So in essence, don't open any Rhiannon saves on Patch 6 if I want to be able to open them on Patch 5 again. I would have thought Windows would get all confuzzled having a game installed twice. I'll have to give it a shot! Rhiannon is still only level 17 so I have a bit to go!

 

You can play her saves with Patch 6, just don't make any new ones. Saves made before Patch 6 will stay okay, but saves made with Patch 6 installed won't be accessible without Patch 6.

 

It's not installed twice, just once. The Dragon Age Inquisition folder is the only install that Origin and Windows know of, that's why folders need to be renamed to Dragon Age Inquisition to make it the active version, and why the renamed versions (" - Patch 5" and " - Patch 6") aren't acknowledged. The renamed folders are copies, not proper installs.

Well I'm in the process of going back to Patch 5.

 

As much as I would like to play the DLC lack of MODs is something I just cannot do. Those eyebrows on my character, scared me. Not to mention the horrible Mum'Ra PJs.

 

IF the DLC had oodles of Cullen in it, I'd happy suck it up and live without. But it is not so I shall wait. <twiddles thumbs>.

I've gotten royale sea silk from venatori enemies in the Hissing Wastes. Regarding the dlc, I think I'll skip this one. No new Cullen content and the rest seems underwhelming too.

I have been reading this thread on my phone for a while but . . . holy mother of God!  I'm on p. 133 on my phone and decided to check the forums on here and it started at the end.  I had NO idea there would be 5,190 pages!!!  Of course, it's Cullen so it all makes sense actually.  I'm a firm believer that if someone doesn't love dogs or Cullen Rutherford, there is something seriously wrong with them.  Sorry, both are SO lovable and sweet!  (ok not all dogs, but Cullen is pretty much perfect!    My God they did an amazing job with him--sexy voice, sweet personality, amazing romance, sexy everything else, LOL!)
 
I don't know that I will be able to read all 5,190 pages, honestly--OMG.  I may have to cut my losses and start reading from page 5,000 or something.
 
Anyway, I'm Stephanie and it's nice to meet you all!  I have enjoyed reading the posts and was surprised by how many people speculating before the game came out got the details right.

And... there are still lots of reasons for folks not to like Cullen. Just something to be aware of so you're not blindsided. Every pendulum swings back.

I love the way he says "He's toothless. There's no need to turn him into a martyr just because he runs his mouth."

There's a distinct entonation change when he says "mouth" in that line.

And it's just really manly, really badass.

They did give him a number of badass moments in DA:I.

Not saying we inspired his writer but I think we may have inspired the writer, a bit.   Table scene (check), grab and kiss her(check) CULLY WULLY (check). It's so nice to have a slightly tailored romance.

 

Speaking of kissing, that first kiss scene on the battlements. I love how quickly Cullen switches....soft and gentle and unsure when speaking to inq, then wham authoritative and Commander-ey to poor Jim, then back to soft and unsure.

I won't recommend reading 5K pages but you'll see awesome stuffs at Milestone pages (3000, 4000, 5000 etc)

All I got in Emprise was Dales Loden Wool, sigh. I've pretty much cleared Emerald Graves on my Dalish warrior, and only really have the keep left in Emprise, not a single piece of the royal sea silk (I just looked). I'm actually having a problem on my mage getting enough materials to make higher level armors because I tend to get tons of one or two kinds of cloth and almost none of some others. Since I have two mages in both my mage's party and my rogue's party, it's particularly a problem. If it weren't for the snofleurs, my rogue would have problems too. BTW, I highly recommend Blackwall, Dorian, and Viv in the same party if you like companions who snipe at each other. Ouch!

 

I haven't gotten this mission yet, interesting. I wonder what triggers it because I would desperately love to be able to get something besides herbs and metals from missions.

Also, playing ME2 again and just realized...Dr. Chakwas has the most beautiful eyes!!  Greenish blue, but more green than blue....gah...I need an artist to tell me the color. Anyway, I want to try to get that color on my next quizzy...

There is this scout when Leliana is setting up her guys for the Arbor Wilds, has the most stunning blue eyes, for the life of me I can't recreate them. looks simple enough but ugh can't get it just right. But they are beautiful.

I can get obsessed with eye color, depending on the type of character I'm trying to play. Rhiannon's eyes look either blue or grey, depending on the lighting. I have another character who has eyes that are either blue or green depending on the light, almost like a storm at sea. My feral Dalish archer has eyes that look like a panther's, yellow and black/brown.

LOL All this talk of eyecolor reminds me of my experience playing DA:O when it first came out on a non-optimal PC. I had to turn down the graphics settings to run smoothly, and then for the life me, I was puzzled every time someone talked about people's eye color or how annoying the Fade was because you couldn't see anything. It wasn't til I re-played years later that I realize with good settings, you saw VERY different things, and the Fade was creepy and blurry for the first time and I could actually see my PC's eye color in the cutscenes. I imagine folks must be having a similar experience with DA:I on last gen systems in some cases.

The thing I really hate with CC colour is that our perception of colour is changed by the colour that surrounds it. The CC has that Fade greenish hue that makes me completely skewed my green/brown/yellow perception. Luthiel's eye look green in the CC and is actually golden in normal lighting, plus her blonde hair is much darker than I intended. And Hawke's CC has that reddish hue that makes my Hawke getting not enough brown on her hair.

 

I just wish they'll make "normal lighting" or whatever it means for Black Emporium. Grrrr...

I have to say I’m looking forward to seeing what improvements the dev’s have made to the black emporium from the Beta. There was a lot of potential there to solve some of the issues people have had since release.

Without going into detail because NDA, I can at least say that, with the Black Emporium, I was finally able to get my IQ's hair/eye/skin color in the exact tones I'd originally envisioned Ari having. Five attempts on the game's chargen and I still couldn't get it right, the mirror finally did the trick.

Now if only that Hawke chargen could get a lighting revamp too... I gave up on trying to make my Hakwe resemble her DA2 features and settled for something vaguely recognizable, because I basically can't see sh☆t in that ultra dark CC. It manages to be darker than DAO's, I didn't think that was even possible.
