For those of you that would like to give the "restored" dialogue a try, here's a daimod for you: https://www.mediafir...iwl9y6miabh6cp9

IMPORTANT NOTES

- This mod requires the latest patch (Patch 6 according to Mod Manager).

- Currently replaces the "Did you leave anyone behind in Kirkwall?" flirt for male and non-elven/human Inquisitors. The flirt will no longer show up. Sorry!

- Not entirely sure what the two plot conditions are that this option requires to become available. Seems to first show up after telling Cullen to either (a.) stay off of lyrium, (b.) stop taking lyrium when at the Blacksmith's later, or (c.) that you'll find another way.

- This mod modifies the in2_cullen_hub_1_main_i conversation file and will conflict with other mods that make changes to this file. Mods that make changes to this file will most likely be bi-Cullen mods, but I'd be willing to make changes to get it working with a bi-Cullen mod.

- I have not extensively tested this, so USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. I can't guarantee that this won't, for some reason, mess things up. For instance, I haven't been able to test this with a male Inquisitor yet (I don't have one), to see if replacing the "Did you leave anyone behind in Kirkwall?" flirt would cause any issues.

I've included the above notes in a Read Me with the download. Please let me know if you run into any issues with this, since it hasn't been tested very much. Have fun! :D

EDIT: I'm going to add that you should probably use version 0.48 of the Mod Manager for this, since that's the one I used.

Alright, thanks. I don't feel like there has been enough build-up with romance yet, might be cause Cullen isn't party member so he feels like distant cute templar you have flirted couple times and might have shot with.. but not someone to start relationship out of blue. Jumping at the moment to relationship with him wouldn't just feel right story and character-wise so I'm going to drag it a bit.

Actually, there are a few things for you to pay attention to when romancing Cullen.

1) If you want to face his lyrium withdrawal together as a couple, you should start his romance before completing any main missions (wicked eye, Abyss). If you want to deal with it as a friend, you can start the romance after either wicked eye or abyss.

2) If you want to dance with him (a romance content), you should start his romance before wicked eye mission.

3) If you want the 'what if I am possessed' flirt (if you are a mage), you should start his romance before going to the ritual tower in Western Approach.

4) If you want to flirt with him before the little field trip to the temple of dumat, be sure to start the romance before it.

Heh, I'm trying to get Cassandra to not be Divine this playthrough.  My current character is going to pursue her romance.  I wanted to make Leliana Divine with the conscripted mages, so I have to be careful after losing 10 points from that.

Be careful when Cass confronts you with your flirts, you have to super assertive (the top convo option). Or else, you would be stuck in an awkward situation with her: she would not admit she is in a relationship with you ('there is no us!' - Cass) and she would not join you at the balcony at end-game. But you can break up with her and she sometimes acts like she is in a relationship with the IQ when he flirts with her...

I thought it would be funny to say 'If you are bothered, then I won't pursue you anymore' but apparently it is not funny at all... :(

Oh, Cullen...

In lieu of a better place, I'll just imagine these talks talking place on one of the Inquisitor's balconies. And his arm around her... *sigh*

Yeah, I figured that would happen eventually, especially since I don't have a Tumblr and was bound to become Random BSN Person That Stops Getting Credited. Ah, well, it's the internet. What are you going to do? If it helps, I was aware this would happen and am not too bothered by it. :)

The default directions I've always read in regards to using SFX via RadeonPro is to have it located in the RadeonPro folder.

I honestly don't think it could be a card issue - the 980 isn't all that different from the 780ti and I didn't have any issues getting it to work. I've had weird things happen where things somehow got borked and RadeonPro wouldn't work til I did a repair install on the game. I'm wondering if it's something oddball like that.

I thought about running "Repair" on DAI. However I am bit hesitant to do so considering from what I was told you'll have to reinstall your Mods. And since Patch five was released and all the hoops you need to do to get your MODs attached to the game is a big old headache.

Part of the reason I switched from Xbox One to PC was because I wanted to use MODs; especially ones for better hair and the ugly Mum'Ra PJs.

OK... I *may* have made a point of crediting you. Just once. But... all the context of what you found also has been lost. Folks are even transcribing the lines by ear. *sigh* I'm glad you're not bothered. :D

Aw, thank you! :D Yeah, I saw people trying to transcribe the dialogue, and then making mistakes without the help of the plot conditionals mentioned in my post. Like thinking the "The recruits knew better than to insult his brother" and "No one dared speak ill of his sister" lines were referring to Carver and Bethany, not Hawke like they actually are. Sometimes lurking on Tumblr does lead to amusement.

I thought about running "Repair" on DAI. However I am bit hesitant to do so considering from what I was told you'll have to reinstall your Mods. And since Patch five was released and all the hoops you need to do to get your MODs attached to the game is a big old headache.

