Here ya go:

[Inquisitor] Let's do something together.
[Inquisitor] I could use some fresh air. Could you?

[Cullen] [unknown plot condition (if slept together?)] Rooms in the Fereldan Circle were shared. Beval requested a transfer because apparently I talk in my sleep.
[Inquisitor] You do.

[Cullen] They didn't speak often, but Carver was always loyal.
[Cullen] [if Hawke is male] The recruits knew better than to insult his brother.
[Cullen] No one dared speak ill of his sister.

[Cullen] ...it would look bad if I had laughed in the middle of inspection. I bruised a rib hiding it.

[Cullen] ...but he kept talking. We all just looked at each other. The mages were as confused as I was.

[Cullen] I don't know what he'd done, but the bird was tangled in the jesses. I had to cut her loose.

[Cullen(Laughs.) Did you really? There must be more to it. What happened after that?

[Cullen] [if Cullen romance active] Honestly, I couldn't keep my eyes off you. But we'd only just met.

[Cullen] Does this one have a name? A fine bird like this deserves a name.

[Cullen] I've attended a few Harrowings. Even when everything goes well, they are nerve-wracking.

[Cullen] ...and then traveled by ship to Kirkwall. I'd lived in the middle of a lake. I thought I was prepared for sea travel...

[Cullen] [unknown plot condition] I didn't tell Leliana we were borrowing her bird. Chances are she knows anyway.

[Cullen] ...then says, "She's from Kirkwall," as if I would know her. Kirkwall's a big city. I didn't go around introducing myself to everyone.

[Cullen] If Varric writes a story about all this, do you think I'll be in it?

[Cullen] ...it doesn't matter if you have magical resistance or not. Getting singed by a fireball hurts.

I'm not sure if the audio is out there for all of these lines, so thought I'd share the files I extracted back in December: https://www.mediafir...58ke4aspwby12c2. "Let's do something together" is the paraphrased text for "I could use some fresh air. Could you?", so there's no audio for that line.

EDIT: The audio is in mp3 format.

Ooh, what program are you using to look at these? I saw these in the talk tables but didn't know of any way to organize them and see the conditionals like you've got there.
(And as a small contribution to the discussion, audio for the "bruised a rib" line: https://www.dropbox....ection.mp3?dl=0)

EDIT: Also, in response to your question about whether we've talked about them here or not, I posted something about them once and then deleted it a few minutes later -- it's possible you happened to skim by in the few minutes it was up. Or that we legit talked about these earlier and it's just yet another thing that's inexplicably impossible to find with BSN's search function.

I'm using the DAI Modding Tool, specifically version 1.26 from here. If you click Preview in the conversation's Asset Preview window, you'll see it like it appears in my screenshot. The conversation from my screenshot (in2_cullen_hub_1_main_i) is located here: Data > da3 > designcontent > conversations > inquisitionbase > secondbase > cullen > hub.

Awesome--never noticed the Preview thing; that will make digging around in there much more fun. And thanks for all the audio, too!! For some reason half of them come out garbled or silent in the Sound Explorer for me (including the clear must-have from this bunch).

No 15 & the ones about Little Brother make me cry

The tone he's using when he says no.15... kills me.

It's crazy to say this but from all Wardens & Inquisitors & Hawke, the only one (okay, twos) I really feel "related" to is actually both my Hawkes (the M!Hawke & F!Hawke). Carver was F!Hawke's little brother and I really feel him like a brother. Gosh, I miss him & his antiques & his whining. Actually Carver's an amazingly well written character...

Warden is epic, quizzy got Cullen, but it's Hawke I really feels connecting the most. He/She is just... personal. I mean it's rare to actually get a game when I literally pout when my virtual little brother whines & pick a fight (but still stand watching my back) & got scared that what I do in-game would get me a smack at the ears by Hawke's Mom.

Maybe you were supposed to be able to play chess with Cullen on demand for "hang time"?

It's really interesting how experiences differ. I agree that Carver is a well written character but my Hawke and Carver didn't get along at all. Carver was a bit more forgiving in the end but I never had the feeling that he would watch my Hawke's back. I always thought he rather wanted to put a dagger in it ;). I only played DA 2 once because the game was such a disappointed for me personally, but I think I will give it another try soon. This time I keep Bethany alive and try out some other choices.

And what? The Inquisitor being the board?

Naked Inquisitor laying on her tummy while Cullen moves a chest...I mean chess piece along her back.

Or it could be just straight-forward as Cullen wants to move his chest piece along the Inquisitor's board. ;)

I'd definitely recommend giving it another shot. I hated the game my first time around and didn't touch it again for almost a year, but when I finally went back, I found myself sort of enjoying it. And the DLC are great.

