My hope for a DLC is that Cullen, Morrigan, Leliana and my Quizzy investigate Solas's disappearance.....

I think if they know what's good for them, there'll definitely be a Wolf Hunt and a Citadel. In fact, I think I read recently that they want to do something addressing the epilogue sooner rather than later.

I hope so! The Solas romance is amazingly popular, considering how little actual content there is (not even the kiss on demand, my solasmancer went almost 70 hours of gameplay between the 2nd kiss and her dance at the end of WE/WH.) Which is one of the reasons I'm glad I do simultaneous, staggered PTs. When I get depressed that I can't get Solas to talk to me about anything except Cory, I load up my Cullen or Blackwall PTs. ;)

OK Cullen thread, got a fun question for ya!

I have always loved Fereleden...whenever I get poetic or I want to write in the Dragon age universe, I feel like a Ferelden.  I put on my tunic and lambswool, reach down and pet my trusted mabari, and dust the dried mud from my leather boots.  I look out my window and see a grey sky hinting at rain and I smile. I have to get to the tavern soon, and I plan to drink until I am singing. I am Ferelden to the bone (but my momma was Rivani...so I,of course, have a hidden  necklace under my tunic that was blessed by a seer). :P

But I wonder. what about the rest of you?  Are there some Free Marchers out there, who love freedom and independence above all?  Or some Orlesians, who love the game and all its subtleties?  Or perhaps a few Rivanis or Antivans?  Any Qunari?

So my question is, which place calls to you?  Where would you live? Which flags decorated your hall?  Where are you and Cully going on vacation?

Also...do you guys think this would be a fun question for the BSN page?  It makes me nervous to post anything...out there...

EDIT - OK..I did it...I hope people are nice!

Hmmmm.... This is a real toughie for me.
I absolutely love politics  all the subtleties and intricacies of the Game are right up my street but it seems like quite a superficial way to live, and quite lonely. Ferelden is lovely, and the Mabari are a big draw too but in the same way I look at my native England it is a bit quiet and insular.
I think I probably identify with the Marchers most. They've got a real hodgepodge of people and customs, and they are fiercely independent. Outsiders with enough in common to fit in with any of the neighbouring countries. It's a nice perspective to write from, I think but then again I quite like to write from an outsider perspective.

If they want to spend an entire DLC on Solas, so be it. But they should at least give some more interactions with the other party members/other romances. My one caveat with Witch Hunt was the lack of interactions with our romances and other party members. Hell, Morrigan stole the entire spotlight. I'm gonna be severely disappointed if they pull that crap with "Wolf Hunt", cause not everyone cares about Solas that much.

I agree.
I'd quite like them to couch it very differently from Witch Hunt- instead of the party setting off to find Solas, have the party go off to investigate some odd occurrences which sets off a series of events that eventually lead to Solas. Have him be the end of the search rather than the direct object/cause.

Pretty much. The only purpose Solas serves, for me, is as a means to discover more about the ancient elven world, nothing more. If we find him at the end of the DLC, doing whatever the hell it is that he's doing, then so be it.

That was one of my biggest issues with Origins' DLC - none of the old companions around (except Oghren <_<) and the LIs vanishing nearly into thin air. Well, Morrigan vanished into her mirror, I guess. The second game was much better at keeping your old gang around in DLC, which made it much more enjoyable for me. Hopefully Inquisition follows along in that vein.

Oh I quite liked him, but I much prefer more inclusive DLC where all types of players get something worthwhile from it. Witch Hunt was a massive disappointment for me; Morrigan had a strop at my femCousland for supposedly not doing the DR (bit of a bug there) and then swanned off into the mirror. I honestly wasnt sure what the point was. I'd learnt next to nothing about my companions and been yelled at so all in all it left me a bit miffed.

Also- I've decided today that Bioware don't love fan tears quite as much as they pretend to. All the LI's that plan on doing something terrible to you with the exception of Alistair make a point of telling you that romancing them is a bad idea. Anders, Solas and Blackwall all tell you so. Blackwall says several times that it isn't going to end well.

I'm not sure why it took me so long to realise this  I think my future plan is to never assume that a BW character is playing hard to get.

Don't Merrill and Isabela try to warn you off at one point too? And then there's Fenris and his "You must sleep with me but then I won't talk to you for three years"... :pinched:

No, I'm not bitter.

I love Fenris  I make a point of playing Legacy after that point so I can get his apologetic dialogue. Although once that backfired on me because I got some kind romance bug and had to hear about his liasons with Isabela instead

Oh, I like Fenris. He's my go-to when I get the "I really should romance someone other than Sebastian this time" feels. But headcanon is required for him. A lot of headcanon.

I'm still salty that a romanced (alive) warden Alistair doesn't make an appearance in Awakenings.  Not only that but your HoF can still flirt with everyone she meets. Unless there was a bug with my character import.

Maybe the big cameo we got from Warden Alistair in Inquisition was their way of making up for his absence in Awakening? I like to think so.

Fenris had some issues, to be fair. Considering he had been sexually abused, I get that he probably needed some time to adjust to his feelings for you. Granted, my Hawke spent 3 years sexually frustrated till Fenris came around.

Probably! Didn't he also get pretty equal time in DA2 - Warden, King or drunken mess?

Dear God, I got that one too. I remember turning around and getting ready to fry Fenris's sexy ass for daring to say that to my face.

He has the privilege of being with the HoF, unlike any of the other potential LI's (as far as I know).

I'm suspicious the DLC will conclude with the consequence of the Well and whoever you allied/conscripted.  Wardens and Templars hear "songs" and elves now have Mythal appearing in their dreams.  This is bad no matter who you sided with, Fiona as unofficial mage leader is an elf and susceptible and the Templars will still hear the song even after they've stopped taking lyrium, and only Cullen may have the willpower to resist should it start becoming more insistant.  The city elves/Celene still have the eluvian even if Briala is dead or exiled, and the Wardens have already proven themselves to be a liability.  If anything it sounds like Mythal is trying to build an army in order to finish whatever she began years ago, and the Inquisitor will either be her enabler or an obstacle to be removed depending on whether they drank or not.

And yet, everyone else gets screen time. Morrigan, Leliana, and Alistair have enormous roles in Inquistion, whereas Zevran gets squat. Granted, they may have had to pay Jon Curry extra money to do Zevran as well as the Inquisitor.

True, they all have their moments in DA2, don't they? There's Merrill's blood magic, Isabela and the tome, and Fenris and his relationship trauma. A frustrating if fascinating set of possibilities. Though I think only Anders may drop a bigger bomb on you than Blackwall or Solas (Solas and Anders may be a toss-up, actually, lol.)

Though honestly, Isabela makes it clear who she is from the beginning, and if you take her at face value, you're not going to be surprised or disappointed, imo.

Oh, I like Fenris. He's my go-to when I get the "I really should romance someone other than Sebastian this time" feels. But headcanon is required for him. A lot of headcanon.

I like Fenris a lot (fascinating character), but his romance just wouldn't suit the kind of PCs I normally play; he needed a lot of patience and imo a lot more help healing than they'd have had. Actually, Isabela was the only one any of mine might have been enthusiastic about, even though I found all of them fascinating and well-done characters. But I (and my PCs) have little patience with drama, lol.

But where's my Zevran?

:crying:

Here, here! I need his smirk and his smile and his voice...
