HAS NO ONE SEEN THIS CODEX ENTRY BEFORE?!?!?!?

And as I walked in the desert, I saw a great armored figure whose form blotted out the sky. At first I took it to be no more than met the eye, a simple spiked statue, but as I approached, this deceptive icon transformed into a warrior as graceful as it was massive, its bladed staff leveled at me with energy crackling from its tip. Though my position was hardly optimal (primal magic burned a few feet from my face), I kept my wits and asked this mighty golem to show me mercy.
The armored figure spoke with a voice to make the sky quake and the stars scream. It sought magic to keep itself alive, it said, and the blood of the earth was the energy on which it survived. Having knowledge of the dwarves and the lyrium they provided to our mages, I directed the golem to the mage Atronis, who lived in nearby Perivantium, and it left without another word.
That is the inspiration for the gate guardians I have designed, as fanciful a tale as it might seem. As for why I have asked that each guardian cast from my designs be inset with a small lyrium rod, I must primarily state that it is mere fancy. If Archon Ishal, gentle autocrat that he is, sees fit to ensure that my statues are known across the empire—I hear that one shall stand in the Western Approach—I would treasure the small hope that someday, I might see one walk again.
—A tale told by Appius Trius, famed sculptor whose creations all sparked the imagination of those who beheld them, from Artists of Ancient Tevinter
Yes.
But I seem to be missing what is exciting about it. ![]()
How can there be Golem in the western approach? I always thought Golems were the dwarves' creation, hence underground??
What's everyone's opinions regarding the templar/mage choice during Cullen's romance? It's annoying because there's good stuff in each, I really wish they expanded on this choice but ah well. The Mage side was the weaker quest-line IMO but gave you a Cullen specific side mission afterwards. I loved the Envy demon and how you meet cole but you miss out on more Cullen content if you pick the Templar side.
Still can't make my mind up, I'm gonna play my mage again but I'm gonna tweak my choices next time. She believes that there needs to be some sort of circle system in place but agrees it needs to be a better place for mages.

Oh!
It could be Shale. She was in Orlais during Asunder. ![]()
Well sadly after several days and Mel's help SweetFx refuses to install on "The Beast." Thus I am to take drastic measures....and revert to Windows 7. I will have my SweetFX!!!!
Oh and uh the Cullen pics are spiffy!
Not sure what you tried, but I was having the same problem. I took out the contents of the sweetfx folder and put them directly into the base inquisition folder and that seemed to do the trick. I am on windows 8.1

OK.
Big question is: this an injector into the game or an injector into Radeon? Cause I use the RadeonPro way. ![]()

IMO...
Mage side is better. The Templar side just does not seem all that "urgent." Not to mention I cannot leave poor Connor, Rhys and Evangeline in Alexius's hands.
The best part is: you can do Cullen's story get one of the best romance lines in the game. ![]()
So I have been playing around with making my own site for my fan fiction, game related art, my custom game dolls I make. I am still working on it, but would love to get some feedback from all of you if you don't mind. The site is http://www.eternalamor.com/
Also, I am working on a new Cullen/Lavellan story if anyone is interested http://archiveofouro...g/works/3529358
And my first Cullen/Hawke one. I really am not sure if I am really doing Hawke justice. All I ever play is a Male Hawke (I so love his voice! and since all DA2 LI go both ways) and really am not sure how to make her feel right. So please give feedback, I would love to hear it, good, bad and ugly http://archiveofouro...hapters/7526330
And finally, I don't remember who wanted me to update them when I had a new chapter to my extremely NSFW Cullen Smut story, so will just link it here. http://archiveofouro...g/series/224789
So how is everyone's night, day or whatever time it is there, going? I am debating if I should play some more DA or work on some new Cullen and Alistair art....choices....

Gigantic sentient metallic creatures upon which Tevinter juggernauts were based, leagues beyond dwarven automata.Yes.

