LOL!

Oh man.... my side hurts from laughing.

You have to use your deepest perverted nature. :P

Think of Cullen nude.

Now add in a nude laying Inquisitor on the table...

I'll just leave it there for the rest of your imagination to go wild.

LOL!

Actually I don't know whether I should worry because I spend too much time with you perverted minded people or because don't spend enough time on smuts (-_-")

I stilllove you guys anyway :D

Hello girls :) For now I am sobbing at Alistair's Knees ( still playing DAO for the first time ) but Cullen won my heart since i was an apprentice in the Circle long time ago :) After screwing DAO end because i didn't wanted spoilers , now i remedy that because i don't want to go in DAI crying over my choices .

LMAO Cullen the shy templar who ran away at my approach in the Circle changed into the man who throws you on the desk and shows you what a man can do .... certainly the Kirkwall vacation served him well :XD

Blah, but the love scene is poor !! i mean really?? Even Alistair showed more stuff to my mage in the vanilla DAO . Modders go to work because when i will start playing DAI i want something more than a desk :P

And the first kiss scene ?? Epic! Cullen's face at the poor messenger ( " if you don't want to die better ran, NOW!")

Welcome!!!

Yeah, I have no interest in a triangle with the Warden either. For me, done  is done. But I'm interested in her existence as a former crush for the first time to provide flavor for his background. Someone who knew him before, compared to who he is "now" since my Cullen is a bit more... damaged. And he will eventually need more allies outside Hawke's little circle. Dun. Dun. Dun! :)

I just have to figure out what the heck she's been doing. I mean... the Warden Commander was also off investigating ways of conquering the Taint, right??

And, I love the notion of templars as partners instead of jailers, where you get your own personal templar to keep you safe. ;) not that I've ever used that idea before...  :bandit:

Yessssssss!!! Fools errand! Bring it on mwahahaha

*snicker* the first fanfic to really suck me in used the idea of a personal templar, and it may have involved a Warden, Zevran, and Cullen...

Ooo, that's an intriguing hint! Are you bringing back an Amell who's Alistair's mistress or involved with someone else, or is that giving away too much?

It's hard to suggest anything without knowing the context of her reappearance, but you could have her cut someone off if they try to ask about the cure and just say she doesn't want to talk about it or "grey warden business, sorry," and leave it open as to whether she found one or not. ;)  That's not doable in a romance, of course, since whether or not she's still tainted is going to matter to the person she romances which is why I'm a little reluctant to tackle the Surana reappearance.

Aw, man, that's a good point. Hmm. In the Fool's Errand universe, Warden Commander Amell went her separate way after a break up with King Alistair, who married a non-wardeny Elissa Cousland babymaker.  Hmm. TBH, I'm not a huge DAO fan... (*dodges tomatoes*) so I haven't really thought about her much yet. Maybe I will just handwave her Very Important Grey Warden StuffTM she's been up to.

What do you mean by "N" settings?

Nvidia :D

Nvidia :D

Oh, this is what I have via NVIDIA:

Antisotropic Filter - 16x

AA Gamma Correction - On

AA Mode - Enhance Application Setting

AA Setting - 8x

AA Transparency - 2x supersample

Single display performance mode

Power Management - Prefer Maximum Performance

Texture Filtering Negative LOD bias - Clamp

Texture Filtering - High Quality

I also have all in-game settings on max including Post Processing and 4x MSAA, as well as additional SMAA via RadeonPro. I don't like jaggies.  :D

I tend to play around with the NVIDIA settings quite a bit. Sometimes I'll increase the AA transparency to 4x supersample, but that seems to really eat fps in areas like the Emerald Graves and I don't like to see my fps drop much below 45.

Oddly enough, I just upgraded from a 23" LCD to 27" LED monitor (still 1080p) and I'm "overclocking" it to 75Hz - it seems to help the game along a bit. Another huge help is going off-line via Origin.

I think we already knew that I liked DAO better than DA2 while you preferred them the other way around, lol. Which makes the fact I love reading your Hawke/Cullen stories so much kind of funny (but a compliment :P )

I think there's no reason for her to talk about her success or lack of it and exactly what she was doing to anyone (except possibly Alistair), at least until she can talk to the other Wardens, especially if she succeeded and its repeatable (and if it's not repeatable, there's every reason for her to avoid them.) And even though Cullen would know about the Calling now because of the Wardens, there's still no reason for him to ask her personal questions (especially if she's not necessarily that friendly toward him or rebuffs the question.) Unless they've been in contact since she last saw him at the end of Broken Circle, she could reasonably been assuming he was hostile all these years. If she took his verbal rebuff while he was held prisoner seriously (my Surana didn't because he'd clearly been tortured,) an apology isn't going to instantly bring them to to being chummy either.

