Nope, no Photoshop. It seems to happen when I remain in flycam mode at the end of the Wicked Grace scene, so I'm still in the tavern when it ends, even though my Inquisitor isn't. If I remain in flycam mode and reload to an earlier save (specifically, the one with my Inquisitor standing in front of Varric, ready to trigger the Wicked Grace scene), the game will reload and I'll still be in the tavern in flycam mode. There are two Cullens and a Josephine off to the side.

 

I hope you don't mind me saving your screenshots to use as reference for my portrait practices My own screenshots are not nearly as good. My computer is not the most powerful...

wonderful insightful conversation at the end where Harding says to you about how the more you do these amazing things and become a legend, the less the people see that you're still just a person.  It hit me in the feels when she called me Trevelyan instead of Your Worship.

 

That being said, there's the moments, drinking with Bull and the Chargers, the pranks with Sera (aside; which I didn't do on my first playthrough.  With that Inquisitor I thought it was a step too far because there had to be some decorum), Varric and the Wicked Grace game, the start of the relationship with Cullen and the conversation with him after Perseverance where you can tell him that the people surrounding you keep you grounded.  It doesn't quite have the same family feel of DA2 (in my mind) but you get the sense that the majority care enough to remind you that they see something more than just the title or at least coming around to it.

I think you can play it at any time, you just need to unlock it at the war table. I would advise leaving it until post game however unless you’re at level 20 already, the enemies in it are a lot stronger than those in the base game.

Yes, you need to reblog, although for some posts you may have a "reply" button that allows you to reply just to that person instead of posting on your blog for all your followers to see (it's the button that looks like a word bubble). I don't know all the rubrics that make the button show up, but sometimes it's only for posts with a questionmark at the end of the text. But, since reblogging is the normal way to respond, no one on tumblr will think you're weird or note grubbing for doing it. If you just reblogged yourself a lot because you clearly want folks to give you more notes... that's different and dash clogging. 

 

The other alternative is to send a private ask to that person if you truly want it to be private.

I'm going to have to save the DLC for later due to work and life obligations. I agree about the family feel in general, though I notice my IQs do feel quite close to different individual companions - my Dalish warrior feels particularly close to Cass, for instance. And Cass and Solas, surprisingly, develop into a very respectful, almost friendly relationship when they're regularly in your party. I heard a fascinating conversation between them yesterday about her faith in the Maker that I really wish I could have captured; I definitely got the sense that he admires her.

So, I'm fighting my way to the Temple in the Arbor Wilds - I just came across a bunch of people I assumed were mages, because they were dressed like Anders in DA2 - but they're fighting with swords!  I always gave my Mages a fallback lethal weapon in DAO, so I thought that was the case here, but none of them are actually using magic.  How odd!

Hi everyone.  
Really enjoying all the amazing Cullen screenshots.  I'm holding off playing my Trev (want to do it from the start again as my canon run to include the DLC) but I am missing him!  

I was wondering if I could ask the Cullen thread a non-Cullen question.  
I've been having a bit of a sort through my files and I found my half finished Dragon Age fic that I started writing some time again (Around the time of Awakenings, I would guess, as there's no reference to DA2 characters in there).  It's quite an angsty story about my warden and how she dealth with her guilt and feelings after defeating the Archdemon, whilst struggling to take on the multiple roles of Queen, Warden Commander, Arlessa of Aramanthine in a less that ideal situation.  

I am never going to have the time to finish it as it needs some fleshing out (plus it's huge - 45 pages!), but most of the chapters are 'finished' - it's just the overall structure of the story that isn't quite there.  
Taken as a series of time hop chapters, it does kind of work.

Do you think anyone would be interested in reading it if I found a fan-fic site to put it on?  I've never put anything online before like that and I'm not hugely bothered about feedback etc - but it'd be a shame to waste it if people would be interested, however, I don't want to annoy people by there not being a properly fleshed out story, I'm not sure what the communities tend to be like on those types of sites.  

Any thoughts?

Her eyes shot open, and she felt her stomach heave.  Disorientated, she rolled to one side, finding herself on a small bedroll.  She choked back the bile in her throat and clutched a hand to her head, desperately trying to remember what had happened.  “You're awake!  Wait, stay there don't try to get up,” a familiar voice soothed. 
As she tried to move the wave of nausea overtook her again, and large hands swept her hair out of her face just in time as she vomited over the side of the bedroll.  She remained like that for a moment, head down, forcing herself to remember.  “Alex - Alexander?”  She turned slowly to look at the person who appeared to be looking after her.  His sandy hair was dark in the limited light, and his face was shadowed. 
“Erm.. sort of  - Alistair.  You're in the Grey Warden compound at Ostagar.  You took the joining yesterday.  You're officially a Grey Warden now, so, ah, welcome I suppose?” 
She looked around, fighting off the throbbing pain that flashed there as the man – Alistair – shovelled the pile of vomit that she had made off to the side of the small clearing they were in.  A flash of embarrassment overtook the pain in her head.  “Thank you,” she muttered. 
“Oh it's ok.  We've all been there.  Well, sort of.  At least you didn't throw up in your own boots,” she replied, sounding more cheerful that Elissa thought that she would if she had to clean up someone else's stomach contents.  Alistair continued to chatter.  “I used to work in the stables and the mabari pens, so I'm used to it.  I mean, not that I'm comparing you to a horse.  Or a dog!  No, I just meant, oh Maker...” he made his way back across the clearing towards her and sat on a nearby boulder.  “I'm glad you survived, anyway,”
Survived. That was it.  The strange ritual with the blood.  One man – Daveth? - dying, and the other one – she had remembered him, vaguely, from Highever - being killed by Duncan's blade for trying to back out.  Then it had been her turn.  She remembered nothing after sipping the vile concoction from the chalice.  She had been sleeping under an unfamiliar cloak, Alistair's, she guessed, and she pulled it closer around her shoulders.  It smelled faintly of lemons, and a not unpleasant woody scent. “What time is it?” she asked, looking up at the inky sky.
“3, maybe 4 o clock?” Alistair guessed.  “I'm not sure really.  I was just reading a chantry thing about the old magisters while I waited,”

