Please, let's not start on denigrating characters from the games; remember there are people out there who like all of them or at least find them fascinating, even the villains.

yes, let's get back to the Cullen love, instead of the other character hate please.

Yup. I'd say I'll obsess over Seb if ever that damned DLC does not bug so much...

EDIT: whoever write any Cullen fanfic about him swimming in a pond & getting out with a white wet shirt à la Colin Firth in Pride & Prejudice, (or any artwork really) please tell me...

I must have missed something. :o

I don't give two figs who likes who. Hey if someone likes a character that is their prerogative.

And mmmm Cullen.....<drools>

What is the latest time I can lock in romance with Cullen without loosing romance content?

As far as I know after The Abyss or Wicked Hearts and before you do What Pride Has Wrought.

Never wait that long, so don't take my word for it.

No, I have an Nvidia 980 card.

I had it working on my old computer. Then I moved to this one.

I've gotten to the point to where I see Sweetfx On/Off in the game but nothing changes. Thus I am stumped.

Wow, nice card, I get an impression why you call your pc "the beast".

There are same threads about this issue - it seems there are more people affected by this. Maybe a driver thing? But even if you don't have an AMD card you could try it, maybe it helps. I had the same effect with the message sweetfx on/off appearing in the game and no effect visiable and it helped putting the sweetfx folder in the radeon pro folder.

Since he says "we", I've been wondering if the reason he borrows it so much is that he and the Inquisitor are using it to send messages back and forth while she's in the field.

Oh this is a good explanation and it makes totally sense and I like it really much :)

I just wanted to stop in and say thank you all for your condolences and thoughts. It's so sweet and everyone of them has made me smile. I'm much better today and just busying myself with other things.

It seems that February/March has not been very good to a lot of us.

*shivers* if viv became my divine I'd have to go back to previous saves and start all over. Just keep saying circles are baaaad and you should be goooood :D softened lelianna is relatively easy to get I think. I did it being clueless and just being sweet as pie...like nauseatingly sweet...like syrup on white chocolate on pecan pie sweet...

I was really thinking about repeating my playthrough with my mage Trev from several save points earlier and to not recruit Vivienne. I conscripted the mages and I saw in the dragon age wiki that this gives her massive points for becoming divine. But I really don't want her as divine. On the other hand a flirt option is missing without Vivienne because I don't think Cullens line about getting used to be disliked by mages wouldn't fire without her because it was related to her behaviour.

Hmh, difficult decision... I decided to play a different char until I am able to decide this :)

Waaaaaaait...what's this like about being disliked by mages?! I don't remember having that or any Viv related dialogue with him:( so like if I don't run to him after conversations with others, am I missing stuff?

I've been inclined to not recruit viv during my 3rd pt. I have her in my 2nd to see what would happen if I gave her a fake heart, but if this leads to brownie points for her being divine, I might just recruit her and bench her. I dont mind her at all, she just has never fit my head cannon of characters, so I'm totally not hating, just.... molding things the way I like 'em ;)

I know I am late because I am still working through the posts but I wanted to say that I am so sorry about your loss. I grew up with a dog too - he was part of the family. I know it is a hard time but I am glad you are feeling better.

It should still be easy to not get Divine Viv if you recruit her. She does get 10 points when you conscript the mages, but you can lose them all if Celene dies and you put Briala in power, (not to mention it loses points for Divine Cass). Allying with the Grey Wardens also leads to losing Viv and Cass points, and really, after that, most of the Viv points you can get are in the conversations you have with her and other people. And Leliana ultimately has priority over Cass, so it should be a piece of cake.

At one point after you recruit Vivienne and you talk to Cullen (i think it's under the Anything I Should Know?), he says something like "Vivienne doesn't seem to like me very much, but I'm used to not being liked by mages" (paraphrasing).  Then you can respond with a flirt "Well, I like you". Then he says "Um, thank you."

I don't have a screenshot right know but I can get it later, he says:

"I'd gotten used to mages disliking me on principle. Vivienne's views on templars are ... surprisingly traditional". As a mage you have a flirt option and can tell him: "I never disliked you on principle" and he replies "oh, um, thank you".

