Van Helsing isn't a comedy?
::hides::
Not quite in the vein of Leslie Nielsen's clumsy dracula though
I'll watch almost anything with a vampire in it.
Almost, because I refuse to watch Twilight.

Almost, because I refuse to watch Twilight.
I tried once...I found it to be an exceedingly uncomfortable experience.
I think I got to a scene in a forest, and it was then that I stopped trying, and I didn't try again. Lol.
I fully support your refusal. ![]()

... The scene where he glitters in the sun in front of Bella and calls himself a monster?
Oh come on, that's the best comedic scene of the century. I laughed three days from that one.

I mean, I laughed too! But there's only so long a person can try to chortle in an quiet and unobtrusive fashion and not start to worry that they might actually become a little sick with laughter.
To me, it didn't even feel like the good sort of laughter, but more like being tickled with a branch.
If I could watch MST3K screening that film, though, I would be so there.

So um I can't imagine anyone cares but I finished the romance for a second time. And I've come to the conclusion I must've been out of it the first time. That was as close to "things jtav wants in a romance" as I've ever played. I don't even have analytic thoughts, just that this was exactly what I wanted. A knight in shining armor with presence who treats me like gold and doesn't require me to jump through hoops.
I actually felt the same way! Actually I think my whole first playthrough was just not the best ride it could've been, maybe because I missed so much on the romance early on because I flirted with everyone and ended up dancing with Josephine in the ball. (lol that made me so confused like why am I dancing like this with my friend? Is she like a Garrus BFF but female?)
But the other time around I got to play it the whole story and every character meant more to me. It was my completionist character so I payed double amount of attention to everything at it was double the fun! ![]()

It is definitely a comedy if you view it through the lense that everyone is aware this is a completely ridiculous and over the top movie, but have decided to channel Leslie Nielsen's performance in Airplane and attempt to play it completely straight.
Stephen Sommers movies are usually this side of goofy, that you can't just help but admire them? It's why I maintain that Deep Rising is one of the best monster movies that was ever made, simply because it knows how ridiculous it is.

I love their rifftrax for that movie, there's so many gems;
"Lllllaaaaadddiiiiessss!"
"Line! ... Line! ... Line!"

That cosplay is amazing.
Furthermore, I am clearly a shallow person because that woman is making me wish Cullen was a romanceable female.
Dammit, now I'm imagining Cullen as a woman and she's pretty hot... genderbending cosplay, thanks for making it weird!

I hadn't noticed he was supposed to be Anders until you mentioned it (the feather collar is mostly hidden by the sign,) lol, but yes, and pretty well done, too.

Did you guys saw this? This is epic!!

A question unrelated to Cullen, but when do you think the best moment in-game to play Jaws of Hakkon? My wee lil' elf is level 22, between Abyss & WE/WH. Guess that it's better to play before the ending right?

That's about the stage I played the dlc on a second run. By the end of the dlc I was lvl 27 and had to play through the rest of the game not gaining lvls or points. But of course I looked cool doing it
and I could actually benefit from the new skill (although I had to up my difficulty as everything I gained there was pretty much useless as I was very over levelled. But yeah it's a good place to play it.

You can gain five levels in JoH? That's a lot.

You can if you have the increased experience mod
Actually I was lvl 20 when I started it so 7 lvls. I'm not a completionist so I would barely reach level 20 by the end of Arbor Wilds and I wanted to play JoH way before that so I had to cheat a little.

Ah ah, anyway I'm already over-levelled for WE/WH. Last time IIRC it was something like level 15-17? For some weird reason after WE/WH everyone started to talk about Arbor wild so there's a sense of urgency there... To just do it directly.
So normally I just do one area before Abyss after arrival at skyhold then do every single area in between Abyss & WE/WH. Romancing Cullen it's REALLY nice because I managed to spread Cullen's convo & scenes & everything else in-between. And we still get his special night scene after both WE/WH and Abyss, and his prayer scene after Temple of Mythal... Cullen's romance is really well spread ![]()

Yeah it does start getting urgent, but it seems more urgent if you do The Abyss first cause you know you ought to get a wriggle on saving that Empress
I like doing Exalted Plains and Emerald Graves then Wicked eyes. Take a break and do the dlc then on to Empress and then Crestwood and Western Approach before finally getting to the Abyss. All the other little places in between so I have everything done befor Arbor Wilds.
Yes he is very well spread out not like a certain Elf ![]()

Hehehe I'm still debating whether my next Lavellan will go with this certain elf or not. Probably will need two PTs to be done at the same time with one Trevelyan going for Cullen or Wee Miss Lavellan will fall for Cullen instead...
That's to say, isn't this Certain Mr Elf leave at the end without saying anything because he really loves Lavellan...? I wonder whether he hopes that Lavellan will go on living without him because if they stay together it won't be OK for her since she's a mortal and everything. Staying with him will just make everything complicated and dangerous for both of them.
Anyway for all of you who romance Cullen with Lavellan, what's your headcannon of what happens post-Inquisition? Some people told me because their clan is killed so Lavellan will stay definitely with Cullen. But my Lavellan's the First of her Clan still and her clan survived. She was supposed to go back & one day lead her clan. And well, having a shem lover beyond inquisition is... well... idk. It won't work well. Hmmm... Except if when she becomes the quizzy the Keeper already took in a replacement...?
Do we have any confirmation whether you're still First of the Clan for all mage Lavellan or does the Clan just replace the First...? They do have around 3 mages at the same time no? The Keeper, The First, and (the second).

I went against my PC master race ways and got a PS4. Guess who can finally play DA:I without issues?!
OMGGG Cullen's romance is twenty times better with decent graphics and non-crashing computers. I forgot just how epic his romance line is. It. Is. AMAZING! And yes we already knew that. It's like new all over again for me though. /dork shot.

I have yet to play as an elf in any of my PTs, but this is really interesting.
Edit: Scratch that last bit. Working and typing and not fully reading what you're responding to makes for a bad mix.

Off topic I know but as you all big RPG fans thought I should mention Steam has Knights of the old Republic 1 & 2 for £2 each. And one of my favourite RPG vampire bloodlines for £3.
And to put us back on topic, I love Cullen! :-)