Hopefully that makes sense

Welcome to DAO :) have you played DA2 yet? I am so jealous that you're playing DAO for the first time! I wish I wish I wish I could forget it completely so I can fall in love with it like it's brand new again! Alistair's romance is just so mushy sweet...

My Cullen infatuation is relatively new (like a year?) But I played DAO and DA2 recently and am enraptured by him! Makes me wonder how I overlooked him the first times I played  I blame alistair's face and fenris' voice :P but he does have a wonderful first kiss, best yet!! 10 years, the man knows what he wants ;)

Not yet, not even the Awakening because of 2 reasons : First playtrough I said no spoilers, nothing so jumped in and made my mage ( my boyfriend says I am a nature's fury literally lol, I always play mages in MMos ) at the Landsmeet i have made Alistair king only to stare 2 seconds later at the cut scene where Al comes in and says that we have to end it ... my heart was bleeding :(

I didn't even started the final battle because upset i went on youtube to see what's going on and i got the combo Glyph of Paralysis + Glyph of Warding for real. The possible end was terrible . I deleted all the Landsmeet and started again this time finally making Alistair warden...

Now i am at the second play with my Cousland . The only thing ..Deep Roads and Orzammar missions..ugh.

Cullen won my mage's heart too. I have the awesome mod that allows your mage to kiss him.  I still think it's the best kiss in that game.

She romanced Zervan...you know to help get over Cullen.  And I loved that romance.  What a great game Origins is.

Bah you guys are bad influences lol. And a thought just occurred to me, the question I probably should've asked first. What do you guys do about the world states your stories take place in? Do you not reference it at all or include a blip or something in the beginning?

Thank you.

I have everything set-up to the same stats you use in Radeon, just Nvidia was a puzzle. Yeah I never run Origin in game, even when I was playing Sims 3. Its bad enough I have to go through Origin to play some of these games I enjoy. BTW: Thanks E.A. <rolls eyes>.

I don't pay too much attention to my FPS. If I am not lagging and the game does feel too tight while my character is walking, I am good.

The Beast certainly does extremely well. If I put these same settings on my old rig, it probably would burn-out or blow-up....maybe both. :P

*********

As for DAO.

My Mage thought it was amusing Cullen had feelings for her. She however never had them for him. Just friendship. She felt he was to awkward and felt the same if they did have a relationship.

I generally avoid DA2 in my story, mostly because (as R2 and I were teasing each other) I'm not really a fan and don't think I could do most of the characters justice, though even then Carver the Templar does get mentioned by Cullen once, which establishes that Hawke is a mage and he joined the Templars. However, there are references to my DAO worldstate in my story occasionally. King Alistair is mentioned in passing, so obviously he became king in this worldstate. My warden has been mentioned, by name, and he may be again since he did the DR and went through the Eluvian with Morrigan. There may be other mentions eventually, but honestly, the story is mostly about Cullen and Lavellan, with no reason for anyone except possibly Leliana to mention someone except Alistair or the Warden. I can see someone providing background at the beginning, but it only makes sense to me if there's some need for that information in the story. When I mention characters from other stories, it's been for story reasons - I wanted my Inquisitor to receive mabari puppies, and who made more sense as a giver than King Alistair? I should probably mention that my story IQ has no connection to an actual PT - I haven't even created a Lavellan rogue yet except as a CC experiment that I deleted.

 I think you just mention certain facts when/if they're relevant.  I mean, who runs Orzammar has never been nor likely will be ever relevant to any of my stories, but the King of Ferelden sometimes is, so you bring it up when it matters. Like when the ball your hero is going to crash is being thrown by the King of Ferelden to honor the birth of his son, and how you're surprised he had a kid because he's a Grey Warden. :P

Those are all good points. I think you're right. Realistically, I don't know that it will matter much. Especially since the "I was trying to cure the Taint" is already such a handwavey explanation. I think all I need is something that sounds Important. Thanks!