Ooh actually I feel the same. I HATED that whiny little runt the first time I got him on my very first DA2 PT. But to think about it, he really feels somehow like my little brother, not a "too perfect" character that's polished around the edges. He's rough, immature in some way & childish. I find it amazing to get realistically portrayed flaws in one character.

I have a little brother (that's rather a Carver when he was younger) with whom we got lots and lots and lots of bickering while growing up. Still, as much as that bickering still goes on, he's the one who stands to watch my back no matter what & I know I'll do the same. I got exactly the same feeling with Carver. Either way, he even abandon his duty as Warden to come joining you for a suicide mission, or he'll do the first "You Shall Not Pass" line (if made Templar) even before Cullen.

And he did grow up, especially if you managed to do the nightmare-mode Friendship path & makes him Warden (even though the more interesting is still Templar Path, with his You Shall Not Pass line). If my noses are correct, Carver will profess his profound hatred for his Big Sis/Bro but will always be the one who'll care the most & stand with him/her until the end.

Yep. That would be in true Bioware spirit... *Shakes fist at NWN 2 ending* :P Oh, I know that was Obsidian... But Bioware offered a lot of guidance and support to Obsidian for this and KotoR 2. *Shakes fist at KotoR 2 ending*

Carver becomes a completely different person in Acts 2/3 if you take the friendship path with him. His lines throughout the MotA and Legacy DLCs turn his relationship with Hawke into something really touching and endearing, specially if Carver is a Grey Warden and Hawke is female and diplomatic. The years and distance mellow them both out, and make them understand each other a lot better.

I totally keep Carver alive in my special snowflake headcanon, because I love his relationship with f!Hawke too much and can't stand losing it just because of my Hawke's class. Though I love f!Hawke's and Bethany's love/[complicated feelings] sister relationship too much to let go of it either, so... bah, Garrett can die in Lothering or something for the obligatory Hawke family tragedy laundry list. :P My babies both get to stay.

(If you keep Bethany this time around, by the way, you may want to let her go to the Circle, unless you have some strong narrative reason to make her join the Wardens. Just like Carver sounds much happier in the Wardens than in the Templars, Bethany sounds much happier in the Circle than in the Wardens. And having her in the Circle makes the ending all the more emotional, specially if you decide to side with the Templars in the end.)

I know what you mean. I couldn't stand Carver until I finally did a mage playthrough, and then I couldn't help but appreciate his textbook little overlooked brother syndrome. It was endearingly annoying. Annoyingly endearing? LOL

I'm loving now the notion of Cullen standing with arms crossed and just watching with an amused gleam in his eye as Carver gets into a fist fight with someone in the Gallows about Hawke.

That's not only your headcannon...

IIRC Varric-BW got a banter if you bring them to Storm Coast. Basically Varric was saying that Curly has a "special feeling" or something like that about sea travel. From his tone & context Cullen got real sick during the sea voyage...

Catching up so sorry if this is a repost, but I do have a screenie of this one, Varric is talking about the voyage from Kirkwall :)

Someday I'll give DA2 another chance. I felt like I messed up constantly - people would end up dead or hating me even though I thought I was doing the right thing. I just didn't love it enough to dive into a second playthrough. Like how do you even become friends with Carver? Do you have to take him into the Deep Roads? He was snarky to me until the very end.

Carver was perfection. He was annoying pest at times, but he'd always have my back in the end when we needed each other most. Joining the Wardens truly let him find a place where he could be happy. Though I felt terrible for condemning my brother to that hellish existence, I could be no prouder of the man that he has become.

Bethany in contrast did absolutely nothing for me. The character just felt absolutely dull.

That's the beauty of DA2: it's the story of an anti-hero. Basically it feels like wastching the events unfolding to a bad spiral even if Hawke do his/her best... Not all story must be an epic save-the-day one, we get warden & Quizzy for that...

Hawke's story is the best because of the friendships & family & the helplessness IMO... In storytelling POV this is a very interesting point to muse. The only thing that makes me stop my 3rd PT is KIRKWALL. Except for environment reuse (which is a major defect) the other thing is good... Well, there's no Cullen or Alistair so...

Yup, seconded this. I still love Beth however, but not as much as Carver. Overall, his character development is really really great.

What I really want to see is Cullen-Carver interaction... That'll be very interesting.

I have a feeling Cullen would punch him the moment he started to use an ounce of sass. He does not seem one for lip from his troops and his is a very disciplined commander. I personally felt nothing for Carver or Bethany. I found Bethany to be plain and Carver extremely predictable in his role. *shrugs* I loved everyone else.