“You've stayed up this late waiting for me to wake up?” Elissa asked, surprised and slightly touched.  Alistair's cheeks flushed, the firelight highlighting his embarrassment. “Erm, yes well – nobody did it for me and it wasn’t exactly the nicest thing waking up in the darkness not knowing what was going on.  So I thought you might want somebody here to talk to,” He busied himself at the fire.  “Do you want some tea?  I made some,” 
Elissa accepted the tin mug he held out to her, wrapping her hands gratefully around the warm mug. She took a cautious sip, and was taken aback by the amount of honey that was mixed into the drink.  “That's really sweet!” she exclaimed. 

“Oh it's fine, anytime,” Alistair replied, misunderstanding her, and for the first time in over a week Elissa laughed out loud, almost choking on her drink. 
“I meant the tea!,” she spluttered and then felt guilty as his cheeks turned red again “but it was very nice of you,”  She watched him shake his head, then break into a grin himself at the sight of her mirth. 

“Well at least I've made you smile,” he drained his mug.  “We ought to get some sleep, anyway.  It's the final preparations tomorrow so they'll be giving out orders allocating training groups,” Alistair shuffled across to the second bedroll, bundling the top part of it up into a makeshift pillow, and threw some dirt onto the fire from where he lay.  Elissa finished her own tea, and settled down, drawing the cloak up around her. 

“Sleep tight,” he whispered through the darkness
“Good night,” she whispered back.  They lay in silence for a minute, sleep evading Elissa even though she was exhausted still.  She could hear the sound of his breathing, but he didn’t sound like he was sleeping.   “Alistair?”
“Mmm?”

“Thank you for tonight.  It was really sweet of you to look after me.  And to make me tea,”  She smiled at his small chuckle. 

“Well I'm always here for a damsel in distress!  Good night,”

I posted mine for the first time ever a few months ago. And it is a work in progress, but I have still gotten nice feedback and support. It is a nice system, because the people that are reading it are already predisposed to like it because it s a fan fiction...ie, they gobble up DA stories (just like me!!).  I've read hundreds of em myself...and am always pleased, even with the unfinished ones. 

 

So...do it!!!  It has been a really cool experience for me, personally!!!  Why keep it hidden?  Let folks enjoy your work!!  Good luck!!

Idk, I never saw anyone thanking anyone for likes or reblog on tumblr, unlike Deviant art when usually people go to other people's page to comment (thanks, llamas etc).

Someone mind explaining to me how Tumbr reblogs and comments work?! I mean, if I want to reply to someone's comment on one of my drawings, do I have to reblog? Do I essentially re-re-blog my own stuff?! 

 

Yeah, you have to keep in mind that Tumblr is a collection of blogs to post and share content so it's not really set up for direct commmunication as easily as say DeviantArt or Facebook. And your intentions are awesome of course but please know that nobody expects you to thank them for compliments, if you feel inclined I'd just send them an Ask or fan mail (if you don't want to reblog), follow them back. I think you can only do a direct reply (If you hover over the reblog) if you have the Xkit extension installed on your browser.

...I am never going to have the time to finish it as it needs some fleshing out (plus it's huge - 45 pages!), but most of the chapters are 'finished' - it's just the overall structure of the story that isn't quite there.
Taken as a series of time hop chapters, it does kind of work.

Do you think anyone would be interested in reading it if I found a fan-fic site to put it on? I've never put anything online before like that and I'm not hugely bothered about feedback etc - but it'd be a shame to waste it if people would be interested, however, I don't want to annoy people by there not being a properly fleshed out story, I'm not sure what the communities tend to be like on those types of sites.

I'd go with, publish it - if nothing else, at least for the sake of archiving it for yourself. I've lost a regretable amount of "personal" writing (stuff I wrote for myself rather for the fandom, I mean) to the years for having no online backup - moving to college, moving for work, HD crashes, even a house fire that took my laptop with all my writing since the days of my 12 year old Mary Sues. I keep thinking if I'd been less silly/insecure about it and just posted those fics online, they wouldn't be lost forever now.

Plus, you never know - something that you think absolutely no one will ever care about may end up being someone's favorite fic in the world out there. I've been pretty surprised by the positive reaction your most unexpected fics can get.

The one thing I would do in your case, though, is to state clearly and upfront that this work is not finished and may never be. There is little worse in the fanfiction world than to get really hooked on a work-in-progress only to find out later that it has been abandoned and will never be finished. So just put it out there that you're archiving this as snippets, or a finished series of scenes in the same universe, and people should enjoy it for what it is and not create expectations you're not ready to meet. Otherwise, go ahead and post it!
