. Maybe a passing reference to her finding something significant that helped, but other than that, nah.

Also, leg hair. Preferably chest hair too. He really didn't need to get a full-body wax just for me. ![]()
Just because we won't see our wardens doesn't mean that they're not going to be used in some form. I can think of loads of reasons why they wouldn't bring back the warden physically, the main one being that it won't be our warden. The perks of a silent PC is that we can headcanon them behaving or sounding any way we wish. Every persons warden is going to be different and there is no way BW would be able to add the warden in game in such a way that would satisfy everyone though I can think of a few ways how it could be done to minimize peoples complaints. Don't give up hope yet about them never bringing back the warden, while it is highly unlikely things could change.Personally I don't mind if I never see my warden again, it would be nice just to round off her story but I'm happy if I can just keep on playing as my inquisitor for a while. I will mind however if they kill the warden off screen or kill them for no reason other than drama and fan tears.
I loved my Wardens, every one of them touched me in some way. I so loved Origins and story I was able to build in my head. And strangely enough I really don't want Bioware messing with my headcanon in a way. Too me since this is supposed to be a series based on a time period and not the story of an individual (Mass Effect) I think it's best to let the Warden ride off into the sunset (or rest in peace).
Also, leg hair. Preferably chest hair too. He really didn't need to get a full-body wax just for me.
I headcanon that all his body hair got blasted off by a mage at some point. Its the only thing I can do till some modders give my Cullen-doll some much-deserved leg and chest hair. ![]()
Just out of curiosity... would any of you like to test the hair as it is right now? And by that i mean after the cut scenes, it WILL revert back to its vanilla state, but im just curious if it will work for everyone? The hair is still being worked on im not gonna leave it in this state... so please let me know if u guys wanna test it
In regards to the Warden, I really believed right up until I played the game that he/she would make an appearance. I thought it would be something like...we do some mission with the wardens (like admanat) and you see a strange hooded figure in the battle and later, Leliiana talking to that hooded mystery person. Then some awe on some warden faces as he/she walks past them all and mounts a horse and rides off. The Leilana coming up and explaining that THAT was the HOF. I really think a little cameo like that would have been so powerful and better than the cameo via war table mission that we got. But oh well...
Part of me just wanted something small like that. Another part wants the writers to leave my warden the hell alone (cause of they murder-knife her I will SCREAM)! And another part wants a full DLC with warden and Alistair to settle the calling business once and for all. I am TORN!!! But in a way, tis good, cause I can handle whatever they decide to do.
Still...I want Alistair and warden to ride off into sunset untainted (as is my personal canon)...but I want to see it, damnit!! ![]()

I'd like resolution (I don't even care if the HOF makes a direct appearance, though I like your idea of the shadowy figure), but not if it means a Hawke-style ending...
I tend to fault Bioware when it comes to this “Warden Return” desire some players had/have. They keep telling us, “No to the Warden’s return,” yet, we turn around and look Hawke is in DAI. This then leads to some fans asking, “Well if Hawke can come back, why can’t my Warden?”
Then you have an off to the side plot-line that your Warden is off trying to seek out the cure for The Blight. Yet, Patrick stated “The Warden story is done.” If the Warden’s story is done why is he/she off trying to cure The Blight which leads to an obvious story plot? IF The Warden’s story is truly done, they he/she would be off with whomever their romance was in DAO sitting on a beach drinking margaritas and counting down the clock til the day it’s time to go into The Deep Roads. You cannot say something is done then continue to thread out more story with no player being able to interact with that story. That’s like dangling a piece of meat above a tiger and laughing because they cannot get it.
For me I do not want to see my Warden return. Hell, I did not want to see my Hawke return either. I was fine with their story being done. Yet, when (my) Hawke strolled into DAI, I was dumbfounded. I was and still am unsure if the developers swung the story around to involve Hawke just to be a jerk.
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy DA. I look forward to seeing what Patrick will bring to the franchise. However I don’t get all this back-peddling nonsense. It just leads to confusion and fueling fans with untold amounts of rage.
I just hope for the next DA game, my Inquisitor and Cullen don't end up being separating because one is off looking for snoz berries or whatever. ![]()

THIS is the problem I have. I feel like the calling is an important point of the whole story. I think it ties in with Mythal and the Dread Wolf and lyrium and the veil and all that. And i want a resolution to the calling more than anything else cause it is tied up so tightly with my warden.
The fact that something is happening at weisshupt and my warden is off trying to cure the calling...it just feels like they are setting us up for the DLC. But i TOTALLY get why some folks just want their warden left the hell alone (I felt that way too...aside from wanting a wee cameo...BEFORE they brought up the "cure the calling" storyline). Now, how can they NOT bring the warden back? It is a damned it they do damned if they don't situation, but they kinda wrote themselves into that hole. i am curious to see what will happen.
It is all very confusing.
Also, back on topic...I am VERY nervous about how the Cullen lyrium thing could play out in future DLC. If they bring Culley back as a drooling idiot or something...I will be done. Like seriously done! Kill Hawke all you want, but Cullen? NO NO NO!!! Let him and quizzie have their sunset ending...PLEASE!!!
I feel like they burn us a little when they bring folks back!!!
To be clear, I was there and 1. I am 99.9% sure he never said "the Warden's story is done", 2. The question he was answering was about playing as the Warden, which is a great deal different from hearing more about / interacting with the Warden, and 3. The impression I got from the whole thing was joking around. He was doing a "draw me like one of your French girls" pose on the couch the whole time FFS. I would not take this as final confirmation we won't hear about the end of the Warden's quest as so many people are taking it.I tend to fault Bioware when it comes to this “Warden Return” desire some players had/have. I can breathe again...
I would love to see my Warden and my Hawke together with their LIs, but if it is that or death...well I would be more than content with a simple codex that told us that the Warden and Alistair were ruling happily without the taint and that rumors of an heir is starting to go about. I would love to hear that Hawke and Anders are at peace and that Anders has found himself. I JUST WANT SOME KIND OF HAPPINESS! IS THAT REALLY TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR...LITERALLY WRITE THREE PARAGRAPHS IN A CODEX AND I WILL BE PLEASED! Lol.