You would have to reinstall your mods, but it's really not that big a deal to get them working with the latest patch. There's just a couple added small steps. With using RadeonPro and SRWE, I've had to repair my install about three times so far when something doesn't jive right and corrupts the game.

This is the process I followed and it works like a charm. It's a little bit different from the steps that others have posted, but it helps to ensure that you don't bork your saves if you choose to uninstall mods. Essentially it's adding the extra step of making sure that your modded patch is always the same version as the official patch:

  • Navigate to the official patch (mine is in C:\Games\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\Update\Patch). Open up the patch in notepad and make note of the version # - should currently be version 6
  • Make your new merged patch as always with the Mod Manager and save it to a new folder in the "Update" folder (example C:\Games\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\Update\New Folder)
  • Change the name of your "Patch" folder (currently housing the official patch) to an alternate name, something like "PatchV"
  • Change the extension of the official patch to .bak (example package.mft.bak). This will prevent the game from being conflicted with having two patches of the same version. If you need to re-patch your mods, just remove the .bak extension or the Mod Manager will crash.
  • Change the name of your "New Folder" to "Patch" This will point the game to use the modded patch.
  • In order to preserve your saves, you will now want to open up the modded patch and change the version number to match that of the official patch (in this case from 7 to 6). NOTE: If the merged patch you were using previously before this release was a higher number than 6 (I don't see why it would be) do not change it. If you do, then you will get an error in-game saying that your saves were created with a more recent version.

If you ever need to re-patch your mods, just delete the "Patch" folder (the one that should currently have the modded patch). Change the name of the "PatchV" folder (that houses the official patch) to "Patch," remove the .bak extension from the official patch and repeat the steps above.

This is a "tweaked for Patch 5" version of the method fontofnothing originally showed me.

Mods are great. That's why I switched from XB360 to PC to play skyrim. But my computer can't run DAI and I don't think I will buy a new one anytime soon, so... I just hope they will put back these dialogues in game in later patches or DLCs...

Ah, thanks that's very informative :) Actually I have been already in temple of dumat, but I won't go to those other quests before romance then.

Cullen had missing audio???!

Looks like it. If you missed my earlier posts, here you go:

Here ya go:

[Inquisitor] Let's do something together.
[Inquisitor] I could use some fresh air. Could you?

[Cullen] [unknown plot condition (if slept together?)] Rooms in the Fereldan Circle were shared. Beval requested a transfer because apparently I talk in my sleep.
[Inquisitor] You do.

[Cullen] They didn't speak often, but Carver was always loyal.
[Cullen] [if Hawke is male] The recruits knew better than to insult his brother.
[Cullen] No one dared speak ill of his sister.

[Cullen] ...it would look bad if I had laughed in the middle of inspection. I bruised a rib hiding it.

[Cullen] ...but he kept talking. We all just looked at each other. The mages were as confused as I was.

[Cullen] I don't know what he'd done, but the bird was tangled in the jesses. I had to cut her loose.

[Cullen(Laughs.) Did you really? There must be more to it. What happened after that?

[Cullen] [if Cullen romance active] Honestly, I couldn't keep my eyes off you. But we'd only just met.

[Cullen] Does this one have a name? A fine bird like this deserves a name.

[Cullen] I've attended a few Harrowings. Even when everything goes well, they are nerve-wracking.

[Cullen] ...and then traveled by ship to Kirkwall. I'd lived in the middle of a lake. I thought I was prepared for sea travel...

[Cullen] [unknown plot condition] I didn't tell Leliana we were borrowing her bird. Chances are she knows anyway.

[Cullen] ...then says, "She's from Kirkwall," as if I would know her. Kirkwall's a big city. I didn't go around introducing myself to everyone.

[Cullen] If Varric writes a story about all this, do you think I'll be in it?

[Cullen] ...it doesn't matter if you have magical resistance or not. Getting singed by a fireball hurts.

I'm not sure if the audio is out there for all of these lines, so thought I'd share the files I extracted back in December: https://www.mediafir...58ke4aspwby12c2"Let's do something together" is the paraphrased text for "I could use some fresh air. Could you?", so there's no audio for that line.

EDIT: The audio is in mp3 format.

And if you're on PC, I made a thing:

I was just talking with a friend and do we know 100% that Cullen isn’t of noble birth? We were talking about what the orlesian nobles in the great hall say when your quizzie is romancing him. Now what they say makes sense if your quizzie is a Trevelyan, not so much if they’re a Lavellan. Unless of course Cullen is nobility.

I know he says that he holds no land or titles outside the inquisition but in theory he could come from a noble family but had to give up all claims and titles when he joined the templar order. Mages have to give it all up for obvious reasons and given that in some war table missions in DAI, sending a noble off to become a chantry sister/brother seemingly ends any political disputes tied to them, which makes me think that you give up everything when you swear yourself to the chantry.
