Anyway for all of you who romance Cullen with Lavellan, what's your headcannon of what happens post-Inquisition? Some people told me because their clan is killed so Lavellan will stay definitely with Cullen. But my Lavellan's the First of her Clan still and her clan survived. She was supposed to go back & one day lead her clan. And well, having a shem lover beyond inquisition is... well... idk. It won't work well. Hmmm... Except if when she becomes the quizzy the Keeper already took in a replacement...?

Do we have any confirmation whether you're still First of the Clan for all mage Lavellan or does the Clan just replace the First...? They do have around 3 mages at the same time no? The Keeper, The First, and (the second).

I think it’s at the very least implied that the clans second takes over from your inquisitor. Can’t remember if it’s via dialogue or one of the letters between you and the keeper.

I head canon that my elven apprentice quizzies, after learning about what really happened with the ancient elves and the stuff in JoH, decide that the dalish way of living is not the right path, there’s no point in looking to the past to try and find a future, they have to create a new one and learn from past mistakes. So while she still misses her clan and wishes to return to them she knows that they and many other clans will never change their ways so the best way she can help and support them and the rest of elven people is through the contacts she has in the inquisition, whether it be blackmailing/threatening nobles to stop them being massive a-holes to elves or trying to improve things in alienages or acquiring some land where the elven people can make a new home, she’ll do whatever she can to make things better.

As for Cullen, I always head canon that he would never be accepted by her clan and that she essentially has to choose between the two of them but she is more than willing to create a new life for herself with Cullen post-inquisition.

Guess that it's only normal for the Clan to choose another person to "replace" the place of the First who's gone away probably for good. Still, that's rather sad though. You're replaced. Whew.

Hi everyone!!

Off topic I know but as you all big RPG fans thought I should mention Steam has Knights of the old Republic 1 & 2 for £2 each. And one of my favourite RPG vampire bloodlines for £3.

And to put us back on topic, I love Cullen! :-)

KOTOR 2 still has a special place in my heart as my first real RPG played. Also the LI feature of Bioware games, even though it's not technically BW Atton I'm looking at you.

I hear KOTOR was even better though.

Nice find and share!

IMO KOTOR is far better than 2 although I still like 2 a lot, but Mmmm Carth (great romance) maybe Atton should take lessons from him on how to break rules in love :)

You know, I still feel slighted and robbed over the lack of an actual romance with Atton.

Gah, I've heard great things about Carth, but his voice is forever Kaidan's to me.

I wipe the post ending from my mind and imagine the two off roaming the galaxy and getting up to all sorts of naughty things Jedi are not supposed to get up to. it helps....a bit lol

It's a little easier for me as I played KOTOR first and as I wasn't aware until much later that Raphael voiced them both, (I am slow on voice recognition). So I can separate them pretty easily.

How so?

Just basically what was up her sleeve, who she was really trying to help and what she really wanted to do with the Exile. She was very elusive.

I have only played the second one, once which was when it first came out. The bugs really got me down. So for £2 thought I would give it another go.

But I cannot speak highly enough about vampire bloodlines it is an amazing RPG, which can be very different on each play through as well as having 5 rather different endings for your character. No romance but I think you might all like Nines, I find him rather swoon worthy!

I've tried to make it through KOTOR soooo many times, but I just can't. The graphics are too dated, it doesn't display right on 1080p, and it doesn't work right on Windows 8.1. I bought it for my Galaxy Note phone, thinking that it was sure-fire way to get through the game on a small screen and nope...controls are busted. I know the storyline from reading, but alas I don't think I'll ever get through the actual game. I got into gaming too late for it.

As a side-thought, Steam does have a remastered Fable TLC...  :o

I also found NWN2 + MotB for $9.99 on GOG...I shall be picking that one up (because you can mod the bajeezus out of the graphics).

I think in that particular scene it's perspective since he's actually standing behind the others. But yeah, I also think it's just mistakes in the cutscenes like others are saying. I hadn't noticed the eye lines of the characters like that, but there's of course the infamous Halamshiral height problem where Cullen is like standing on the floor and everyone else is standing on the carpet or something. :P

For real-life fanfic purposes, I headcanon him as tall and built like a brick sh!thouse, like our impression the first time we saw him standing stock still and just blinking around the War Table.

211.jpg

Plus, I think we can assume that for the romance scenes they took a bit of extra care, since those are unique, and he's pretty much intended to be a bit taller than Trev.

