Oh that line? Yeah. It is a romance line. Basically, it said like "I don't know how to explain to Cullen that you fell to your death from the trees".

 

Oh yeah, just to back this up: I took a quick minute to start the DLC and run around the trees with Dorian in the party to check for this line on my Blackwall-romancing Inquisitor. The banter triggered, the lines went the same about not looking down/already did/try not to fall, but Dorian never said the last part about telling Cullen on this IQ. Looks like it's really a romance-specific line.

It was about us needing to lock our door and try not to make so much noise. Cass got a little flustered.

Ummm, you could load a save from right before the final battle and choose Solas, no?

Yes, but it's still not the same. For some reason... I thought it would be like Legacy and altho you played after endgame... it would take you  back before anyone left -- but without you having to roll back your character into the past. Silly, I realize now. But unexpectedly disappointing nonetheless.

Well it doesn't sound that compelling, really.  So I think I'll sit it out for a while, it takes a fair bit for me to tolerate my Quizzy's crap hair these days.

I actually ended up enjoying it, despite the lack of Cullen and rather high cost. Also, I may have laughed out loud at a certain part at the end:

I chose the wrong response and didn't get the Cullen comment.  Ended up going back to an earlier save after finishing just to hear it.

These new icons got me nostaligic for ME...so spent all evening playing ME3 with a paragon male Shephard. Gah! I still love Urdnot Rex and Garrus sooooooooo much!!!I can't wait for ME4!!!

 

Also, posted a couple of new chapters in the massive DAO fic, if anyone is interested.  Still no smut...but someday, it will happen...if I get courageous enough to actually post it.   But one chapter has Cullen in it (it is the mage's tower scene from the original game - Chapter title "Demon", if you just want a dose of Cullen).  But...warning...the scene is...a bit different than what happens in the game and Cullen is not portrayed in a nice way at all (don't hate me!!).  I figure it is only fair, since I plan to one day post the sappy-ass Ciara-Cullen fic where he fabulous!!

 

I think I am gonna wait on the DLC from the feedback I have seen on here (although the new armor looks lovely!!!).  Maybe I'll get it when another one comes out. It is just such a huge game and I wanna wait till they release something really meaty before going back in for another 120+ hours.

Staring contest, naked Cullen, reciting herbs, and two dorks being comfortable with each other.

“You can blink anytime, you know.” Her voice is musical, bubbling out of her even as her heart flutters in her chest. All because the man with the golden eyes is so very close to her.

She tells herself the whole reason why she challenged him to this juvenile staring contest was to keep herself from ogling his bare skin. That thought alone is enough to light a fire under her cheeks and soon the blush spreads like wildfire

She breathes a small curse and tries to focus on the intensity of his gaze. Or the individual hairs in his eyebrows. Sometimes she would study how those dark circles seemed a bit lighter than last time.

Cullen takes all of this in stride, or at least that’s what he tells himself. He’s intent on winning this competition of theirs, even though they never decided what the winner would get. If he’s honest with himself, he enjoys having the opportunity to be here with her like this.

“Not a chance.” His lips curve up into a grin, confidence oozing into every word. But the woman with the captivating eyes and the bright smile was so very good at disturbing his calm in the best possible way.

He is surprised at how she is able to take him out of himself and separate him from his past with the simplest of gestures. The embarrassment of sitting on a stool…naked…across from the most beautiful woman he has ever seen is almost non-existent. That is until his mind begins messing with the words “naked” and “the most beautiful woman”, turning it into “the most beautiful woman…naked under him”.

“Oh Maker…” He groans and bites the inside of his mouth. But it’s too late. The thought of her under him is enough to make the heat spread up to his cheeks and other places he cannot afford to think about right now.

“Are you having a hard time, Commander?” There’s still mirth in her voice but she’s struggling as well. One of her eyebrows arch up as she wiggles her nose in an attempt to keep herself from blinking. It’s not an attractive look, at least in her opinion, but he finds it to be oddly adorable.

“Not at all. It’s alright if you need to rest those pretty eyes of yours, Inquisitor.”

There’s a momentary pause on her part and he’s concerned that those words have disturbed the moment. He’s about to issue an apology, something…anything to fix it.

“Are you resorting to flattery now?” There’s a laugh in her voice and her eyebrow arches a bit more.

 Yet her smile is brighter and he feels the warmth of it from across the table. It’s enough to make his smile grow in response. He’s about to answer when he feels the feeling of her fingers brushing up against his for a brief moment.

He gulps and tries to prevent the oncoming blink. His heart feels as if it flying around in his chest and his tongue feels heavier for some reason. He taps the fingers of his free hand on his kneecap- trying to find a steady, soothing beat to counter the chaos in his chest.

But yes, I do agree that is definitely NOT worth a 15$ price. That seriously irritates me. Perhaps I'd be more forgiving if we actually had some new banter and character interactions, but nope.

 

 

I wish! It's $25 in Aus, cause you know there's so much handling & distributing when you downloaded it in Aus *sigh*

Say, is the DLC worth it? I'm not sure I'm going to buy it finally. Many people told me that it's OK but not super great. Like, Return to Ostagar is OK for me, Legacy is mind blowing.

Depends on your definition of "worth it" and how much U$15 means to you (I mean, to some people it's pocket change, to some it's food for the week). I'm having fun with the new area, have sunk about eight-nine hours into and not even reached the middle point of the story, the higher level enemies are a fun combat challenge, and there's so much lore everywhere about things I particularly care about, so I'd say it was worth my 15 bucks to get me back into and excited about a game I was a bit fatigued of. It reminds me a lot of Skyrim's Dragonborn, in many senses. If one is expecting a lot of game-changing story directly connected to the basegame main quest, or new companion/romance interactions, though, then maybe it's not your thing.

 

It's a bit like Warden's Keep or Mark of the Assassin, I think. Not super relevant to the base MQ, but full of interesting lore, and ultimately part of the larger world of your character. Whether you'll like it will depend on your expectations for it more than the quality of the DLC itself. Now that they're selling for cash instead of BioPoints, it could be worth picking up at a discount on an Origin sale later, if you're not sure about it right now.

I downloaded the DLC as soon as it came out but havent played it yet I've actually been running around collecting shards instead. I'm ashamed of myself.
