XD I wish I could be depressed about SweetFX not working rather than my family dog dying. At least that might get fixed/better. Death does not get fixed.
I'm so sorry! I've never a pet in my life but I could imagine the pain.. Stay strong!!

Hugs, I'm sorry to hear that. It's hard losing a furry/feathered family member.

I am so sorry hun. It is completely devastating to loose a family member. ![]()
<hugs to you>
That's the beauty of DA2: it's the story of an anti-hero. Basically it feels like wastching the events unfolding to a bad spiral even if Hawke do his/her best... Not all story must be an epic save-the-day one, we get warden & Quizzy for that...
Hawke's story is the best because of the friendships & family & the helplessness IMO... In storytelling POV this is a very interesting point to muse. The only thing that makes me stop my 3rd PT is KIRKWALL. Except for environment reuse (which is a major defect) the other thing is good... Well, there's no Cullen or Alistair so...
I didn't need it to be epic save the day, but it was just an inconsistent game as far as writing and character development. Some plot lines were stellar, some characters were great, others were just "meh". IMO of course. I didn't feel that way about the other two Dragon Age games, or Mass Effect (I'm only talking about story and characters, not game play mechanics).
I'm curious - those who like DA2 the best out of the three, was that your first Dragon Age game?
So sorry Zarro - pets are family. Hugs to you.
Alas, if I was to be upset that people don't like my favorites, I would spend my days in woe. Remember that I am a fan of Sebastian.
If you can get over as much vitriol and character hate as he gets on a good day, people finding your other faves dull or not is just a big shrug.
Anyway, I take no camps in this. Like I said in the other page, I'd rather kill an imaginary Garrett for ~the dramas~ so my Hawke can keep both her babies alive, because I love both of the twins too much and refuse to choose favorites between them. At the moment, Imaginary Garrett is watching mom and dad in the afterlife, while my Hawke travels the Anderfels with both Warden Carver and Circle Bethany in tow, plus her dumb Prince and her trusted mabari, and no one's fighting anymore because they're all big birds now, and everything's aaaaalright.
(former Enchanter Bethany sends her regards to former Knight-Commander Cullen, a draught for his migraines, best of luck with your saving the world thingy, thank you Inquisitor girlfriend again for saving my sister in that Fade mess, tell Varric that Sunshine said hi, xoxo)
You know my favorite characters are often controversial (Anders, Fenris, Viviene, Merrill, Cullen,Samson, Sarcastic Hawke.) If people don't like me for that than well tough luck!!!

Sarcastic Hawke is a God. Seriously the Inquisitor doesn't even compare to him.

Sarcastic Hawke as the Inquisitor would have been glorious... now that's someone who'd have a blast sentencing Florianne-in-a-box!
Omg I drew that first one last night.... *blushes and hides in the corner* geez you guys sure do watch those tags...
I think that'd be my ultimate dream couples cosplay. Quizzie and a boyfriend Cullen.
It's a really nice drawing! I didn't realise it was from one of us. ![]()
What is the latest time I can lock in romance with Cullen without loosing romance content?
I wish we could have met Bethany/Carver, either during the warden subplot or the mage/templar subplot.
This would've been very cool but maybe they thought it was too much Hawke action. There's already the potential to lose one. Can you imagine if they both ate it? ![]()

My first intro to Bioware is Dragon Age Origin, Human Noble. It's one of my favourite Origin until the very end (along with City Elf) due to all the context, esp. with Howe. Never played Mass Effect, I'm not much into Sci-Fi actually... (except Star Wars & Michael Crichtons... and FIREFLIES! if that counts?).
Well TBH I'm not counting DA2 > DA:O, I love DA:O the best even until now. I love DA:I up to the point when we get to Skyhold on the same level of DA:O but afterwards well... it's a pretty game at least. But no matter how much I love DA:O or DA:I & don't like environment re-use of DA2, I love Hawke & companions a lot. Hawke's still my favourite PC. Maybe because he/she is the only one whom everyone refers with her/his name. Family name, but still name (or Brother or Sister). That's something, personally I don't like being called Warden or Inquisitor... It seems so cold, so distant, so impersonal.

I HATE Sebastian for sole reason that I really want him but stupid game GOT BUGGED. I can't have most scenes with him so I only get another archer + few banters. URGH.
It'd be nice to say "Oohh I romanced all three Chantry Boys"!
... I can't even do it... Seb's convo is all bugged.
[Cullen] [if Cullen romance active] Honestly, I couldn't keep my eyes off you. But we'd only just met
Do you realize what this means???? Cullen liked my quizzie almost as soon as he laid eyes on her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yippeee!!!! ![]()
In regards to DA2, my favorite playthrough was with the sisters. I am a huge Jane Austen fan, and all I could think was Eleanor and Marianne. It was very well done! I personally was not a huge fan of Carver cause I have a little brother, and he always has my back and vice versa. BUT, I DID like the little brother dynamic between the 2 boys (male Hawke and Carver).
I never played Sebastian!!! That was the only DLC I did not get!!! I should get it and replay because I see alot of stuff about him...he apparently had a strong effect on people, if nothing else.
ALSO - Hope you feel better Zarro!! I tried to find a good gif to cheer you up, but all I found were a bunch of creepy ones! New territory for me!!! ![]()
Wait...I found one!!

*Cough* I'm more of Lizzy & Jane fans, haven't read Sense & Sensibility yet... *cough* and well, Darcy in a wet shirt after swimming in a pond *cough*
I only do 2 PTs on DA2 however, Big Sis Marian - Little Bro Carvie & Big Bro Garett - Little Sis Beth. Yet to try Two Sisters or Two Brothers dynamique. Which one is more interesting in your opinion?
Sebastian is... fascinating... I saw a few videos & THAT ACCENT! OMG. And that face...

BBC did a remake of a bunch of Jane Austen books from like 2008-2010. Their 3-part Sense and Sensibility was perfection. Plus...you get wet tee-shirt Edward in that. While it is no Mr. Darcy lake scene, it...suffices... ![]()
I am convinced. Gonna get the Sebastian DLC and give DA2 another playthrough...as soon as I am finished with KOTOR.

Hehe actually first I saw the Pride & Prejudice with Keira Knightley and then the BBC one with Collin Firth. Suffice to say I love the BBC version much more. Then I read the book & actually love it.
*cough if there's another "dive in pond" scene followed by guys in wet shirt I'm in! Here I comes Sense & Sensibility!* Just hope that there won't be anyone like Heathcliffe from Bronte's.
Have a sloth!

And a Cullen!

My first DA game was Inquisition, then i played Origin > DAII.
I really like DA2 for the history of Hawke and co, but like people said too many copy/paste area. I liked the friend/rivality system, we can see different view of the compagnon
it was great.
And i hate Sebastian lol. He's too much "chantry here, chantry there, maker did this and whatever" ![]()
XD I wish I could be depressed about SweetFX not working rather than my family dog dying. At least that might get fixed/better. Death does not get fixed.
I am so sorry for your loss.
I know all too well how that feels. I had to take my fur baby to the vet yesterday for an ingrown toenail. He's an old tomcat now. I worry over him a lot.

I agree. Strangely I rarely call him by his real name. I call him "Seabass" instead, ![]()