^ this (okay, sorry, i'm a bit late to the height discussion)

Since the body models are all pretty interchangable among people of the same gender/race (annoying, really. i wish you could change that up a bit. i wish i could make a petite, built human female, or a lanky, tall male elf, but i know that will probably NEVER happen)

i, too, take it that Cullen is on the tall side, mostly based off of the concept art. a lot of the scenes where he's placed next to someone deliberately 'cheat' him up - higher in a seat, on the slightly higher ground, etc. in nearly all the cut scenes with trevelyan, he appears at least 2 inches taller than she is, sometimes he looks even taller than that. they also seem to cheat leliana 'down' a bit, so she looks more petite.

and in the concept art for blackwall, he's HUGE! for reference:

Spoiler

^and Cullen is about the same height, jsut not as broad.

I've never liked Blackwall's look, I'm still not keen on it but damn, his romance is great. I must admit I do struggle sometimes to decide whether to do a Cullen romance pt or a Blackwall.  Usually end up with Cullen cause I mostly play elves or humans and I am weak with Cullen.

I had the hardest time with this with my latest, and first smooth PT. I never really flirted with Blackwall, but figured why not at least see a bit of that side of him and...I almost and I mean almost went with him instead of Cullen. I can't say I find him all that attractive (beards just aren't my thing), but damn does that man have some plays with the flirts and actually having him as a party member who cares seems pretty legit on the romance scale.

I did some youtube research after the first few flirts . I had to know how that could unfold.

I use Flawless Widescreen program for Kotor to play it in 1080p. I'm currently replaying it and I have no problem enjoying it, but I'm a nostalgic fan.

I'm also one of those people who played Kotor 2 before Kotor and enjoyed them equally.

I had to roll a dwarf to romance him, which I don't normally play, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. yeah he's not shy at all in coming forward, it really threw me and it is nice having him in the party, you get hit and bam he comes out of nowhere to defend you, I know it's mechanics but it's also so romantic.

Same here. I definitely didn't expect him to be that way. Guess I'm too use to the Alistair/Cullen major awkward awards in flirting.

I don't know. Its not just mechanics if you're lucky enough to trigger his check up dialogue. In which case, I don't even think I'd know what to do with myself, because that is literally just too damn sweet. He's such a big softy at heart and I love that. Still contemplating doing another run with my current for him.

Now why can't Cullen be my battle buddy bodyguard of a human shield again? I think I need this in my life now.

Although a part of me thinks Cullen couldn't deal with that. He does tend to over worry.

I'm a big fan of the Star Wars universe. I greatly enjoyed the Jedi Knight storyline for The Old Republic, which is pretty much a direct extension of KOTOR (especially since they have the companion novel).

I'm just a big fan of eye candy. This is also why I'm wondering how I'm going to get through Baldur's Gate II, as I've been told I absolutely have to play it.

That is literally the only downside to the classics. It seems most of them just don't translate over very well and it is frustrating playing a game that is so visually lacking, but the stories are worth it. There are some I can't do, because the mechanics of playing just don't mesh with me. Such as the tactical view in DA:I. I never liked that strategy of play. I've been jaded by the easy real time gaming -_-

haha, I only made it through the Smuggler's story in TOR and I loved every minute of it. Han Solo's been a favorite of mine since I was six or so. Ugh, if I ever find a computer worth anything I'll have to check out TOR again.

I'm struggling my way through the BG series for the first time as we speak. I think I've been spoiled by modern graphics- I miss being able to see characters properly
And I managed to pay for it on unmoddable android, discovering this only after I'd found a load of awesome ones.

Well... The first game I played on my first console ever was Final Fantasy 7. At that time everyone was like "ooooh, aaaah, how can we do something better than this?"...

...We've come a long way from that, haven't we? XD

But imagine Cullen on FF7 graphic? It'll still be a cute Cullen ;)

My favorite so far is the Sith Warrior, but Jedi Knight is a very very close second. It's because of Lord Scourge. He was originally intended to be romanceable but was cut prior to release. Good grief if only...he would be the perfect romance for an "anti-hero" Jedi Knight. If that romance was actually in the game the Jedi Knight story would be far and away my favorite. Too bad we're stuck with Doc...just ugh...I head-cannoned that my Knight grew very close to Scourge and ended up leaving Doc for him. You can see where the romance was supposed to be in the game since your crew actually asks several times about Scourge's "influence" on you.

There's a "remastered" version of BG on steam. I've been looking into buying that one.

My first FF game was VIII, which will always be my favorite for that reason. FFVII was my 2nd. Steam has them both for pretty cheap, and they've been "remastered" so the graphics aren't that bad...meaning they're smooth blocks instead of blurry ones.

I also absolutely loved FFIX (Vivi!) and FFX (for the music).

Sith Inquisitor is my favourite. She's crazy, her bf Andronikos is crazy, they are perfect together and their romance is adorable. Hands down the best in the game for me.

I absolutely love Doc, such a charmer
