 I replaced the default Settings.txt that was in Bol (whatever the name is) with every preset on that page you sent me too,

 

So I thought I give the ones on Nexus a try again-nope.

 

Thing is I was reading and these people could be full of butter nuts but they said that 1.5 Bol (whatever) is one of the only injectors to work with Windows 8.1. However people say there are some hiccups with it. I on the other-hand did not hit a hiccup...I hit a damn mountain.

 

Be nice to get this running. I really want to take Cullen shots on this new PC.

 

You only need the special injector for Win 8.1 if you don't want to use SFX with RadeonPro. With that injector you can just drag n' drop it into DAI's executable folder. If you want to use RadeonPro (which I prefer for screenshots since you can customize your screenshot button as well as where the files get saved and hear a nice click click sound when you're getting the shots) you don't need the special injector. 

 

I really wish we could figure out what the problem is. I honestly thought repairing the game's install would work. You obviously have the process down correctly if your hubby was able to get it running. Does he have Win 8.1 on his system?

IMO...

 

Mage side is better. The Templar side just does not seem all that "urgent." Not to mention I cannot leave poor Connor, Rhys and Evangeline in Alexius's hands.

 

The best part is: you can do Cullen's story get one of the best romance lines in the game.

I've seen it. There's been speculation, on the dwarf thread a couple of months ago, I think, that it may refer to a titan (which we know almost nothing about except they're mentioned at some point.)

Yeah, they always survive the war. Only difference is who writes the letter, and of course, the focus of it.

 

Connor can't be helped either way; regardless of who you side with, he always disappears from Redcliffe without a trace of what may have happened to him. It's just as plausible that he peaced out from the rebellion and went under hiding with Teagan before things got bad at Redcliffe through one path as through the other.

Just chiming in on the golem stuff...that statues in the western approach look nothing like the Shale (ie, dwarven golems).  I wonder if it is just the word the guy used to describe the creature, but not actually what it was?  Maybe?

What's everyone's opinions regarding the templar/mage choice during Cullen's romance? It's annoying because there's good stuff in each, I really wish they expanded on this choice but ah well. The Mage side was the weaker quest-line IMO but gave you a Cullen specific side mission afterwards. I loved the Envy demon and how you meet cole but you miss out on more Cullen content if you pick the Templar side.

 

Still can't make my mind up, I'm gonna play my mage again but I'm gonna tweak my choices next time. She believes that there needs to be some sort of circle system in place but agrees it needs to be a better place for mages.

 

My cannon is to choose the Mages. The way I see it is, if the Mages from the circle are all there, then there would be children (some could be very young even toddler) and elders and such right along with them. When my Quizzy sees all these children and knows they are in the hands of a Magister, she/he can not walk away. To do so would be monstrous.

 

I love the Templar one and I really like how Cole is a part of it too. Playing through it once helped me like Cole's character as previously to that I didn't care for him. I like at the end when you find out many Templars follow Cullen's lead and stop the lyrium too, but I just can't do it.

 

While I am not one of those who blur the line between real world and game world, I think my background influences this. I worked in law enforcement and with kids in the schools, domestic violence and as a guardian ad litem too and I saw way to many kids who were to small to get away from people hurting them, some of what I saw made me almost hate the human race for a long time and took me a bit to get back to normal me. Anyway, I think because of all that is why I always cannon as mentioned above.

 

Anyway, thats my reasoning on why I always choose that.

 

Of course having more convo's with Cullen and actually I do like the Samson quest better...*talk to Cullen more* and it seems just a better and more interesting...*Cullen* and oh who am I kidding, you get to talk more to him more and actually get him in one mission too....*oooo Cullen* besides ask Varric, its the one reason we are all playing the game right???

Thank you! I guess the information I read was incorrect. But still poor Connor. In the end though it is up to personal preference on who's side to choose. I personally think its stupid to choose either the Mages or the Templars. I mean your are at war, I think gaining as much help as possible would be the ideal solution.

 

Can you imagine back in DAO if you could only choose between aiding the dwarves or elves!?!? <shakes head> I think the choice in DAI is more of a plot push then anything else.

I'm not entirely sure on that front. I don't think they had actual lyrium. The way they are described on the Wiki, it seemed as if Meredith used her abilities with the sword to "insert" lyrium into the statues to give them life.

Regarding the feedback, I'm not a graphic designer but neverthelss I believe that I can give some input. Once in a while I write articles for a website and our team discussed a redesign of our website last year. So I spoke with a graphic designer and learned a bit about layouts and design. That's not much but it's a start. I'll write you a pm.