I am totally confused.
I am using an Nivida 980 card with Windows 8.1 and DX 11.2. I installed Radeon Pro with Bo-something 1.5 SweetFX Injector into RadeonPro, download a preset and attached to DA.EXE.
I get the SweetFX On/Off in game, but nothing applies.
My husband tried it on his computer, which is the same as mine just a different video card. Within five minutes his was working. As for mine, we have tried everything and nothing works. Which is peeving us both off because we cannot figure out as to why.
I've seen it and thought it was quite interesting. At first I went, "Oh, must've been a golem," but then I reread the entry and wasn't so sure. It sounds a lot bigger than the golems we've encountered, plus it needs lyrium to keep itself alive. Hmmmm. ![]()

Weird it works on one and not the other. Did you put the preset in your radeonpro folder? or just the DAI folder?

Preset is in the RadenPro folder, replacing the the previous Settings.TXT. Nothing with SweetFX is in the C:/ Program (86)/Origin Games/Dragon Age Inquisition section.

Quite. I'm thinking that it was these creatures from which dwarves drew their designs for golems.

Strange. I'm using it without the radeonpro, just straight forward insert in dai folder and go, and I thought that was giving me a lot of hassel. I know how frustrating it is, drives me nuts when I know something should work and it doesn't, hope you get it sorted soon.

If you are injecting SFX via RadeonPro, it should not be in your DAI folder. You need a special SFX injector to work with Win 8.1 and not use RadeonPro as the injector. I haven't been able to get that special injector to work to my liking, so I prefer to use RadeonPro as you have much more control.
Cantina has the process down right, especially if her hubby was able to get it to work on his rig. There's something about her game or her rig that is causing the hiccough.
@Cantina - have you tried a different SFX injector for gits and shiggles? Just find another one to download and try that one via RadeonPro instead of the one I originally linked for you. You can still use the same SweetFX_Settings.txt file thought. I have one I could give you, but I don't know how to host it.

LOL!
I replaced the default Settings.txt that was in Bol (whatever the name is) with every preset on that page you sent me too,
So I thought I give the ones on Nexus a try again-nope.
Thing is I was reading and these people could be full of butter nuts but they said that 1.5 Bol (whatever) is one of the only injectors to work with Windows 8.1. However people say there are some hiccups with it. I on the other-hand did not hit a hiccup...I hit a damn mountain.
Be nice to get this running. I really want to take Cullen shots on this new PC. ![]()

I wonder if lyrium was really the energy the creature seeked, blood of the earth, hmm... It may sound silly but blood is red, yet lyrium is blue. And lyrium veins are mostly underground so why would it came to the surface to find some??

Depends on what works best for your character. If you feel strongly that one choice or the other (or the other, or the other) suits your PC better, then that's the right choice for you.
I still go with the Templars for my canon, because I feel that the alliance with the Templars is the basis for my Inquisitor's entire character arc, the most basic principle that guides her personality and storyline. Changing that would change the very core of her character and break the story I built for her (dynamics of her relationship with Cullen included), so I'm willing to compromise and let go of Cullen's nemesis quest for the integrity of my character. I don't personally feel that her romance with Cullen suffers at all from it, though YMMV on that. For me, it's a choice of priorities: switching to mage side just for Cullen's quest would be pure metagaming because it doesn't fit my Inquisitor at all, so I chose to let go of the extra Cullen content because I've decided my Inquisitor's story is the central point of my playthrough, and it should be molded by her in-universe choices, not the fourth wall-ish poor writing decision to gate romance content by faction.
So I'd say, go with what feels right for you and your character. If it means you lose a couple of conversations with Cullen in gameplay terms, alas. It's not your fault as the player that this content was gated from you by such an unfair standard. You can always headcanon that the Samson arc happened concurrently with Calpernia's for your Inquisitor and both of those stories happened in her tale, anyway.

No clue. But I feel like it might come back to this:
“The Stone lives beneath Orlais. Mathas gar na fornen pa salroka atrast."
