Okay wonder how many hours have you all logged in playthroughs? Just curious. Also would you all recommend it to others that haven't really played games but is looking for a new hobby? My youngest is typing up a report and he wanted me to ask. It's for school he's been reading up on the graphics design all that went into make this game and how it's changed the gaming world. I have over 1000 hrs here. He justs needs some real opinions to finish it thanks for any feedback.
Not sure how many hours honestly...but It's up there in hours I'm sure (well over 1000 if I were to guess). Not counting Jaws of Hakkon I've done 5 complete playthroughs of the regular game, but have only kept 3 of the characters (I just can't seem to get my "canon" warrior how I like her).
Dragon Age: Inquisition is an excellent game, and is well-deserved of its kudos and accolades IMHO, but I would argue that it has not changed the gaming world, but influenced the single-player RPG genre. I would argue instead that Bioware as a company, in reference to their entire game history, has helped shape the gaming world, especially in the RPG genre.
Edit: Holy hell I just saw that new Greendelle WIP. I think I need to pray...a lot. ![]()

im not 100%sure on this but the coders said that while they were trying to fix the mod manager and the dai modding tool to scan for the patches they found a folder for the BE it could be on this patch or on the next or they could prepare for a free DLC for it... only one way to find out i guess
let us know! I'm waiting for a dr appt. for an hour now.im not 100%sure on this but the coders said that while they were trying to fix the mod manager and the dai modding tool to scan for the patches they found a folder for the BE it could be on this patch or on the next or they could prepare for a free DLC for it... only one way to find out i guess
Honestly I can wait for the BE - I just want them to fix whatever they did that made the game not work with hotsampling. Then maybe I could actually bring myself to upgrade and buy the dlc. ![]()

If you know the ppl who made that you should prob contact them and let them know that its not working with the new patches and maybe they can provide a fix for it

You'd think they'd release BE with a big fanfare, tho.
Yea i will let you guys know if origin stops crashing on me
No update for me, that strange lol
for those of u who are not sure if u are on the current patch go into the patch folder and the package.mft file should look something like this now

if u are still not sure open a note pad and drag and drop the package . mft file into notepad and it will tell u what version ur on, it should say version 7

I don't think that SRWE was made for anything in specific. It's just a window editor that was posted up by a Skryim modder on the Nexus. It just so happens that it works with many games, and then there's other games it won't work for at all. In fact, it won't work to hotsample Skyrim. It seems to be one of those things that works for some and not for others and if it doesn't then you're S.O.L. I know someone else is going to be posting up a question on Dead End Thrills, a huge screenarchery site, to see if someone can figure out a workaround. It's also possible that a new patch may all of a sudden start working again. I just need to find someone to test it.

Seems a little strange. I assumed SRWE was just an overlay program not a direct mod. I mean your not technically reverted files or anything. Thus I find it a bit puzzling that it would not work with a certain patch.

Hope that person will update his/her tool soon considering soo many ppl use it. And i would hate to see pretty Cullen screen shots gone

Origin says 907 but for a while I was playing on a different account, probably logged an extra 300 hrs. i'd say roughly 50-60 hrs of that was in CC though (human females are a pain in the ... to make) and a couple hundred hours are in unfinished playthroughs. I've only actually completed 7 runs @ roughly 50-60 hrs each.
If they like reading or watching movies then I would definitely recommend it as an alternative to those. Most people I know their only interest in games extend to facebook.

I don't know much about the tool other than that it allows for window size changing on the fly, and causes the game to re-render to the window's resolution (if it works as it should), but from what I've heard from others, it's something that the latest patch changed about the DA:I executable.
I'm having to repair the game, at the moment. Didn't seem to download the patch right, or something. Who knows. I am going to wait to post on DET until I can test this out, but it looked like the executable was the same one as before, so I'm not holding my breath.
And there is so much confusion about SRWE, so let me try and put the record straight: all SRWE does is resize the game window, but it can be used to resize the window at literally any resolution, so it allows you to run a resolution outside your native one. It has nothing to do with hotsampling. That is engine-related, though as you can see here, games can disable (even if by accident) a native capability of the game engine. SRWE does work with Skyrim, but you have to set the resolution before you play in the SkyrimPrefs.ini, and then use SRWE to resize the window to fit your screen. This is the case for a number of games. Other programs have similar functions, like Windowed Borderless Gaming, and GeDoSaTo performs similar functions and more. But the main reason for these tools is to allow you to downsample without using hardware downsampling, and thus to rid yourself of hardware restrictions.
So, bottom line: there is nothing at all wrong with the SRWE, and no "incompatibility" per se. What has happened is that Bioware made some change to DA:I that means the game no longer re-renders when the window is resized. No external program will change this. But the folks at DET sometimes come up with amazing hacks (I am a fairly active member of that community), so a question like this is best put to them when it seems the developer will offer no solutions.
Edit: Nope, no dice with this update, either. We'll see if someone at DET can rise to the challenge.
update on the patch there doesnt seem to be a BE yet just a mp dlc...

Ah, well. Cullen just has to wait, then, lol.
Edit: And, as usual, the patch broke my game...
