Looking at his outfit closely his chest plate has 7 little holes in it, as if he'd removed something from the front of it. In TME they often talk describe people stripping and remove family crests and filigrees from their armour, so perhaps the chest plate was originally from his Templar armour and he just removed the Templar insignia from it?
... I think I kinda like that idea, it's very symbolic!
I just hope it's not an excuse for making Cullen okay with us doing things he obviously would not stand for because he's now an advisor.

To an extent he'll have to suck it up and take orders, but I don't think he should stand for anything absolutely awful we'd do... like trying to romance him as a blood mage, LOL!

Well, we know that BM is out the window for specializations, but maybe Necromancy might hold the same negative connotation?

We can be a necromancer though, so perhaps the blood mage thing will come into it later on after some sort of dark proposition? I know they said they didn't want all talents to just be something we pick off a tree.