It is not that I hate her but I don't like the way she talks with my Inquisitor and how she always act if she knows everything better. And her "circle are great" rhetorik - the circles did not work and it is easy for her to say everything is great in a circle when she was not even really living there but had many freedoms compared to other mages.

I think I try it but I can't really let Celene die - I always reunite her with Briala. But I plan to ally with the wardens so this might help.

Alright, thanks. I don't feel like there has been enough build-up with romance yet, might be cause Cullen isn't party member so he feels like distant cute templar you have flirted couple times and might have shot with.. but not someone to start relationship out of blue. Jumping at the moment to relationship with him wouldn't just feel right story and character-wise so I'm going to drag it a bit.

I wondered at that. And the no surprise tattoo, so was she going to try to tattoo people in secret?

I noticed that too but I wondered how this should even work. How can you even give someone a suprise tattoo? Maybe she just meant painting the skin without needle? Maybe while Cullen is sleeping? Because with a needle would hurt and wouldn't be a surprise for long...

I'm not sure if the audio is out there for all of these lines, so thought I'd share the files I extracted back in December: https://www.mediafir...58ke4aspwby12c2. "Let's do something together" is the paraphrased text for "I could use some fresh air. Could you?", so there's no audio for that line.

EDIT: The audio is in mp3 format.

I'm using the DAI Modding Tool, specifically version 1.26 from here. If you click Preview in the conversation's Asset Preview window, you'll see it like it appears in my screenshot. The conversation from my screenshot (in2_cullen_hub_1_main_i) is located here: Data > da3 > designcontent > conversations > inquisitionbase > secondbase > cullen > hub.

Thank you so much!

Ah okay. Either way there, you gain Vivienne points. You gain less if you have Gaspard executed, but you also lose one Leliana point. But really, so long as you talk smack about the Chantry, particularly to Leliana, and support her on the War Table, you should get her. Oh and bear in mind becoming the Inquisitor 'for vengeance' loses you 5 Viv points and nets you 1 Leliana point.

Interesting, I didn't get that flirt option after that line with either of my Dalish, including the mage romancing him. Wonder if that's a bug or a human mage only flirt.

Just noticed this on Cullen's wiki page.

As with all other romanceable characters, if the inquisitor romances Cullen, two Orlesian nobles in the throne room will comment on the romance at each progression.

Does anyone know what's said? For Cullen and any other LI?

Decided to give Bioware a wiki search to see just how many of their games I've played. NWN was the first and I was surprised to learn that NWN2 was Atari and not Bioware. I have the ME games on steam but haven't played them yet. SWToR I played for a year or so. And now Inquisition. Played Origins but not 2. NWN was such a good game though it would be so awesome if they remade it. But I'm tempted to say Inquisition has been my favorite so far. I'll have to replay origins though.

Just popping in!  Highly recommend ME series as female shepherd...some total female badassery going on in that game!!! Just note that the first game is a bit of a grind with horrible inventory management, but totally worth it to get into the series (and I personally like driving around the planets in my little Mako). My favorite games of all time, in order, are DAO, ME2, and ME3 (cause I LOVE story driven games).  I am lucky that I played ME3 years after it was released, cause from what I heard, the ending was a catastrophe until Bioware fixed it.

I want to try NWN next (playing KOTOR now).  I also considered Jade Empire, but have heard mixed reviews...

So, Cullen related...I was just wondering from you guys who play the multiplayer...is there any reference to Cullen in the MP?  I remember way back when...how one of the characters says something about how Cullen smells like oakmoss and something...

I was just curious if there were any other good Cullen tidbits in the MP world.  Am considering getting headset and giving it a try and was hoping for some more Culleny goodness!! :P

I can't quote the exact lines, but with Cullen, it's a comment about noble names and a somewhat racey comment. With Solas, they just kind of dismiss it as no one interesting (if only they knew). I haven't heard yet for Blackwall or Cass.
