OK, someone has confirmed that the elf with vallaslin from the promo images for the achievements has vallaslin for Dirthamen, elven god of secrets.

Also, I believe Flemeth was one such thing as well.

Yeah, Andraste and Flemeth are the big two connections we have with the Avvar. Hopefully, we'll get some Flemeth in this DLC. (It could be our last chance after all! ) Or maybe given all the big revelations we've had in DAI, we might get confirmation Andraste was a mage after all. It's not like we don't now have a precedent for a major Avvar warrior woman also being a mage with Tyrdda Bright-Axe.

Maybe partially joking here maybe not, but  Flemeth was betrayed by a man, Mythal was betrayed and murdered (I'm guessing by a man) and went to Flemeth, Andraste was betrayed by a man and murdered, the weird cult at Haven believed Andraste returned as a high dragon, Flemeth can shapeshift into a highdragon. 

Could Andraste's spirit have sought Flemeth out like Mythal's did or Flemeth sought her out and has had both their souls all this time. Maybe given their link to all being betrayed by men drew them together like beacons.

This is true, she is already learning things she thought she knew weren't the way she thought they were. I guess having Corypheus reiterating that the markings were slave markings give credence to what Solas has told her. Whoa yeah but talk about a head****! Falling in love with an ancient elven god, but not any ancient elven god but the 'bad' one. LOL I'm guessing that's something she's not taking home to tell the rest of the clan.

Before the Flemythal reveal, it was one of the biggest theories (and my own) that Flemeth was Andraste. Considering Andraste was born in ancient times and Flemeth at the start of the Towers Age, it's possible Andraste was one of just many hosts.

 

Then again, wasn't Andraste betrayed towards the end of her life? Whereas it was really the beginning of Flemeth's story when she was betrayed. If Mythal's channelling my favouritest Vengeance demon ever and playing the patron saint of scorned women, she can't have had much impact on Andraste before she was executed.

Flemeth was also connected to Highever: Connobar was lord of Highever (not sure what his rank was.) Cousland was his captain of the guard or something, survived whatever Flemeth did and claimed Highever from the Howes, and eventually the family became powerful enough that they were teryns with the Howes in fealty to them.

There's been LOTS of speculation about Flemeth=Andraste. Personally, I find it too convenient an answer. Like how everyone was a famous person in a past life.   But then... it's a fictional world, where we only meet extraordinary people, not the usual distribution of regular folk. :shrug: Maybe they ARE all related. 

 

(and I'll point out my own hypocrisy that I somehow still like the Solas=Shartan idea Probably because I want to see him pop up throughout history, do his mysterious Ronin thing, tip his hat, and ride off into the sunset to save the next two-horse town)

I've thought for quite a while that there are parallels between Andraste' and Flemeth's stories. First, a love triangle with two men (counting the Maker as a man.) Music - Andraste was supposed to sing beautifully (attracting the Maker's attention,) and Flemeth was married to a bard (in Leliana's version, she was wooed away from her husband by his beautiful music.) And betrayal of the woman by one of the men, though in one case the woman is killed and in the other, the  second man in the triangle is killed. You even have vengeance: Flemeth's spirit ally (Mythal?) helped her kill Connobar and his men in revenge. The Maker helped force Tevinter to allow most of their territory to break away by bringing famine to them (and according to some of the lore we find, her husband met his end at the hands of one of his sons, I think.)

I would say yes, that hair isn't pretty enough for an npc....flat drab PC hair
